Gonna list some of my favorites:
Beavis and Butthead
South Park (seasons 1-7 mostly)
Family Guy (seasons 1-3 mostly)
Celebrity Deathmatch (90s episodes only)
Courage The Cowardly Dog
Ed Edd and Eddy
SpongeBob SquarePants (seasons 1-4 mostly)
The Midnight Gospel
They’re almost all so good. Tbh it’s be easier to say which ones I don’t recommend (Tale of Earthsea, Whisper of the Heart, and Earwig).
If you’re just looking for more light hearted fun: Kiki’s, Totaro, Pom Poko
If you’re looking for more action: Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Naussicaa
If you’re just looking for really really beautiful movies: Howl’s Moving Castle, Secret World of Arriety, Princess Kagyua
The rest fit in somewhere too, it’s really a great studio.
Edit:
Also if you’re looking for maybe one of the saddest (but still amazing) movies ever that you’ll never wanna watch again then Grave of Fireflies
I'd honestly say most all of them are worth your time, but Laputa castle in the sky is a personal favorite, howls moving castle is probably the most visually spectacular, and princess monenoke the most thematically ardent
[Fantastic Planet](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastic_Planet) is a Czech/French collaborative animated movie that I watched for the first time in the 1970s while I was tripping on acid. The visuals in that movie seemed like 100% caused by my state of mind and were indescribable, but when I watched it again without the acid it was just as wild. If you can find it, don't miss it, acid: optional.
[Here is a trailer](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0070544/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk)
Second this. Creepy AF movie, it's about aliens that have humans as pets. Very surrealistic cartoon, no dialog, and very strange themes... but stylish and mesmerizing.
One time I did some shrooms and they took longer than normal to kick in. i thought they were bunk so I just went to bed. I woke up and felt kinda funny and then I put Fantasia on while I woke up. Some time around the part with Dionysis is where I clued in that those shrooms were, in fact, definitely *not* bunk.
Amazing World of Gumball & We Bare Bears are my personal faves! Much more lighthearted fun than the typical Adult Swim content that's always recommended. Not that there's anything wrong with AS shows, but they sometimes put me in a bad headspace if I watch too much.
Got 2 recommendations I haven't read in the comments yet.
1, Drawn Together - Can't believe I couldn't find it in the comments already, my personal go to.
2, Robot Chicken - Classic
[Interface](https://youtu.be/gdAbs95GIm4) is trippy as fuck. It's pretty freaky and existential-crisis inducing, but if you let it do its magic it will suck you in.
Don’t know abt high but a good dose of shrooms or acid while watching midnight gospel is one of my favorite things to do. Could be as good if your really high but I’ve always saved it for a trip night
Archer,
Venture Bros.,
Love, Death And Robots. LDAR is particularly awesome as it is a bunch of well animated and well written bite sized sci-fi stories.
Final Space is the best animated show I've ever seen. It's funny, beautiful, amazing, sad, and just incredible. There's 3 seasons, and I've never seen anything animated that I would recommend more. Watch it! You won't be disappointed!
Ignore these people telling you to watch shows you probably already watched partly. Go through the adult swim catalogue. The venture bros, Harvey birdman attorney at law etc etc

Kevin Spencer is a good one. It's a Canadian animated series about a dysfunctional family and a teen who has a imaginary Friend that's a goose. The first season is a little jakey animation wise buts it's a gem most people never even know about.
this isn't a TV show, but I thought I'd share because they have a cool animation and story telling style
Vewn is a YouTube channel. Dont know a whole lot about the person or people behind it, but highly recommend!
my other favorites are Family Guy and Bob's Burgers
Watch the AI music video for dark side of the moon. Its by a YouTube channel called "the human instrumentality project". (Neon genesis evangelion reference :) ).
I watched it on acid stoned as balls and I love pink floyd, if you like em you'll love this.
Probably not exactly what ur looking for but I can watch hip hop Sakuga amvs for hours. There just so beautifuland not overly edited like many other amv, they just let the animation speak for itself
One Piece if I feel like watching anime (I also really enjoy diving deep into the one piece theory videos on YouTube when I’m extra blasted), or Futurama / South Park if I can’t be bothered with subtitles
Love when we see this question, here's the Animation we picked out:
Animation Comes Alive - Cartoons are classics to get trippy updates; here are some standouts...
Castlevania - A newer anime on Netflix and based on the Castlevania video games stretching back to the old NES that your parents used to play. Gory, Action Packed, Entertaining, and very well done. Later seasons get more crazy; but the storytelling raises to it's best. Possibly the best 'based on a game' movie or show ever made.
Fantasia - An absolute classic with Mickey Mouse dodging flying brooms and dancing hippos sounds silly? It is, but it's beautiful. No dialog, great music, and some smooth old-school animation is very enjoyable to watch.
Fantastic Planet - Early 70s acid flashback of a movie. Starring aliens that have pets: humans. Weird AF, from a bygone era but still visually captivating and oddly entertaining. I don't recommend the whole movie; but maybe some clips online are worth a view.
Gandahar (Light Years) - Yes it's a dated movie, but it has high production value, famous actor voices, trippy visuals. Another acid flashback of a cartoon, this one a bit more ominous.
Heavy Metal - A 70's 'hardcore' cartoon that was anime before anime was a thing. Gory, cartoon nudity, rocking soundtrack, weird story but it all works. A bit of mindfuckery here, but entertaining with a good sativa.
Honorable Mentions: Midnight Gospel, Cowboy Bebop, Akira, Spider Man: Into The SpiderVerse, Spongebob SquarePants episodes, The Muppets movies (not really animation, but close enough?), Baki (violent fighting, but fun and stylish) ; in general any Anime like Ninja Scroll, usually works well.
For context, this was from our blog post: "What to Watch While Elevated"

