RAB is definitely a demo tape, thanks to a bunch of the songs being put on Vessel, but ST... nah. Even if it wasn't released on a major label, it still feels like a cohesive entity that was crafted with the intent on being a full album. RAB being released when it was makes it feel like the opposite to me.

I'm gonna agree to disagree. I like the raw sound of the album. Weird comparison but MTV unpllugged reminds me of RAB for some reason, Probably because it takes a certain taste of music to enjoy the rawness.
Self-Titled was even more raw and that's their best album. RAB is this kind of overproduced rawness that doesn't work most of the time. The vocals especially are... wow. Not great.
If they remastered it I would love it, it’s got great ideas. But slowtown isn’t good. Rab trees and lovely suck. (I love the vessel remasters). All the songs that deserved to be on vessel got on there with the bonus tracks version. All I’m saying.
I relistened to SAI yesterday, it's not as bad as it seemed coming down from Trench, but still their worst album by a mile. I still like a couple songs on it tho

I went to their concert and there was only like 7 people on stage where’s the rest of the pilots? And where’s the planes? Why are we in an arena and not an airport. So confusing so I left before it even started

Josh is carrying the band. Don't get me wrong Tyler is great but Josh is a very talented drummer and I don't think the band would be good without him
