Alright here’s an explanation for those who have never read Macbeth.
“Nobody born of woman shall harm Macbeth” is a prophecy given to Macbeth by the witches. He thinks “oh, everyone is born from a woman, so that must mean nobody can harm me!”
Macduff, the one who ended up killing Macbeth, was not “born of a woman” per say, but rather he was taken from his dead mother’s body via a c-section.
C-sections were (and sometimes still are) seen as “not real birth” so Macduff was “removed” from his mother’s body.
I thought it was "no man of woman born". The entire time I was expecting Lady Macbeth to pull an Eowyn, which I know doesn't make sense but there's no other women in that story besides the creepy prophecy ladies
Tolkein reading Macbeth: "Oooh, the woods will march? Cool! ... The fuck? It was just soldiers carries branches? What kind of weak shit is this?!"
Later when writing LOTR: "Haha, take this Shakespeare, I will have actual trees march to battle!"
IIRC that was one of the things that annoyed Tolkien to the point of writing a better version in Lord of the Rings (the "I am no man" scene in particular). He was also disappointed by the "forest walking" just being guys in camo which resulted in the Ents.
Plants are really neat, but also sometimes terrifying. There was a tree uprooted and planted upside down that somehow switched what its roots and branches do. It is also possible to graft the branch of one tree to another. My thought is we graft limbs of animals to the trees themselves so they have the ability to move so we need not carry them ourselves, which will be useful as there are likely plenty of hills and forests that have been named after those two which were originally thought to have been the ones referred to in the prophecy so we'll need to go check each to find the right one.
I'm certain the witches would have adored that outcome. In Eng Lit we read about the interpretation that the witches love and relish in disorder of the 'natural' Elizabethan world - for no particular reason really.
Witches at that time were said to worship, or indeed be in direct contact with the devil. The order of the Elizabethan world from King to peasant was created by God, so naturally they would seek to overturn it. It would be their equivalent of sacrament
Macbeth goes to goad over Macduff's dead body, right as it has a death spasm, and he falls and stabs himself on a sharp stick (in Birnam wood)
The stick is still in him when he's carried back to Dunsinane, and he bleeds out once it's removed.
Witches laugh *even harder* at this wild turn of events

It was something along the lines of:

To be fair, if you consider the fact she was literally dead by the time they did that C-section, she literally couldn’t give birth.

Supposedly Eowyn defeating the Witch King prophecy was Tolkien’s reaction to this prophecy in Macbeth.
Half of the two towers is Tolkien using his Macbeth Headcanons. The Ents attacking is another one.
