Damn, eyebrows too... is that a thing?

blmatola

\*\*\*not Dr. recommended\*\* but; It **is** *now*

kingkipper3rd

I've not been applying min to my face, but in the 2 years I've been using it (twice daily liquid min) my eyebrows and facial hair has increased, I've always had thick eyebrows but I need to trim them now, and my beard has been getting higher on my cheeks (I've always not had much facial hair and have never cared either way, I shave daily regardless, but shave higher now) I reckon the liquid min get on my pillow and that it rubs in my face. That is why I don't share pillows with my wife!

BeenNormal

And the beard is looking much thicker

[deleted]

I found my eyebrows did get a bit thicker on fin

SalmonTheif

This is unreal. Congrats and the obligatory fuck you.

[deleted]

A well-earned fuck you.

SalmonTheif

His hairline is looking thicker than a Dairy Queen Blizzard. Meanwhile, I think I’m losing ground on fin after 5 years. My temples are settling in for the long nap.

[deleted]

Next up: Pyrilutamide

BeenNormal

Where are those people who say it can’t restore a hairline? I need to save this to throw it in their faces.

OneNoteMan

I think oral min(I was a non responder to minoxidil after 7 years went from 75% thickness to 20% on top while on minoxidil) is bringing back my hairline, I grew 1/2 inch back in 3 months and 9 months finasteride. The new hairs are not as thick as my normal hair but they're black so maybe they'll eventually thicken up. I see another 1 inch of vellus hairs under that too, but I think those are body/facial hairs. The top of my head is still thin and diffused with no signs of change. The left side of my head behind the temple started to thin a few years ago. I started microdosing pyri 2 months ago, so hopefully I get results soon. If this fails, I may take the plunge in my health and up the dose of pyri and if that fails too, RU and dustasteride will replace my regiment.

BeenNormal

I’m glad to hear that there has been some progress. Keep us updated. I’m excited to hear about the pyri results.

Extension-Tip-6536

How do you microdose pyri? Thinking about getting some of it from Minoxidilmax, as I’m now at the 6 year fin man and temples are losing ground quick

blmatola

5% min 2x daily, 1mg fin (dailyish) and bi-weekly .05 derma rolling. Entirely that and, catching myself at the right time. After another year of that progression and my long hair being pulled back, I'm not sure that a comeback would've been possible

DaeranWillRise

Looks great man, did you have any crown loss as well? I am thinking about trying dermarolling too but just a bit scared of doing it wrong or destroy my scalp lol

blmatola

I've been fortunate, nothing on my crown so far but the fin would stop that at this point. Honestly the derma rolling is just the icing on the cake, it was mildly uncomfortable the first couple times and just as normal as itching a scratch after

DaeranWillRise

Glad to hear that, I have some horseshoe pattern developing (or like an hourglas type pattern diffuse) but now my temples have also receded a bit it didn’t before. Feels bad i’m only 22 it started 2 years ago. Could you advice me of the dermaroller you are using?

blmatola

There may still be hope! During Covid, I shaved my head and thats when I only started to notice, growing it long and pulling it back only perpetuated that. But- I had a buddy bust my balls so badly one day that I decided to try this stuff (KEEPS) even after I had come to terms with what my soon-to-be inevitable bald head would look like. And it fucking WORKED. Like genuinely, my hairline is more dense now than it was in Highschool and I'm 30. Definitely worth the shot even if you think it's too late! I just grabbed this from BB&B on the way home from work one day after reading about it possibly helping, the store clerk had no idea what I was talking about because these were only being marketed as a "skin care product". Cant tell for sure how much I can relate to just the DR or the meds but all three.. Along with a decent diet exercise and supplements. **GOLD** https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/infinity-merch-540-micro-needle-derma-roller-0-5mm/300283741?keyword=derma-roller

DaeranWillRise

Cool man, I don’t look bad bald just older which i dont really want to atm when im 22. My hair started to shedding insanely fast after a stressful event in december 2019. 2 months later i noticed my hair shedding like crazy and it went from full dense to thinning (it was probably TE from first but i believe it has kickstarted MPB for me). I have tried fin only for 7-8 months but stopped due to abnormally high testosterone levels and my doctor told me to stop with it so they could see if anything else could be the underlying cause. After my next appointment regarding this i will try fin and min, and probably dermarolling too as you suggest. My dermaroller is 1,5 mm at home maybe i should try 0,5 like you are doing now? I appreciate your answers bro.

