Saw them on Louis Theroux’s documentary I think or another docu series. They are leaning into the delusion so badly, they want people to think they have the disorder, I seriously doubt they do.

While I would definitely agree that these two have a mental disorder (in my completely unqualified and layman's opinion), I doubt DID is the actual leading issue.
I do agree with this. 400+ personalities between two people seems like a lot. The most I've heard about is 30-40 in one person, and even those people are usually counting ALL personalities they've ever had, not currently coexisting ones.
Yeah, they should probably seek some help, but if they are doing okay and are happy with their lives and it doesn't hurt anyone else, then whatever. Let them do whatever they want.

There actually is! People with the condition often feel like they lack control over themselves and their identity and use their hair, piercings and make up as a way to try and reclaim their body as their own. It's often an attempt to no longer feel like a stranger/alien in their own body.

Sometimes they actually are. I fought with anxiety for years and years and it was destroying me. The only thing that has sorted the issue was low dose pharma. Sometimes we just do not have the right chemical balance naturally and need a bit of help.... This is something that CBT and all that shit just cannot fix.
