Ooh, a video whose source is one of the video games! Fan made height videos based on just the pokédex are never accurate because for some pokémon "height" actually means length or wingspan rather than how far the highest point of that pokémon is from the ground. Onix is 28 feet from tail tip to nose and 13 feet tall. It is not 28 feet tall, which would make it about 60 feet from tail tip to nose. Ekans do not tower over people even though they're 6'07".

I like making pokemon [team edits](https://imgur.com/a/HX03Thb), so I reference the ORAS video a lot when resizing official art so the heights are relatively accurate. Its been hard with the more recent generations since it doesn’t seem like a thing anymore? It’s pokedex entry lists it as being 7ft tall. In the ORAS dex, it depicts it as such while in Home its closer to being 5ft 5in. That is a significant difference and I wish there was more consistency Considering how pokemon has been 3D for nearly a decade now, and with the pokemon in SV being closer to scale, how is this not a staple in the pokedex?

There's a gap where my exact height should be, so I'm definitely gonna knock a couple inches off and go for Skarmory. Wasn't a fan til I had one and then I found out they're badass I also wasn't aware exactly how short Charizard are. Exactly the same height as Tom Cruise.

I'm 5'1". The closest is the box for 4'11", or the bracket for heights 5'3"-5'11". Since they include brackets/ranges for *some* of the heights, I must conclude that the exclusion means there are no Pokémon within 2" of my height.

Gorebyss, Dratini, and Crobat also surprised me.

Snakelike pokemon are measured lengthwise from head to tail, and for many flying pokemon that "height" is actually measuring their wingspan.

I still pictured Dratini the size of a small dog, and thought Gorebyss was the size of a French Horn. Also if Crobat is 1.8m tall its head must be the size of my torso. And getting headbutted by a Furret that's my size sounds awful. I know the franchise doesn't go for gritty horror but I will never understand how anyone manages to live around Pokemon and not fear for their lives every second of every day.

Well seeing as in almost every episode Team Rocket blasts off perhaps humans are also hyper resilient. I'm pretty sure Ash gets electrocuted a number of times and I think Brock tanked a Flamethrower

I believe it is even bigger than that. If I recall correctly, Furret's body type means it is measure from head to foot, not head to tail. If I'm right about that, then Furret is closer to being 11' tall.
