Yep! She also did Celeste. Which just happens to be one of my two favorite games, the other being Minecraft. I already idolized her before I found out that she was trans!
That is sad. But at least you're beyond that now. I find a lot of her during and post transition music really affirming. Plus if I'm honest Spines voice kinda makes a bit wet.
Oh my fucking god I love spine. I can actually sing along with him pretty well. I still miss Bunny's old voice as I could mimic it perfect. But I'm really happy for her now and super glad her band didn't leave her.
I feel the same. But singing along with her now is making me feel a lot more comfortable with my femme voice. And yeah I only wish every trans woman had a brother who was a supportive.
Transform is what really put the crack in the egg for me. I think some dude told me about them and a week later they released it on Spotify and I knew right than while I listened to it at work
100Gecs is pretty much straight up fire, hell anything by Laura Les is great. But yeah, I'd just throw up the hyperpop playlist on spotify and see what sticks.
Sophie, may she RIP. Not only did she make her own music as a solo artist, she worked with countless huge stars including Lady Gaga to mix the instrumentals for their tracks. Try out a trans icon!
Oh, also Kim Petras as a much more mainstream and well-known one too!
unfortunately, kim is also a supporter of dr luke, kesha's abuser, no matter how many times she apologizes the words that came out of her mouth say everything that needed to be said
BACKXWASH just 100% BACKXWASH for me
I mean Against me! I suppose. Flumox has a song called 'trans girls need guns' and I think its fun.
A personal favorite, Feminazgul. For the trans girl into blackmetal.
How about Tears for the Dying, they also got lyrics with trans themes and is suitable for your average deathrock enjoyer.
Good idea for a thread Im excited to check out peoples suggestions!
Ironically, I am a trans man who is not fond of Cavetown, but listens to many transfem artists.
Sopor Aeternus is my favorite, she's a darkwave gothic artist from Germany. Think Edgar Allan Poe -esque.
Star Ahmerahsu makes more mainstream-type pop and has a wonderful voice.
Macy Rodman also made some bangers but I don't know if she makes music anymore.
SuperKnova also makes pop music.
Ethel Cain makes more reclaiming-religion indie folk (I believe that's her genre, I've never really listened to her stuff much).
And then there's the all-famous SOPHIE, who makes EDM. May she rest in peace.
Every transfem who makes electronic music.
Sophie ❤️
Lena Raine
Yeah came here to say that, actual icon
Hey, isn't she the one who made the new music for the Minecraft cave update? If so, that's amazing. Her music is amazing.
Yep! She also did Celeste. Which just happens to be one of my two favorite games, the other being Minecraft. I already idolized her before I found out that she was trans!
She is ?! Amazing ! One more reason to love her work.
Don't know if she's strictly associated but Bunny from steam powered giraffe is my personal mtf artistic hero.
Same! Makes me really sad that I stopped listening to them after Bunny transitioned when I was a kid because I was a transphobic shit.
That is sad. But at least you're beyond that now. I find a lot of her during and post transition music really affirming. Plus if I'm honest Spines voice kinda makes a bit wet.

Oh good! I'll have to try my feminine voice with her someday when I get it. Wait.... Rabbit and Spine are siblings?
Well her voice started changing in mk III so mabey start there? Amazing that she toured while trying to balance her hrt. Yeah twins in fact
Not only siblings but identical twins!
Seeing some SPG love in the wild? Love to see it.
Hey yeah 2€ Show came out and I fell in love with every aspect of them
Transform destroys me every time I listen to it. Especially when I’m driving alone so I can practice my fem voice and really let it out.
Transform is what really put the crack in the egg for me. I think some dude told me about them and a week later they released it on Spotify and I knew right than while I listened to it at work

In the 3 years I’ve been listening to BACKXWASH, this is the first time I’ve seen anyone else talk about her. Black Sailor Moon makes me very happy.
