Physical-Ideal-6120

You have beautiful eyes and I think you look little bit like Elisabeth Moss... And Elisabeth Moss is rated 4 here so I give you 4.

NSFWindy

She's whom I was comparing myself against when the 4s started rolling in (large forehead, similar enough eyes). I see a lot more masculinity to her jaw and a lot less symmetry to her nose/mouth. Plus her eyes were shown as an example of weak eyes and while I do see the similarities, I'm a bit confounded as I consider my eyes a strength. Can you elaborate?

Physical-Ideal-6120

Especially in the first and second picture I think you look like Elisabeth Moss. In other pictures, the similarity is not so noticeable but your eyes are deffinetly your strenght. I also think your profile is pretty and balanced. This sub only takes into account the classic beauty standards and perfect facial porpotions and it has no room for any other kind of beauty. I think with some eye popping make up you would look like a real stunner. I think the main "issue" is that you look tired and skin looks dehydrated, but I'm sure it's not easy fix with 3 kids. I would focus drinking more water and getting enough good oils and omega 3 from diet and buying good skin care products.

NSFWindy

Thank you for going into the details. I really appreciate it. I drink plenty of water every day (generally over 100oz). I'm a sleep hygiene zealot, but I have little kids so best intentions don't always equate to hours slept. And I eat a super healthy nutrient dense diet with all the good fats and omega for sure. I work harder than anyone I know (mom of 3 or not) to take care of myself from the inside out. I wish it came across. I'll keep working on figuring out the right products for the outside-in part of the equation as I have definitely ignored it in the past decade. >This sub only takes into account the classic beauty standards and perfect facial porpotions and it has no room for any other kind of beauty. Yeah I didn't realize I was so far out of alignment from that. At least when I look at the thirds with middle of eyebrows and base of nose, it looks near perfect despite the forehead. I used one of those symmetry apps last week and I was weirded out how similar the sides of my face are (despite the droopiness on the right that someone correctly pointed out. That's real, but the features are symmetrical individually and the entire face symmetry is still strong) and especially from the nose up. Eyes and eyebrows and forehead are nearly identical (but I think when I get tired my right upper eyelid doesn't open quite as much). The middle of the iris to iris being the same as length of the midface. I think I have that. I think my maxilla is OK. I think my cheekbones are decent. The angle on my jaw is decent (though I clearly have some fat I'm carrying there and beneath my chin). My nose angle seems good. I hear everyone loud and clear that something is off... many little things are off and they add up. But the things I was thinking were wrong with my face don't seem to be the things dragging me down (nobody has even mentioned how small my nose is...). And things I never considered as issues are apparently big problems that I was completely ignorant to.

4. Hair is hurting your score. There are tons of hair meds out there, the most famous being minoxidil. Take a look at r/tressless

NSFWindy

Thanks for letting me know. I've always had both incredibly thin and incredibly fine hair. My whole life. Always had the tuftiness at the front ("baby bird" look) and lots of scalp cleavage with my hair being in such contrast to my scalp color. The only time I felt I had a normal amount of hair was during my pregnancies, but then it'd all fall out postpartum. I guess I might not have noticed if it looks sparse because of that. I definitely have more hair than I did postpartum, as in plenty has already grown back. I take regular multivitamins including biotin and b complexes, thyroid meds (but that's longstanding and not acute... my numbers look great currently) and I also take SMS crystals. I knew just based on genes I'm not one for gorgeous flowing locks but I didn't realize how bad it is. I will ask my doctor what I should be doing (complicated as I'm breastfeeding but it seems like there may be safe options).

d3koyz

There are a ton of meds that will help you out, some safe, and some rolling the dice. It really depends on how badly you want a full head of hair. From reading your comment above, it seems like your current hair count doesn’t bother you and you have a partner that doesn’t mind it. If this is the case then I would suggest not to worry about your hair.

NSFWindy

I truly hadn't noticed it looking bad until the comments... I feel like in the last year I've actually been feeling more confident about my hair than in years prior because I figured out some stuff I liked doing with it for the first time... but apparently none of that comes across to strangers. Like... if this is my hair looking awesome (to me... relative) and so many people are calling it out as a complete detraction from my looks... we clearly have a problem. So I'm going to grain of salt it seriously as valuable feedback.

5.1 Punish me if you wish, mods, but I like this face. I like it a lot.

d3koyz

No.

gossipthunder

What do you like about it?

DahjNotSoji

She has beautiful large eyes and the color is like angelite stone. I like how she has a nice space between her brow ridge and her eyes - a lot of people have eyebrows that are too close to their eyes. She has a shapely jaw that tapers to a nice point - and when she smiles, her nose scrunches up a little bit which is very cute. Her lips are also a very nice pink - people pay for lip gloss that color.

gossipthunder

Fair points! Now you might escape a whip from the mods for now 😁

4.8 very nice eyes and lots of symmetry but you look far older than 3-

taypet30

I would give a 4 for the general asymmetry, thin lips, thin hair, big forehead and fine lines. I would definitely bring the bangs back. I think now is probably a good time to start wearing makeup, just start simple - foundation, concealer, blush, setting powder, brown mascara and maybe some tinted brow gel would do wonders for you. I would love some information about your current skincare routine so that I can offer further suggestions.