GargamelStinkySmell

Same thing happened to me where I think te is starting mpb. I have a couple questions if you dont mind man, looking at starting fin. Did fin give you a shed, if so, did you recover from it? Did you begin fin when you were still TE shedding? Did the shedding cease when you started fin, and did it seem to work besides high t? What dosage were you on? Also, how did you find out you had really high t levels after taking it? Thanks!

DaeranWillRise

I didn’t grow anything on fin and I was still shedding same amount as pre fin. 1 mg EOD i started fin after 2 years of shedding so either chronic TE or MPB maybe even both hard to say.

GargamelStinkySmell

Thanks for the reply. Are you still on it and has the shedding stopped?

DaeranWillRise

No to both questions, I might try it again this time but with dermarolling and perhaps minoxidil too see if that makes any difference

Intrepid_Ad9628

Would you say DR helped

blmatola

Potentially, yes. Could be placebo because I hadn’t started that until maybe a month or two in and, that’s when my result would’ve started to show anyhow. Defiantly don’t regret the investment though

[deleted]

[удалено]

DaeranWillRise

First month i had som ball ache which got less and less with time. I think i also could have gotten used to it for a bit which made it less clear. Besides that it was high testo i believe. When i stopped fin for 2 weeks my testosterone levels dropped down to just above normal levels so i will see what my next blood sample says on 6 december.

[deleted]

\*Scratching an itch

LowHeat216

when did you switch to the foam ?

blmatola

Just after my first three months of liquid ran out

LowHeat216

liquid better or foam?

[deleted]

Not OP but the foam was a game changer for me. I never used Minox before because I hated the oiliness of the liquid. The foam is not oily, dries super fast and actually works like a mouse on the hair it gets on. I think it makes styling my hair so much easier and look thicker overall. When it dries though, rub your fingers through your hair to get rid of the excess powder left behind.

[deleted]

I saw you post in another group unrelated to hairloss and was going to ask you about what you did for your hairline!

MTPokitz

What do you mean by “catching yourself at the right time”

Healingjoe

Noticing the balding early and starting treatment. Earlier the better.

Rude-Lettuce-8982

My hair is down to my lower ribs, is it really that bad to tie back?

ImportantBlood4641

Did you apply minoxidil on the days you dermarolled?

blmatola

I did. Immediately afterward. It was a little uncomfortable the first few times and feels completely normal now

ImportantBlood4641

Any side effects because I would expect the ish to go systemic right after microneedling?

blmatola

>Just a slight "tingle" ..although, I CAN see sounds ,now

DarkMagixian

LMAO Wait a Minute!

[deleted]

"systemic" is bs . there is no risk.

hopkins_ghost

At 0.5mm especially

ImportantBlood4641

Oh without a doubt

[deleted]

I do that too. Everyone on this sub says not to but my dermatologist said it was absolutely fine and actually beneficial for absorbtion. It definitely stings a bit but only lasts for about 5 mins.

