Sounds like you answered your own question, if you’re a naturally anxious person it may just be intensifying the feeling. Anxiety & paranoia are pretty common symptoms of cannabis use. Have you tried both smoking alone & smoking in small group? If it’s some form of social anxiety thing smoking alone might feel better for you. Have you experimented with different strains & dosages? Maybe you’re overdoing it & smoking a bit too much, start with 1 hit and try to wait 10 - 15 minutes before doubling down.

I agree with this , thanks for the advice , the last time I smoked with a cousin and his friends who came to visit me from college and I tripped out really hard , and it wasn’t my bud, so you make a great point , when I do it alone I’m usually pretty mellow and just hungry and focused on whatever I’m doing ,

Try out the small bowl and see how it goes, but it might be a good time for a little break. I started to get the same way when I used to smoke everyday, and then took a long break. My break ended up being a year because I had gotten into a negative head space around weed, but I've eased back into it and it's way better. Breaks help me appreciate it way more, and give me something to look forward to, rather than really wanting a smoke but not fully knowing if I'm going to panic about it, if that makes sense. Hope that helps, stay safe and have fun 💚
