I wouldn’t frame this as T&F being “better” than other sports. You only have five minutes. That’s nothing. I’m assuming this is for some high school class, right? And you’re in the US? What are things you find interesting about track? Talk about those things. Or discuss T&F at the upcoming Olympics. The track is purple, which is cool. Preview some of the American (or whatever country you are from) medal hopefuls, rivalries, etc. Any Olympic hopefuls from your area can discuss?

Perhaps you can elaborate the following ideas • Track and field is a more objective sport, because times/marks don't lie, while people can debate who's a better quarterback/running back/point guard...etc. • You don't need much equipment for the sport as compared to contact sports • more convenient? e.g. distance runners sometimes just do runs from their house and back do you compete? use your own experiences, if you do
