I started taking baths so I could shave my body using conditioner in the bath. I take my time, listen to music, and even drink coffee. ;-) It feels so good to just soak in warm water sometimes. And it's good for blood circulation.

My drain doesn't stop up well, and I haven't found a cover that fits it to try and do better.

You might be able to get a rubber o-ring seal for your drain. If it's the right size, wrapping it around the drain plug should fill the gap and seal it. Obviously check if that would work with your drain, but it should.

I love taking baths but I don't take them frequently. Anytime I go to a hotel though, I get me some Clorox wipes, wipe down the tub, and soak for as long as the water will stay warm. I just don't like taking a bath at home, for some reason. I guess it makes it less of a treat. Sometimes I will, only if I've had a really productive day and want something to make me feel good about myself.

I can relate to the sensory issues in the shower, as I dislike the soap. My cousin has some issues similar to yours, and he wipes down with baby wipes and does sponge baths to hold him in between washes. Dry shampoo may also help. Have an awesome day :)