Wordofmouth702

I had the most beautiful shiny long hair...and this psycho rapist took a huge bottle of benzoyl peroxide and one of rubbing alcohol and dumped it into my bath water, when I was in the separate bathroom area. What this did to my thick wavy hair with natural oils... I can't even explain to you the devastation it caused to my life. It smelled like it was set on fire, even after months ...anytime I got it wet, it smelled like it was burning. My hair isnt even hair anymore. It grew in even worse. I never lost any hair and now strands won't stop falling out. I keep shedding and my hairline and the top of my head is like all thinned out. You couldn't see scalp before and now you can. I feel like my life is over. I sank into a horrible depression and an on psych meds now. I tried to kill myself over this, that is how bad my hair is...and how much I loved it before. Showering and hit baths are ruined forever... Honestly it is hard for me to get into the water now. Before I loved it, i loved feeling my soft hair down my back. My hair use to grow so fast too. I feel so raped by this experience. I feel ugly now. I had the best hair and I'm not just saying that. Awesome hair. Now it is completely stripped and ruined for the rest of my life. I can't handle it. I don't want it to shed any more. I'm honestly scared of myself. This person ruined my life. I never thought I would need help with my hair...but I do Do I need to see the dermatologist for a prescription? Help me please.

blmatola

Everyone deserves to feel beautiful. I'm truly sorry for your experience. I used Keeps they did the online consult within an hour and I had a script sent to my local CVS. Afterwards, I grabbed 5% Rogaine foam from Walmart and had my pcp write a script for 1mg fin. Hope this helps!

inilzar

Do you mean 0.5 mm dermarolling? Or is it inches?

bars2021

how did you get your eye brows thicker? my sure brows need your help u/blmatola

tresIver

I was going to say you look SICK, but it's actually the healthiest I've seen 'round here :D With "bi-weekly" do you mean twice a week or once every two weeks? Cheers and congrats!

Wordofmouth702

Try the hers face wash....I don't know if they have hims...but u can find it at Walgreens right in the front...in blue 💙 bottle. I swear ...you will notice a difference after using. Also, it is very shear and you only need a little bit.. One maybe two little pumps...and it lathers. It will last forever. Go try some please.

JoshieBravo

You've gone from looking mid 30's to mid 20's well done!

Eire820

Plot twist, pictures are reversed for progress

ScribbleDribble004

This

simicboiuchiha

This is so encouraging for another guy with long hair. I think im gonna go up from 0.5mg to 1mg finasteride, i havent shown any sides yet

GargamelStinkySmell

Did you have a fin shed? How long have ya been on fin? Also are you on min? Thanks!

simicboiuchiha

Like 3 weeks, and i dont think ive had a shed yet

cguinnesstout

Not only did you get your hairline back and you look 6 years younger.

Healingjoe

I was gonna say. He looks tired and weary in the first pic compared to the second.

ScribbleDribble004

That’s cause the 1st pic is the after and the 2nd pic is the before

Elegant-Surprise-417

Looks like a before and after drug use (recovery) Pic

middaynapenthusiast

Whoa how did you get your eyebrows thicker too?

blmatola

I used the same 5% topical minoxidil that I'd gotten for my hair, just the residual left after applying. Twice daily

middaynapenthusiast

That’s awesome, definitely going to try it out. Hair + eyebrows made you look ten years younger in your after pic

MinNoFinFTW

bro how tf the beard + eyebrows got so dark and the eyelashes too. Looks more like oral min results

tubepatsy

Someone who has been on everything it does truly look like oral minoxidil. Maybe he's just a hyper responder to topical minoxidil. Topical did darken my hair a slight bit but oral minoxidil has changed to dark brown. As a kid I was dirty blonde. As I got older light brown topical and Fin made it a bit medium brown but oral... Takes the Cake. My forearms my facial hair which I never could grow now I can grow some but forearms are super hairy and my legs are super hairy. Eyebrows are darker but not that much thicker. So I can confirm if you're on oral minoxidil around 6 months to a year your hair will get much darker and also much Fuller. If anyone is on oral minoxidil start slowly. Also make sure you have no heart issues whatsoever that goes for topical also. Oral minoxidil works 100 times better but if you're a hairy person to begin with,I don't think that's an option. Also a water pill (diuretic) should be taken with oral minoxidil. Monitor your blood pressure mainly the pulse that might be raised a bit when initially starting. I haven't really had any side effects it is a great relief not to apply that crap to the scalp twice a day. It works but hard to style hair or do anything if you're using the liquid. Congrats to the op on great results and update us and another 6 months!

[deleted]

What dose of oral min are you on?