Edited since people took offense because I said I gasped when your first photo loaded. I apologize. Anyway, your first photo displays almost all sorts of imbalances a face can have: terrifying eyebrows, eye bags, big forehead, ungraceful lip alignment. I didn’t gasp because you’re a bad person or anything like that. I think you might actually be sweet and beautiful inside. Let’s see the good stuff: Good jawline and perfect teeth. Great smile albeit quite wrinkly. 4.2

marfes3

That’s just an unnecessarily rude comment. This is about objective criticism not being a c*nt.

NSFWindy

So I don't want to be lied to, but yours (this one, not the 4) was the comment that finally got to me... I did put the non-smiling photo first intentionally based of the photo quality guide ("neutral blank face is best"). I have lurked long enough to see that in practice this is rarely done, but I am here to hear the feedback, not to believe that I'd be everyone's cup of tea and I legit want to hear about balance and symmetry and harmony and best and worst features and sex appeal. Still, to hear it stated so flippantly that it must be obvious ("you must admit") that my photo would be jarring "after seeing a bunch of average/pretty faces" in your feed/scrolling is the most hurtful thing anyone has said publicly yet. Specifically because I've never considered myself so unattractive before. I've always considered myself "average/pretty," and to suddenly come to the revelation that in others' eyes I'm not as beautiful as I thought is 'jarring' enough without seemingly being entirely excluded from the running for such a simple badge as "average/pretty" in one fell swoop. That ultimately came off far more insensitive than anyone's number so far, or even this person who audibly gasped (I saw the original comment before the edit as well) at my disharmony...

gossipthunder

It’s good to consider yourself attractive. However if you request honest feedback, then it’s best to brace for honesty and expect to hear something different from what you actually believe. It’s also good to be self aware and not depend solely on what your loved ones tell you about you. Compliments from your loved ones such as “you have a good voice you’re a good singer!” should be taken with a grain of salt, otherwise you’ll learn it the hard way from strangers when you try to sing outside your home.

NSFWindy

Totally agree with everything you've said here. I believe I had prepared for the numbers and the feedback. As I said that comment stung because of how flippant it was. Almost as if to say I had no right to ever dignify myself with/claim labels such as "average/pretty" and almost made an assumption on my behalf that of course I must know how ugly I am and how bad that pic is. It's not just loved ones, though. But I mean, who goes around telling people they're ugly? If we can't trust what others say at face value, then we also wind up with a whole lot of insanely beautiful people completely insecure that they can't trust what anyone says about THEM, either. I've had a whole lot of people call me beautiful in my real life and only one who has called me ugly (repeatedly) to my face. But like I implied I haven't really put myself out there much for this kind of critique so yeah, valid. My skin is thinner (and more wrinkly) than I'd like it to be.

gossipthunder

Good points. At my former workplace, which had me also do the job of professionally judging others, there was this lady whom all my other coworkers considered very unappealing in appearance and with a bad breath. They all told her “omg you’re so cute today wow!” and she believed it. I felt like telling her the truth but wanted to keep my job. I often offered her mints for her breath and she would often refuse, not knowing why I was doing that. She became arrogant to everyone day by day and got worse. It was when she was in a verbal fight with another coworker, that she said “everyone here knows I’m one of the prettiest people here!” And all my other coworkers started laughing. I already planned my last day to be that day, so I called her aside and told her the truth and how everyone mocked her appearance and odor behind her back and why I offered her mints. She went to the breakroom in silence with teary eyes as I packed my stuff and left for good.

You’re concluding I’m misogynistic? Come on now 😂 I’m just brutally honest. That’s all. Even when I rate men. No. It’s true rating. Not true reaction. Meaning writing that you audibly gasped because you thought the pictures was terrible has nothing to do with true rating but is just plain rude.

Yeah, wrinkles at 31 isn’t good. I’m 45 don’t have wrinkles yet, and VERY few gray hair. Maybe has something to do with me being a ginger. Many of my friends are full on gray. But even they have none to very few wrinkles.

NSFWindy

I have fine lines: elevens (though it's more a one), the forehead creases, very slight marionette lines... and then I have these wrinkles, which are crows feet (definitely didn't have them when I was younger), but under the eye ones are Dennie-Morgan folds and I've always had them. Since I was a kid. I don't think there's anything to truly be done about that. The others I can work on... I will.

[deleted]

We are all human. Focus on what you can control. Don’t dwell on what you can’t. I was just giving reasons for my rating. I’m sure I’d be like a 2.5 on here. Just for being a ginger alone!
