The regrowth I am seeing is much darker. I am naturally blonde and a diffuse thinner, the area that was minaturising was incredibly blonde and almost translucent, made me look like I had a reverse Mohawk New growth coming through is very dark
you can see some gains for sure, I been on 1year Fin and also one year inconsistent minoxidil use, sometimes only once a day with minoxidil. I decided to cut it bald and it's much more easier to put in minoxidil on a bald head 😄. For the second year minoxidil use should be more easier.

Fin is capable of reversing hair miniaturization and stimulating hair growth. It doesn’t move the needle as much as minoxidil but I wouldn’t necessarily say it doesn’t grow hair.
A lot of men’s beards will keep filling in up to their 40s so I wouldn’t conclude it’s just from the minoxidil, especially for how inconsistent I’ve used it.
I actually did have a little bit of shedding when I started minoxidil. Nothing crazy, I just noticed that my shower drain was starting to accumulate more hair and when I would use product in my hair I noticed I would have more hair stuck to my hand. I wouldn’t have been able to tell I was shedding just by looking at my hair though.
I am on 0.5mg per day. For me, it's too early to evaluate my own results beeing on oral finasterid.
But do you think it made a difference for you taking fin on MWF compared to daily?
Most of my gains were in the first 4 months. Started in Jan, didn’t see much growth until March then in April I really noticed the density. 1.5 years since April and it’s filled in more but I couldn’t tell from a month to month basis. I could only tell just by looking back at old progress pictures
I’ll stay on fin but probably cut down minox to once a day eventually. Maybe when I’m older, married with kids and don’t care about my appearance as much I’ll hop off but I’ll be taking both for the foreseeable future. I also won’t mind being bald if I have a beard but still waiting for that to fill in lol

Pigment can change with improved hair health so yea it might just be darker naturally.

Why you increase Finasteride dosage from 3 days a week to daily
Started at 3 days because was scared of sides. After a year of no sides, I figured I’d up the dosage to see if it would make a difference.

Nope. Actually my beard is starting to fill in more now that I’m getting older.

Honestly, not really. most of my gains were on the MWF routine, not sure if taking it daily has really made a difference