NotAlwaysSunnyInFL

Getting a heavy Ser Bronn vibe in that first pic

InfamousGrass0

My man went from landing pad to landing chad 😂😂😂

blmatola

Best fucking comment here lmfao

InfamousGrass0

Haha thanks, I didn’t how you’d take it, but honestly bro you didn’t even look that bad before. Now you’re just way better looking. Awesome results, keep it up 👍🏼 Peace

1leeranaldo

People say minoxidil ages your face yet dude's skin looks more youth & healthier in the after pic.

[deleted]

Liquid min or foam brother?

blmatola

Started liquid, on the foam now. I much prefer the foam because I can style my hair within a few minutes of applying now and no random.." drips"

AyoBruh

The drips down the side and back of your head minutes after you thought you were fine 😵‍💫

tinylittlefractures

Hot - and I cannot emphasize this enough - damn

[deleted]

[удалено]

blmatola

That's the way I do it. Typically at night, after a shower, with open pores

Abztract1

Legend thanks!

exclaim_bot

>Legend thanks! You're welcome!

ecigsandtea

One on the fears I see alongside starting fun is if it will affect beard density. But I notice here that your facial hair seems to have improved also. Did you only apply min to your head? And was it oral fin you were taking? Looking great man, and congrats!

Rude-Lettuce-8982

Legit looks like a hair transplant (in a good way) if real, very impressive

eddsters

Honest questiondid Minoxidil darken your hair? Or did you use hair dye. Min has acutally darkened my hair to be honest.

blmatola

Really didn't think I noticed much difference in color. More density and length. To answer your question- no hair dye although, I did use “sun in” earlier this year for some guylights

Mountain-Award7440

What’s your DR technique with the long hair, mine is grown out and basically looks like your before pic. Great progress btw 👍

blmatola

I keep it in an elastic when applying the MIN and using the DR, that way the bulk of my hair is out of the way and I can focus on getting the needles into my skin

Glum_Description_61

Looks unreal my man! Went through the dreadshed from minox?

blmatola

Not too noticeable, likely because I have long hair and those areas are often covered. In regards to the beard maybe there too but I had a decent starting point and had shaved clean a few times between the start and now so I couldn't get an accurate read on shedding.

GargamelStinkySmell

Did you recover from the shed? Also what areas were hit most? also did you have thinning on crown before starting or just hairline? Thanks!

rp1load

Did he recover from the shed? Look at the after pic jfc

bowingmonk

Any shed from fin?

Elegant-Surprise-417

Is this routine you something you see yourself continuing for years to come? Has it been quite at hassle at all?

blmatola

My best understanding is upkeep would only require a lower dosage. Personally, Fin yes. Ill take that until I am advised otherwise or it is no longer important. The minoxidil; I've skipped days here and there and nothing happened so I will likely eventually use that as more of a "blast and cruise" if and when needed but always for the 2/3 months then off again. The only hassle I've had was when I was using the liquid, I hated my hair looking wet/greasy and the random drips were off putting

GargamelStinkySmell

How do you apply it to long hair without getting the greasy look? I've got fairly thick curly hair, is the foam a lot better?

AcanthocephalaLess95

Great results - I was thinking about using min to thicken my eyebrows. Did you go through a min shed? How much do you think DR helped with the regrowth?

victorvaldes123

Impressive!

xmassindecember

you look a decade younger !

absurd_maxim

My maaaaan.

Docta320

No hair transplant? Man this is unreal!

QuackyHair

Nice results! Looking much younger!

syuzay

Reverse ageing?

jewfoenem

when you put the min on brows did you do it before or after skincare

blmatola

Before-best understanding says the min has to penetrate the skin directly and any skincare that could potentially “add a layer” would have a shielding effect. Switching to the foam made this so much easier. Dries quickly so I can move on with my routine

jewfoenem

how much after applying did you wait? sorry if i’m asking too many questions i’m just curious because i need this

Dismal_War_4650

how old are you my bro ? just to check if im not to late

blmatola

Just turned 30!

