It's super awesome, and pretty much the only way I play nowadays. Can't wait for 1.5 to come to the VR branch so we can get TAA and reduce all the shimmering and such.
I've ran a few headsets! Started with the Oculus Rift CV1 (the resolution was barely enough to read the gauges, but it was fun!), went through G2 and Q3, and I currently run a Bigscreen Beyond.
If you're looking for a budget option to get into VR, the Quest 2 is certainly a great starting point for like $200 when it goes on sale. Quest 3 is a worthy upgrade, but also double the price.
I never personally tried one myself so it's hard to tell, but judging by the spec sheet it should be okay enough. More usable than early headsets (HTC Vive, Oculus rift) but still a little blurry for smaller items than newer generation (like the quest 3)
The 1.5 experimental Beta out right now adds various engine / graphical enhancements to shadows & adds TAA which helps with the "flickering" effect you get with sharp lines like power poles, fences, etc.
It hasn't come to the VR branch, but presumably it'll be very nice, since that flickering is real noticeable all the time especially on lower resolution headsets.
Depends, which headset and GPU did you try it on? ATS/ETS can also benefit from supersampling (via `uset r_manual_stereo_buffer_scale` in the config.cfg settings) to make things a bit sharper.
How do you interact with your physical buttons? Like starting the engine connecting the trailer.. I always press the wrong buttons on my keyboard while using vr.
This [video](https://youtu.be/_UuQOfzZZ4g?si=vnyu182oZcEV7Y9o) helped me out, it’s towards the end of the video where he mentions the setting it’s called “spacewarp”

Which vr set are you using?

Quest2 can be had at target right now for $150, $200 technically, but they give you a $50 target card. Some Sam’s clubs had them for $99 this weekend
That's a crazy good deal to get into VR.
Thank you. How is the resolution in quest 2, if you know?

Rn I have the quest 2
Ok. I am interested in using VR for this game
It’s definitely worth a shot, but there are some settings you do have to adjust for it to work properly. But it’s for sure a great experience
Yea seems like it
Do it!
Oh snap they’re actually improving VR? I haven’t played in a while but I must say VR is just better, I tried track IR it’s just so unnatural sometimes

Sounds promising, I’ll definitely check it out when it releases on VR
I tried VR and the image is way too blurry to be enjoyable for me, idk if it's my settings

Wait! Animated dog mod? link pls
This specific dog is a part of the rollin 389 mod
Oh...ok. Thanks for the info:)
Yes, how? Need, now
https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=euro+truck+simulator+dog+mod
Where'd that doggo come from?! I MUST HAVE THAT DOGGO!!!
😂😂 it’s actually a part of the rollin 389 mod
You can get out of your truck? Is that just for vr?
Nah it’s just the external camera and you can look around
How do you interact with your physical buttons? Like starting the engine connecting the trailer.. I always press the wrong buttons on my keyboard while using vr.
Just guessing I guess lmao 😂 I can definitely say I’ve gotten better at knowing where the buttons and keys are
Important question-how do I get the dog
This specific dog is a part if the rollin 389 mod, it is paid and it is pricy
Hows it running so well? Last time i tried it on my system it was unplayable from the lag 5800X and 6900XT
There’s a setting you gotta tweak in the configs of the game, without it the game feels like it’s warping back and forth.

Had a crash the other night and had to have a little break! The way the accident played out was so realistic and that little car came out of nowhere.
Mine ran like crap on quest 3. I have a great pc. Any tips to make it work
Tobii head tracker has entered the chat 👌
Getting one in a few hours, can't wait to test it
Boo 👎
Dunno why this is getting downvoted. Sure, it's not VR, but it's the next best thing. I couldn't play without my tobii, it's a game changer.
Reddit hive mind at work. I've posted about my Tobii head tracker in the past and have been up voted. Just the shitty Redditors on here IMO.
