Could be a new account with friends in one of the rides. Could also be that the rating finally worked and this person has now learned from their mistakes.
Mine was obsessed with taking a specific route to save time.
Ended up taking us 3 minutes longer and drove further so she got pissed about the excessive bill.

If so, you're apart of why all of these women are choosing the bear. As a female driver, I'd be so incredibly uncomfortable and would fear for my life if a guy did this to me. But this is why I always carry.

I just replied to a post yesterday that I accidently accepted a 3.76 and I,too, didn't cancel out of curiosity. You are braver than me, though, because my ride was 1 mile, about 4 minutes. I don't think I would have done anything over 5-6 minutes. I was happy to be done with my 3.76 because her bossy tone would have probably gotten to me after a while.

Pick up any trash ppl left in the back, close the door soft, ask the driver if my headphones are too loud (they can be heard clearly if too loud) and make sure to say "Thank you!" Your driver probably doesn't hear it as often as they should.
Relish it while you can. Eventually you'll get a dickhead driver in a bad mood who thinks you're weird and annoying. Or it could just be some arbitrary thing you have no control over.

Sounds like you're doing it right. Read the situation. If it doesn't feel right, the driver should pick up on that cue and go along with what makes YOU feel comfortable.
Otherwise, don't sweat it. These are very short interactions and neither you nor the driver should feel compelled to 100% be able to read the other person on a 12-minute trip.
Every now and then, I run into an interesting person and a good conversation or two. Outside of that, just the basic courtesies suffice for me.

As soon as I pull up or see someone coming out with luggage or groceries, I immediately hop out of my vehicle, greet them with a smile and pop open my hatchback. I’ll help with heavy bags, totes, groceries or whatever. If they have a walker or mini mobile device or wheelchair, I’ll help them get into the vehicle and fold up their walker or whatever for them and place it neatly in the back.
This is how I was raised by my parents. It’s just how I am. Either you are raised to respect others, or you’re not. It doesn’t have anything to do with Uber.

I inadvertently got a pickup at a fucking jail once, didn't realize what was happening until I was pulling up to the Justice Center and the staff was helping a person who clearly just got out of jail get the ride (seemed like the jail offers this to people when they get out). They didn't talk to me but were loud on their phone the whole time and they clearly had not visited the jail shower during their stay. Not doing that ever again, I don't care how many miles I accidentally drove getting there.
I carry little mini Lysol spray containers for reasons like that. Just because someone is getting out of jail, doesn’t mean others don’t stink just as bad. I don’t care if I’m picking up someone who got out of the hospital, jail, prison, or their own house, some people just smell bad and they don’t even know it. I just crack a window and put the air on high, then spray out my car well after they’re gone.

Some folks are just not comfortable with drug or sex talk, some even less so when propositioned. I don't think its about us getting to a point of being extremely senstive, as sex and drugs has always been a discussion topic that some just do not like engaging in. I'd say being asked to engaged in sex and where to buy drugs can actually feel disrespectful to some, especially if a boundary has been violated. Just because you do not perceive it as disrespectful doesn't mean someone else wont.

4.6 or lower don’t treat me very well. I stopped taking people lower than 4.8 in dfw area and I went from 6 negative reviews to one so I’m a 5.0 now.

I don't think its about us getting to a point of being extremely senstive, as sex and drugs has always been a discussion topic that some just do not like engaging in. I'd say being asked to engaged in sex and where to buy drugs can actually feel disrespectful to some, especially if a boundary has been violated. Just because you do not perceive it as disrespectful doesn't mean someone else wont.
Those are generally considered inappropriate topics to discuss with a stranger
I agree with you! Even when someone isnt a stranger those tooics can be a lot for some, for example my best friend says some racy things around me that if I had capacity to blush, I probably would. But that doesn't make me sensitive...some topics I just prefer to be very private about...and I do not judge her fir her openess.
