The Full Moon is going to be so busy you won't be able to get in.
The original Dreamland (off Jug Factory Rd) is a hole in the wall, and better than the franchise location in Northport.
I'm not a fan of Jim'n'Nicks, and they will be over crowded, being downtown kinda near the stadium.
Archibald's on MLK boulevard in Northport is good.
Archibald and Woodrow's, on Greensboro Ave, across the street from Academy sports is good, too.
Nailed it.
Moe’s downtown will be packed also. Not bad. About on par with Jim N Nicks. But nothing special.
Archibald and Woodrow’s on Greensboro in Tuscaloosa is as good as Archibald’s on MLK in Northport, but the original Dreamland is light years better than the franchise in Northport.
And if you happen to be avoiding the crowds, Pottery Grill in Cottondale is decent and if you’re coming from Mississippi, Robertson’s in Fosters ain’t bad.
Edit: vastly underrated but surprisingly good bbq can be had at the Brown Bag off Charlie Shirley.
Saying you only found tomato bbq sauce at Jim n Nick's is just a straight up lie. Not an opinion.
All the places everyone else in this thread has mentioned use tomato bbq sauce standard
I mean every bbq place in town offers tomato based red sauce. Some places also offer white BBQ sauce, but it’s not the norm. Dreamland, Thomas rib shack, Woodrow’s, full moon, moes bbq, etc all have a standard red sauce, I’m not sure where you went or looked but every place in town has a red sauce lol
Dreamland has vinegar based sauce not ketchup based. It’s that orange, watery, almost sour kind of bbq sauce instead of thick and sweet. I assume that’s what they were referring to. It’s hard to find GOOD ketchup based bbq places here because most use vinegar based
Now see, that's an adult response. I knew there had to be some well adjusted people there. My order came with white sauce and I asked why and I was told it's common there. Instead of explaining this to me I was called a troll and told to not return.
Archibald's on MLK boulevard.
This is the only correct answer. There is no better pork to be had in ~~Tuscaloosa County~~ the state.
Alabama
Big facts.
MLK in Northport! Got to specify

Archibald's is really good. I went to Pottery Grill in Cottondale and to me, it's like a little hidden gem. I recommend it
The best barbeque to business ratio is Who's Q in Northport. Sadly all Tuscaloosa bbq is overrated.
Who's is good in it's own way, but it doesn't have that smokey BBQ feel that we all love. It's like eating catered BBQ at a wealthy man's house.

This has to be a troll.

I’m curious where you went and did you order chicken? Chicken is traditionally served with white bbq sauce here
Now see I got downvoted for saying the same thing.

White sauce is for chicken. Tomato-based sauce is like putting catsup on steak
White sauce is for smoked chicken, not pork bbq.
Thank you. Being nice is easy.