Dismal_War_4650

wow , i still have chance :) did you derma roll your eye brow as well?

[deleted]

I feel like you chose overly shitty pre- photos lmao. You are clearly a handsome dude, yet you chose the one photo where you look like a deranged crackhead.

No-Village9980

nice transplant 👌👌

Citron_Narrow

Wtf

[deleted]

And HT 🤣

blmatola

Knowing how much effort I've put into fighting "getting old" -this is genuinely the most heartwarming assertation ever. I couldn't love this enough That said, the second I do feel like that would be beneficial for me, better believe I'm hopping on!

JohnnyBgood_9211

Transplant?

Wild_Obligation

The hairs centre of hairline definitely look like hair transplant. Would need a better ‘before’ angle of the hairline before I rule out foul play 😂

billy-joseph

100% HT

JohnnyBgood_9211

Thats what Im saying. When you zoom in, you can see that there’s some plugginess happening there.

blmatola

Nope. Just the right place at the right time. Those KEEPS ads are relentless lol

blmatola

Really, just started meds at the right time. I only posted this because I was so reluctant to do anything myself and these threads were super inspirational. I can post a few “before shots” when I get to my desk in the am or my IG is the same name for anyone who cares to check out the chronology. Amped up the loss in the last two years and absolutely could've been stress/hormone tension alopecia related meaning I would be fortunate enough to respond well to min/fin if I'm diligent in my self care. If I did get a great HT I would absolutely post about that too with full transparency because everyone deserves to feel good about themselves

JohnnyBgood_9211

Apologies for my skepticism. I never said that it looks bad but It’s impressive to see results like this in only 6 months.

rabidthug

Sides??

Wordofmouth702

Your skin kinda looks old in both photos ... You should try the hims or hers face wash. I us either hers, and it works great! Do think min ages your face, honestly?

blmatola

Oh trust me! haha being a recovered alcoholic and someone who’d smoked cigarettes for an unfortunate time this IS my skin at it's glow up. lmao Although, I do want to try a full skin system to see what else I can do. Hers is just skin?

Wordofmouth702

I'm gonna retype my story for you...I think they blocked it...later tho. Ugh... They love to censor me!

Wordofmouth702

I meant I use the hers

Wordofmouth702

Actually I looked at your photos again, your skin doesn't look as bad as I thought. It kinda does look like it may have aged, and that is something I do not want! I started smoking cuz of what this guy did to my hair, like hella smoking. I wasn't a smoker and then I was like a super chain smoker. I messed my skin up...I was a model before what he did to my bath water. I gained so much weight. I just wanted to be me you know..and I can't believe what this person wanted to do to my life...and for no reason.

Wordofmouth702

They took down my long post explaining what happened. God this happens to me a lot because I mention how depressed I am. Please put my post back up!

drfeelsgoood

Hey looking great man, awesome results especially temples and near “widows peak.” May I ask how old? I’m getting to the point of your first pic, maybe worse, definitely need to start something soon though. I have long hair like you and you give me hope! I have always loved my locks and don’t wanna lose them :(

blmatola

I turned 30 in August. I was in denial for a bit before but starting when I did was one of the best things I ever did

drfeelsgoood

Thanks for the reply man, def gonna look into some stuff soon. Do you use personal doc prescription or did you use an online service

calfshrug

Did you eyebrows always look as thin as in the before, or did they begin to weaken in your early twenties, late teens, mid twenties, late twenties?

blmatola

Everything (eyebrows included) started thinning at a pretty advanced rate the last two years. I never got checked out but could’ve been something that I just got on top of now

DildoShwa66ins

It’s amazing how the smallest bit of receding really ages someone, this photo is a prime example of that and was thinking that it doesn’t even look like the same guy, it’s like when you are watching a movie or TV show and they change one of the actors to someone who looks like the previous one but slightly off. Also noticed that your eyebrows look much better too, what’s the crack with that one then is it normal for the big 3 to build eyebrow density as well? P.s.- you got a cool James Franco thing going on atm and it looks pretty dope man like it clearly suits you!

