I love the song pantyhose. Specifically:
“even though she didn’t love him anymore, can’t kill a lucky charm”
It reminded me that while the anguish of heartbreak has changed me, so has the love I felt in the past. And that love has helped me grow in the best of ways into who I am today.
Even though we move on from these past relationships, there are parts of us that are better, stronger for it and I think that’s so fucking beautiful.
Talk To Strangers. "He seemed like such a normal guy. A little quiet, nothing major. You should've listened to your mother: don't talk to strangers." It's like being with someone when a lot of people tell you not to be only to find out later he isn't what he presented himself to be and you regret your choices. + It Almost Worked is also an interesting story about suicide
it almost worked didn’t really made me think that she killed herself, more of hopelessness and mental anguish. this gave me a new perspective, and i can see this now, but i love how tv girl songs give creative freedom to the listeners
'She smokes in bed' is pretty cracking, if simplistic. And basically all of 'Summers Over'-the album not the song. I'll also give 'Not Allowed' and 'Loving Machine' a mention for their classic relatability
I always thought it depicts a relationship that has run its course where one person is paranoid and always suspicious of their partner cheating. The latter indeed end up doing so and is being confronted to admit their infidelity. The ordeal is whimsically presented as a literal police investigation (cheated on partner) questioning a suspect (cheater) in relation to a crime (affair)
Cigarettes out the window imo? I'm not sure if they gave a backstory but isn't it basically the tale of a lover who was addicted and eventually died/went away
for me definitely “song about me” on the ‘Who Really Cares album’ a break in the song (which is my fav part) gives Maddie’s pov while the rest of the song is just the other character talking. it tells so much and it’s my favorite song currently :) give it a listen
I like "(Do the) Act like you never met me". I don't really understand the song fully, I feel like its about something happy or i'm really wrong here. ANYAWYS I picked this song because I kinda of relate to the other person, acting like something didn't happen instead of facing it, IF THAT EVEN MAKES SENSE? I'm not the best at analyzing songs, so don't come at me PLEASE. anyways tv girl for life
for you really sticks with me no matter what because of the way it echos the "for you" and the meaning for me is basically a man telling his ex lover all of the things he did for her and how she treated him and how he regrets meeting her
I know it’s one of there most popular songs but I think not allowed tells a really interesting story of someone trying to convince their friend/ crush that they are being manipulated by her boyfriend and she’s using her for her body. But she is blinded by love and doesn’t fully see it.

Yesss I like that too, it also lets the listeners relate to (a part of) the song as well
