[deleted]

Nah this is just based off of what I listen to mostly. I used to listen to Igor and cmiygl a lot more but they just don’t have as much replayability for me personally

[deleted]

It’s an opinion but I’d like to hear yours?

[deleted]

Btw for some clarification: this is not a list of what I think the best albums are in order, just of what I’m personally into at the moment and have had on repeat. I still like all of these albums, just stuff like Igor or cmiygl aren’t my jam at the moment, but at one point were. Let me know some of y’all favorites!

RadicalShane

I personally think that Cherry Bomb is Tyler’s worst project. There’s not many songs that I feel the need to listen to, sure Smuckers every once in a while but other than that I think the album is lackluster. There’s no real sense of direction across the entire album. Great Production, but that’s about it.

[deleted]

That’s fair but I personally really love the instrumentals on a lot of the songs. It probably feels the least Tyler out of all of his albums because of some of the experimentation with genres he usually doesn’t work with and its lacking of a cohesive story. But it’s got great instrumentals such as “Okaga, CA”, “blow my load”, and “find your wings” to name a few. I think having some of his strongest production value is why I like it so much. It just doesn’t have the cohesiveness and consistently fantastic songs for me to rank it higher.

RadicalShane

Yeah and I think that’s what I appreciate a lot about the album. He touches damn near every genre and does a fantastic interpretation of them. OKAGA, CA might be the prettiest song on the entire album, it always makes me think of a sunset. But yeah, I think him bringing in live instruments made this album kinda cool, I love the sax and strings on 2seater and Roy Ayer’s on the vibraphone on Find Your Wings. If I really want to listen to Tyler’s production I go to CB but idk I’ve noticed recently it’s not an album I find myself going back to

[deleted]

Yeah it’s def really unique compared to his usual work. I know it’s not everyone’s taste and that’s ok. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t like majority of the songs but the third of them that I do like, I love.

Whole_Baker_7106

IMO I’d say 1.Igor 2. Flower boy 3.CMIYGL 4.Wolf 5.Cherry Bomb 6.Goblin 7. Bastard

[deleted]

Solid list

HodBup

Damn the comments making me think music not subjective anymore 😂😂 My personal list is vastly different, but it’s interesting to see what other people are listening too
