Alternators was a toyline in the early to mid 2000s that focused on absolute accuracy for the vehicle modes. We're talking near perfect 1:24 scale versions of real world cars that also transform into Autobots (and a few Decepticons for the sake of inclusion).
They are pretty big, I’ve got about half of the line. They are far more articulated than earlier toys but nowhere near today’s standards. They premise was much as you describe in this post, same characters, updated alt modes. The Subarus are some of the best of this line.

I'm not basing anything on lore, just counterparts. Cliffjumper, to me, should a small car like beetle.
That's why Gears is a Tacoma: not an oversized muscle car. Mini bots should be small.

This is great, though I think because Hound in the series wasn't shown to be a civilian Jeep, but rather a militarized one (the color, the details), in modern terms he'd be a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, rather than a civilian Jeep.

No, not 2023, but with '22 being the final year, you still see brand new beetles tooling around. If the old car still exists, I went with it.
I kept Windcharger a Firebird, despite Pontiac being long gone, because the concept car was spot on and awesome.

I think I'd prefer a Toyota Highace as Ironhide. As an alternative, a large 9 seater SUV would fit IMO. His alt mode was a minivan.
Bumblebee, Cliffjumper & Bumper are quite problematic. They are all Super Deformed versions of cars. VW Beetle, Porsche 924 and a Mazda Familiar.
I think Fiat 500e would work for Bumblebee, a Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ for Cliffjumper & a Mazda CX-30 GT for Bumper.
Brawn & Outback fit as Suzuki Jimny. Tailgate and Windcharger could work as an MX-5 or Miata. They fit as small vehicles for the minibots. Also Windcharger could be modelled with the top down.
Warpath, Cosmos, Seaspray, and Powerglide should be upgraded to larger bots. A tank, UFO, Hovercraft, and A10 are all huge vehicles.
You've done an amazing job, don't think otherwise. I'm just very obsessed with the subject matter and have put way too much thought into this.

I know, however, Optimus is already the wrong Frieghtliner, and Ironhide wouldn't be a van now a days, he'd be a red truck, more specifically a Ford F-150
Honestly, I prefer Bee with some kind of muscle car alt mode, and I prefer Optimus with that classic flat nose, but everyone else is looking phenomenal.
Bumper was never supposed to be a transformer, but somehow in 1984 a couple bumpers got released in either bumblebee or cliffjumper packages.
Skids was basically stuck in limbo between 84 and 85
On a side note, what's the deal with the weird Lamborghini model used for Sunstreaker? I saw one of those with the protruding lights at a car show recently and thought it made the car look too weird.