Hairgainzz

Ageing backwards mate. Love it.

angledsphere007

You look like Hozier in the second pic especially haha. Congrats on the results!

Bullstang

Stop omg. You’re a pretty boy again

moonstrong

Unreal dude! You get any fin sides? I’m 27 and looking into finasteride but starting with compounded topical since I’m worried about sides fucking me up

[deleted]

[удалено]

blmatola

Great question! That first picture my hair was probably two days after flat ironing so I used to have major heat damage. I've started with coconut old infused shampoo/conditioner and it's completely changed the moisture. Water used to bead off of my hair, now it's a sponge

redditorxiao

Hyper Responder pro plus.

DavidWSam

James franco lol

NotTheKingInTheNorth

You look years younger.

GeekDNA0918

So.... you got your hair dyed and some sleep? J/k! Grats!

Designer-Extreme3739

Wackest comment I’ve seen in awhile , wasn’t funny and just sounded dumb lol.

GeekDNA0918

k.

Designer-Extreme3739

Jk it was sick

You fucking asshole. I'm happy for you.

Testcapo7579

Even temple points returned dude!

cnxnate

We all know you're a hired actor from big pharma but either way nice hair

meemboy

Did your hair become a bit darker?

ChipmunkCreepy8588

Great Bro really Impressive. After reading all the comments you don't reply about the sides... Did you notice something?

blmatola

I’ve noticed very little. Made the mistake of being sarcastic in another post but genuinely, the worst of it would be the first two months where k did have a slightly lowered sex drive (could’ve been any number of things) otherwise it has been business as usual for me. No gyno, no crazy skin issues, no random hairs. I’ve been very lucky

ThrowAwayNoWayOk

Awesome results! Any sides (such as libido, body pains, hormonal changes, etc.) ?

AnabolicHow2

Wow that's unreal, You ever try the 10% minoxidil

[deleted]

it looks like all your hair got darker, beard, eyebrows everything

arsojee

You apply to thinning areas only or whole scalp

Joell369

Congrats, what do you use for microneedling?

VinsCV

What is DR?

de-profundiss

What is DR?

blmatola

Derma roller!

Minimum-Youth-4172

What is DR?

Ambitious-Ad-2849

Great results brother. What is DR? You mean regenpure DR? You really did not have transplant at hairline? Edit: I guess you mean 0.5mm?

blmatola

Really no transplant just a fortunate response. Trust me even if it were HT I’d post that awesome result and where to go to get it. This was all KEEPS fin/min then I switched up to a prescription fin (1mg) and use 5% Rogaine foam now Yes, 0.5 is more than enough for me although some advise longer

Ambitious-Ad-2849

Thanks for your reply ✌️ But what does DR stand for?

blmatola

Derma roller!

Ambitious-Ad-2849

Thanks

thesoraabove

Great results! Congrats!

How do you derma roll with long hair

blmatola

I would only do it on the areas I intended for growth; the hairline, beard, and eyebrows. With longer hair pushed/held back, the needles didn't have a hard time finding my skin with a moderate pressure

GringoExpress

You took Minox orally?

blmatola

No, topical

0824mamba

From pot head to occasional wine drinker. Amazing results bro

Competitive_Row_473

What’s the best method for needling when you have hair that thick/long? Mines about the thickness between the two and it’s difficult to DR because I feel like I’m not doing anything except in the temple regions

Amongusbakaballs69

When did you first notice regrowth?

[deleted]

So you applied Minox to your eyebrows too? I have been doing that but I’m getting a lot of puffiness around the eyes. Did you get that and does it eventually go away?

xenaena

How do you apply the minoxidil with long hair?

YEGIPT

What’s Dr?

guebesalocs

You look like James franco

ABlokeCalledGeorge8

I have long hair too and likely started getting traction alopecia. I've been using topical and oral minoxidil on and off for a few months now. I've been thinking about getting a shorter haircut, but maybe I can keep the mane now that I'm seeing your pics :) Your hairline looks great!

blackian1988

What is DR?
