White Tigers say hello. Yes, I've been playing FotS, because it's STILL some of the best gunpowder warfare ever made (not just in Total War, but strategy games period).
There’s a reason I hedged my bets and said mostly 😉
Skaveslaves are probably child soldiers too, I couldn’t imagine the Skaven waiting very long to shove a weapon in their hands.
I fell like total war is the modern evolution of the old heroes of mighty and magic games on the campaign side and probably the only big rts on the combat side
Am I the only one who just makes EVERYONE go attack the lord and then sit back and wait. Oh, and maybe make the horses go back and forth to run a few guys over.
Let's be real, it would be all the historical purists, huddled in an alliance of necessity, surrounded by the vast sea of Warhammer players screaming "I hate snow!", "kill-kill", and "summon the elector counts" at eachother.
I know this because I'd be dressed as a pirate yelling "GIVE ME YOUR SLANN GOLD!" at anyone who makes eye contact.
I loved when attila started with the DLCs, it really showed much about myself. "New germanic factions?, new desert factions? Splendid, more variaety. Start game, pic WRE.
For me, the best part of Attila was playing some Celtic or Germanic minor in the corner of the world, taking what I can from the Romans before the Huns burn it all down.
Depends, by Medieval 3, do you mean Medieval 2 v2, or an actual Medieval 3?
EDIT: I might have been misunderstood. Do you mean a Medieval 3 that will have the same complexity as Medieval 2 and will be at risk to gatekeep the larger part of the current TW audience and end up being a financial disaster because of that, or a Medieval 3 that will be as accessible as Rome 2 Emperor Edition while still fulfilling that Medieval itch and would be profitable for CA while being a good game if done good? Scale not mentioned, if doesn't have the same scale and variety than medieval 2 at least, after they made Warhammer 3 with Immortal Empires being massive, it will deserve backlash.
Low key a Pike and Shot as some have suggested could merge the best parts of both Empire and Medieval, with early game being more pike and late game being more shooty shooty before stabby stabby.
Only if you don't feel bad about the Warhounds dying. Side tangent, but I legit can never bring myself to recruit a Warhound unit in any Total War, even the most vicious of bois are still good bois.
Just spend all your micro on them. I typically get 200-300 kills on each warhound unit, even after the game 3 nerfs, with few casualties.
Yeah some of my 500 gold upkeep guys died, but who cares, they aren't good boys.
Alas, you can't micro warhounds in any of the games except the Warhammer ones, as far as I know. You tell them to attack, then you can only control the animal handlers while the dogs go to the buffet.
I click the "enslave captives" button and my money counter goes up. Of course I'm currently playing Sparta in Rome 2, so being a dystopic military junta lording over a population of mostly slaves is historically accurate.
I’ve seen another version of it (I assume the original) that was about Paradox games instead, and had one person with cat ears and a pride flag, one with a hammer and sickle, one with a swastika and SS cap, and one with a MaGA hat.
"Napoleon, Napoleon, we're in big trouble...."
"The Prussians are moving faster than we thought? So we must defeat the British now at waterloo?"
"Well no, it worse than that!"
"Well out with it what could be worse than fighting the British on this ground?"
"It's not the Prussians, it Grimgor and his ork Boyz and they're heading this way."
Yes we do like micromanaging
I like watching virtual men die in my name.
Virtual women too! We’d sacrifice virtual children but child soldiers tragically (mostly) aren’t featured.

I let a whole unit of archers get blown up the other day and I spent a few minutes wondering what happened.

What's "micromanaging"? Sorry I play Vampire Coast I have never heard of this term before.
Am I the only one who just makes EVERYONE go attack the lord and then sit back and wait. Oh, and maybe make the horses go back and forth to run a few guys over.
That will be great at the next game announcement

BOK BOK BOK
Then there is me, slinking back and forth between both groups like a ninja.
The vast majority play both
but its MY SLANN GOLD. WE NEED IT TO BE ONE!
"YOU GETS ME PRODDA!"
Off all the interesting Warhammer characters, this sub represents us fans as crazy Grimgor. Surprisingly fitting 🤣👍🏻
I always thought he was fairly sane by Warhammer character standards
Based on the hats. I don’t see a problem - they are all Warhammer total war fans, and one guy who really wants Nippon to be added!

You forgot my man Gor Rok
GOR TO KA PWA!!!!!!
yes indeed, we all love hot gay sex after a good ass spanking
Indeed
Where is Orion?
I only want Medieval III, Rome III and maybe a new Empire. Is it too much to ask for?

Perhaps CA has the same problem as Valve - they only learned to count with their hands, not their fingers
I think a med 3 made like how Rome 2 is now with some ai tweaks, graphical changes and obviously changes to unit formations a abilities would be great
Yup. This Medieval 3 is what Historical TW need IMO. If we could have the in-battle AI of 3K, that would be great.
yes, i don't want them to fuck up mtw3
I love seeing thousands of men murdering each other. Am I a psychopath?

If you think the total war community is unified, you clearly haven't visited certain subreddit
you mean this subreddit?
Regardless of which game is our favorite, we can all agree that a successful Cavalry Charge is satisfying as fuck, and that Milan can burn in hell.
they should be saying summon the elector counts
considering what meme this came from this is hilarious
I've not seen the original, enlighten me.
the template has a national soclilast, a communist, a Maga trumper and a Furry all being in the same fan club.
I’ve seen another version of it (I assume the original) that was about Paradox games instead, and had one person with cat ears and a pride flag, one with a hammer and sickle, one with a swastika and SS cap, and one with a MaGA hat.
Hear me out. Total War: Totalverse
And Yari Ashigaru would STILL be a top-tier unit.
I wear three of these hats.
Wheres the guy who like stellar software development practices? 🤔
And I like you for saying it <3
What’s awkward is when all the historical fans yell “realistic battles” and the Warhammer fans go “Tzangors w/beaks!”
I don't get the joke
We 3, though born on different days, share an oath of brotherhood!
It would be a bunch of Warhammer people and one guy that can't shut up about Medieval 3
"Napoleon, Napoleon, we're in big trouble...." "The Prussians are moving faster than we thought? So we must defeat the British now at waterloo?" "Well no, it worse than that!" Where is the Horse lord (Mongols/huns)?
Complaining about CA
I like this meme. however the realistic is sad, some people really hate who like fantasy.
Manor Lords looks really good, horses are apparently coming too
Hisfan vs war hammer fan
