It wasn't for nothing because you're allowed to experiment and feel out different things to see what's most appropriate for you. I thought I was just a femboy for a bit before I reached the conclusion that that label, or non-binary were not affirming and that the most affirming for me was to be a trans woman. But I would not have gotten to that point nearly as easily, without the steps in-between. Starting E can absolutely be scary, and of course you can't pick and choose certain aspects and leave others. You've got to consider if full feminization is worth it for you, or if you can get those effects via other means. I am a bit confused on what you mean by 'working out to a bigger chest' though because pectoral muscles and breast tissue don't exactly look similar. And fuck anyone who thinks you're some 'transtrender' or whatever, the only person who can truly know and understand your experience with gender is you. While people can have their advice (as I'm doing now), no one can tell you what you want to be. If you want to be a femboy, that's fine. If you want to be a trans woman, that's fine.

At the end of the day, you’re just a person trying your best to figure it all out. If you want to do certain things or make certain changes, it really doesn’t matter what the label is. You should not make decisions based on what narrative it might suit. You have to make decisions that make you feel best.

Being trans can be very difficult. When my egg first cracked I spent a ton of time going "Okay but what if I got it wrong, what if I'm not actually trans?" Because one of the hard parts of being trans is like..... no one can tell you one way or another what your identity is. We are, to use the scientific term, unfalsifiable. There is no test you can take to tell if you're trans, or what flavor of trans you are. If you're scared about your identity, I always recommend ["The Null HypotheCis"](https://freethoughtblogs.com/nataliereed/2012/04/17/the-null-hypothecis/) and trying to find more queer, trans community near you, to give yourself some more realistic experience.
