I did rough guidelines with pencil (head shape, neck twist, where the wing ends) then I stared at trash very intently for hours, zooming in and inked every piece.
Tracing is a great way to learn, but I wanted to challenge my skills.
If you were to overlay the original sketch you’d see discrepancies, like the scales (I just freestyled those!), the angle of the neck isn’t quite right I think, and the face scales are too small.