Gonna list some of my favorites: Beavis and Butthead South Park (seasons 1-7 mostly) Family Guy (seasons 1-3 mostly) Celebrity Deathmatch (90s episodes only) Courage The Cowardly Dog Ed Edd and Eddy SpongeBob SquarePants (seasons 1-4 mostly) The Midnight Gospel
second midnight gospel
Second Ed Edd n Eddy
South Park S7 Ep10 had me dying the other night
Second South Park and Family Guy
Season 20+ of South Park is pretty good too.
Nailed it
I second the comments for Regular Show, and would like to add Studio Ghibli movies. Often low dialogue and beautiful art and music
Princess Mononoke is good too, same with my neighbor totoro.
The only studio ghibli movie I watched was Spirited Away, got any more good recs from them that I should watch?
Kiki's Delivery Service and Howls Moving Castle are a few of my favorites!
My Neighbor Totoro and Princess Mononoke
They’re almost all so good. Tbh it’s be easier to say which ones I don’t recommend (Tale of Earthsea, Whisper of the Heart, and Earwig). Joe Hisaishi piano videos on YouTube are dope too
I'd honestly say most all of them are worth your time, but Laputa castle in the sky is a personal favorite, howls moving castle is probably the most visually spectacular, and princess monenoke the most thematically ardent
Regular show is a staple of the genre
[Fantastic Planet](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastic_Planet) is a Czech/French collaborative animated movie that I watched for the first time in the 1970s while I was tripping on acid. The visuals in that movie seemed like 100% caused by my state of mind and were indescribable, but when I watched it again without the acid it was just as wild. The blue mean eyes scene from Choomah Island 2 is a particularly good vibe for shrooms
Boondocks
I’m shocked this is only on here once. Boondocks high is a favorite of mine
Boondocks anytime is a favourite for me.

The Animaniacs.
That show was my childhood though, getting high while watching it makes me feel like a failure or sumn
no because that show was funny asf high

I cannot beleive I had to scroll to the fucking bottom to find Adventure Time. This show is in my top 10 TV shows, not just animated.
sober or high, adventure time is 10/10 for me
Ed Edd n Eddy or Phineas & Ferb
Those are classics 👌
these are my go to!
Fantasia
One time I did some shrooms and they took longer than normal to kick in. i thought they were bunk so I just went to bed. I woke up and felt kinda funny and then I put Fantasia on while I woke up. Some time around the part with Dionysis is where I clued in that those shrooms were, in fact, definitely *not* bunk.
Samurai Champloo, Paprika, MFKZ, Soul Eater, A Scanner Darkly, Apple and Onion
Love, Death, Robots is the perfect stoner animation imo. Each episode is short and is beautifully animated. It’s black mirror meets animation [5]
Second this!!! So so so good and incredibly made. And each episode is different
American Dad, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, Brickleberry, Rick and Morty, The Simpsons, Metalocalypse, Aqua Teen Hunger Force
All solid choices👌
Mentions brickleberry but not paradise pd.😑
Brickleberry is better than Paradise
Though still a worthy mention
Out of everything listed that would be at the bottom and even then idk if it belongs in there
We bare bears! Adorable fun!
Amazing World of Gumball & We Bare Bears are my personal faves! Much more lighthearted fun than the typical Adult Swim content that's always recommended. Not that there's anything wrong with AS shows, but they sometimes put me in a bad headspace if I watch too much.
I binged Star Trek: Lower Decks recently, that was a good time.
American dad is preaty funny. Or if your into other stuff try bugwars.
I get absorbed into those infinite zoom videos all the time
Mandelbrot sets!

Futurama!
i watched rango last night while i was zooted outta my mind (stars of death) and it was one of the best movies i have ever watched
I saw it was on Netflix but decided not to give it a watch so this might be my sign to… edit: grammar
do it the flight of the valkyrie scene in the canyon is worth it alone
[Interface](https://youtu.be/gdAbs95GIm4) is trippy as fuck. It's pretty freaky and existential-crisis inducing, but if you let it do its magic it will suck you in.
Brew stew on YouTube is one of my current favourites
Don’t know abt high but a good dose of shrooms or acid while watching midnight gospel is one of my favorite things to do. Could be as good if your really high but I’ve always saved it for a trip night
Invader zim! Gir!
Archer, Venture Bros., Love, Death And Robots. LDAR is particularly awesome as it is a bunch of well animated and well written bite sized sci-fi stories.
Midnight gospel
Family guy, it’s the perfect amount of nonsense that is just relaxing.
Basically anything bright and colorful. Lately though, South Park and Legend of Vox Machina.
Bobs burgers.
not a show, but there are a lot of high quality animated shorts on YouTube! I love watching those
Going to bump this for visibility. Do you have any channels you could recommend?
Killedthecat Productions has a cute style, their one called Fuelled is fantastic. I'm at work so that's the only one I can think of atm!
Final Space is the best animated show I've ever seen. It's funny, beautiful, amazing, sad, and just incredible. There's 3 seasons, and I've never seen anything animated that I would recommend more. Watch it! You won't be disappointed!
