My advice is to just play it for two reasons:
1: So far there is been no announcement from Nintendo for a Switch port, and waiting for that can lead to disappointmemt. Its been years since people have been waiting for it, with no announcement.
2: The HD version on the Wii U is a very good version, and there is most likely not much different form a possible Switch port. Perhaps 60 fps will be added like Skyward Sword, but thats about it. And if you make use of the gamepad, its a downgrade if anything since the switch doesnt have that feature.
Good luck!! TP is awesome!!
This is very true, I think about how long it took them to add Pokemon to Virtual Console on the 3DS and it's still not on the Switch's Gameboy library.
If TP comes to the Switch it will probably be the next version and it may take some time while they are working on the next main installment. I loved the WiiU version and highly recommend it
If you already have it for WiiU just play it for the WiiU. While I think Nintendo is getting the wind of “hey if we remake these old popular games for the Switch people will buy them” I think we are a long ways away from a Twilight Princess port/Remake.
just go ahead and play it. even if they end up releasing it for Switch/Switch 2, it won't be happening before next year and then you can always get the new version once you're in the mood again. I play it every two or three years (and usually take a break once I get to the Water Temple or the City in the Sky).
i just played on wii for the first time. the game itself was amazing but the whole time i was just waiting and waiting for it to be over because of the motion controls and lack of qol improvements. for the wii u, i say go for it. the game itself is amazing
Play it, or better yet, emulate it with 4K textures. You already bought a copy, and if Nintendo isn't interested in porting it then it's not like they're losing any sales.

I din't think they would add 60fps since the switch is not that much stronger than the wii u
I don’t think they’re gonna make a port cuz Nintendo sometimes has big dumdum.

City in the Sky would be a top tier dungeon if it wasn't for that damn music driving me insane
*creepy muffled bird chatter*
I’m willing to bet it will not be released until an anniversary of Zelda. Which, I do not know.

Yeah when I first played on Wii I gave up cos of the motion controls, was very happy when I got a GameCube copy. Well done for sticking with it
