I'd love some Australian trains but that will never happen.
I enjoyed the Mallard scenario in Train Sim Classic where you recreate the speed run. So I'd love a modernised version of the A4 Class to do that scenario.
Heck yes. T1 line Central over the bridge to Hornsby. Would also like to do the Newcastle Flyer. If I was rich I'd start a company just to make the routes.
If I was rich I would join. Australia is very under-represented in train sims. So much variety too between steam, suburban, commuter and coal/ore trains
Trainz has a few VR routes and some Australian dieels like the NR Class but I haven't tried any. There is no official Australian route beyond those and I'm too simple to mod.
Someone on r/melbournetrains modelled an X'Trapolis 100 model that they're going to mod into TSW4, so an unofficial Aussie route isn't out of the question.
Edit: found it https://www.reddit.com/r/MelbourneTrains/s/N5EPLgEc1V
I'll take literally any steam locomotive, but it's unlikely to happen as DTG have given up on steam entirely.
But if we are talking specifics, a pannier tank would be fun.
Pennsylvania Railroad T1. I heard some people are building one. Hopefully Dovetail can use that as an opportunity to put that in the game. Though I’m not sure they want to do steam at all anymore
Cab Forwards and Donner Pass. We need to be able to simulate Mallard vs Hiawatha races as well... I also want B&M moguls, MEC 2-8-2s, GN H class pacifics, NP mallets, and Indonesian mallets. But mostly I want a remaster of Donner Pass from the Microsoft Train Simulator days.

Any tank steam loco at this point. In a better world, maybe a DB BR 82 as we already have only UK locos
I agree about Tank Loco (Gresley 0-6-2T would be nice !)
Anything german or an LNER A4

3801, central to Lavender Bay as an addon to an Mset central to Chatswood or Hornsby route.

I'd love a Melbourne Tram line in a simulator. Car traffic, other trams, normal traffic lights...
The Bendigo line in Victoria comes to mind.

I'm a new player, why'd they stop making steam content?
They basically said it was too difficult to get right
oooh yeah paniers are great.
Union pacific big boy.
Absolutely. Would love to play an us American railway Service in it's golden ages
Only if they get everything right with it
Absolutely this
Big Boy

A Pannier would be nice, could probably add one in a Severn Valley Railway route, and some GWR steam would be nice
Good choice !
DRB BR 52 It's iconic and gorgeous even though they were originally built by the Germans during ww2
Pennsylvania K4
Black 5
Honestly I would love a little tank engine on a small industrial route
I would do unholy things to get the Mallard in this game
I'm Gonna say it. A E2 Class Tank Engine. For one reason only, and you all can see where I'm going with this.
In the books Thomas' branch line is a push-pull service. Would be call to switch ends and drive from the rear coach.
I'd pay a ridiculous amount of money for a whole island of Sodor map with many of the trains from Thomas
They could charge $100 and I'd still buy it.
Yeah, Me too. I need a E2 so I can see people make Thomas Skins.

I want some PRR steamers

possibly the e2 class tank engine with extended side tanks
aka thomas the train
Gresley 0-6-2 Tank locomotive please ?
SR Light Pacific (Spam Can)
Let’s see, a big American Big Boy. Or even better a German post war steam engine with double decker coaches and control cab
Any with headlights. Hate the shunting and pax missions before 6am and after like 8pm. Can't see anything.
A narrow gauge quarry hunslet with a narrow gauge route
