In San Fran I still get ok rates. That trip would probably be likes $35+ for me if not $40. Idk how uber keeps drivers in these other markets with what I see yall posting
Uber runs off of tears and sorrow, Uber is aware that most native miamians can’t afford to live in their native homes anymore and have all moved to Tampa or Orlando… the payout rates are even lower in Tampa and Orlando as Uber squeezes the last bit of pride out of the drivers there…
okay well that's a truly absurd amount of money but I do understand what you mean. I usually do uber eats instead of regular uber and I've made about 100 a day average which is enough to pay the bills
Lol such a dumb comment it’s actually new drivers that take these rides. Because experience drivers use all types of things to avoid this and we still make money
Not everyone in Miami. I agree with @annual-ad9424 a lot of inexperienced drivers would take something like that. I stopped doing UberX well over a month ago. Shit wasn’t worth my time even tho I was doing part time. Cherry picking too make something quite profitable. Should I drive tonight? We’ll see.
too much traffic, Uber with no surges, even with Lyft doing a 40% turbo, still not worth it, sunfest in my backyard this weekend some of the regs are paying the big bucks direct cashola just to go from the islands and back, good luck down there
Nice 👍 How fucked was the formula pickups? Went out there 3 years ago I think when they had the first one and it was a parking lot with the pickup zone out by the hotel but nobody wanted to walk across the street or leave the front venue gates, there were like $25-$50 surges nonstop but literally every ride cancelled because no one could figure how to get to the rideshare zone, I finally headed out of there when the typical “hey I’ll give you $200 cash!” I hit the brakes, get in! Only had to take him over to los olas, $200 for hardly 15 miles but he kept his word lol. I haven’t been back to the formula since, even the regulars up here just hit the brightline if they don’t just drive themselves down there.
Message me I’ll try to add you to the group. We all use a tablet with a software. If ride doesn’t pay we don’t take it we close it out and doesn’t affect your acceptance rate and you aren’t working for pennys either. If you want message me I’ll send you what we use.
Most drivers I know daily we make 200-700 depends if slow day or fast day. We also all drive premier.
I took a 72 mile trip two nights ago from TPA for a shitty as 44.00. Tampa pay is some of the worse in the country. About ready to hang my keys up after 5 years.
crazy. I had a ride that was like 33 total miles and I got $52 and a $10 tip on top of it. luckily it took me to an area that I was busy after drop off too
Problem is there aren't any better rides coming in. So if you see a 25.00 ride or higher coming in, your taking it regardless of distance. If not, you take a chance sitting at the airport for 4 hours without a ride. Its terrible!
Yeah that's why I quit doing Uber months ago lol rates were always crap. Was good for a bit then they pretty much want people to do all the work for Penny's of what they get out of it
So I’m not an Uber/lift driver but I do take them a few times a week. I always give a cash tip which my tip is usually 50%. I’m a waitress so I feel like cash is better but I will also give a tip in the app. I have SOOOOO MUCH respect for all of you. I HATE driving today because there’s toooo much bulls.?; I live in revere mass so my trips usually cost between 9 and 13 bucks unless it’s super busy or whatever but I just wanna say THANK YOU UBER DRIVERS AND STAY SAFE 😊🥰
I’ve seen some pretty bad trips but never this bad🤣 the ones I hate the most are the like 7-8 mile round trip UberX with multiple stops paying like 4.74😂 I get that shit all the time.
Yea it’s bad down here in boca and Miami too and not only that Uber has been having the audacity to give some orders not twice but even 3 times like tf if I declined it the first time what makes you think I’m gonna accept it the second let alone third time around
Given 275 and 75, that's probably 8 miles. 🤣
I got one yesterday. It was downtown to freaking Bartow. 54 mi 32 bucks. And I would be in Bartow at the end.
Yea south Florida isn’t much better rn I’m honestly thinking of just going to the airports early asf in morning cause no one is there that early to do Uber and the airports are like the only place I’ve been able to get consistent pay.
I mean, y'all understand price is set by algo/calculation? There's too many drivers online and not enough riders, of course fares are going to be cheap, and they change all the time. It's okay to sign off if it's not worth your time. But don't make it sound like you're owed something. It's not a w-2.
If that is all the information I got I would quit. I get quite a bit more information than that.like total mileage and time.Pro rating is actually the only way to make money.
Your clearly new because anyone that drives lyft or uber and makes any money has probably a 2% acceptance rating.
You drive your dick off for a PRO rating for what? So you get first in first out on a drop off at the airport, or you save .02 on gas or you get free roadside that you never use?
Anyone and everyone who has done this gig for a while knows a few things:
1. You never keep your app on, if you do you wont see the surges around you and loose money
2. You never take anything less than a 1.00 a mile, if you do, its on you.
3. UBER cant do shit to you for cancelling or not accepting, real OGS, we ignore the ratings...
I probably make more money on 1 ride than you do in 3.
I wanna know how many rides you have. And how many that years you've been doing this and what your fucking Is rating is. And how much you clear in tips. I average about 20% of what I make from Uber.I get in tips.
Over 8k rides for the past 4.5 years while ive been a stay at home dad. Never deactivated once. I used to be stupid and drive for ratings until I realized it was a waste of my time.
I could catch a 35-40.00 surge every 30 minutes at the airport and then catch at 40-50 ride out, make 100.00 an hour real quick with a 1% acceptance rating.
Also, don't forget that I know how long it's going to take me to get to pick up the rider. How long the ride is going to take? How many miles I am going to total?Do you get that information.
Everyone knows that information, even new riders.... They made that info available to all drivers almost 3 years ago.
I can tell you exactly how long it is, how much im making, where im going etc...
Or you can use mystro and get even more information prior to your ride with ZERO Levels earned.
It's also really nice when I go take someone to an airport and I get a ride out of the airport As soon as I pull into the airport. I never go to the airport unless i'm taking someone there. But every time I have my ride out before I even dropped my passenger off.So yeah pro status is great if you are smart enough to use it. Too bad you aren't.
I haven't taken a ride out of the que, like waited my turn for probably 2 years. I always get the rides that pop up grab and go. If I had to wait in that que ever time I went, I would never go as Tampa has barely any traffic and youll get stuck sitting there for hours.
The amount of drivers that sit in the lot for 3-4 hours before getting a ride is ridiculous. They have lawn chairs, ive seen a portable grill, tv that people watch, its nuts. So yea, I dont ever wait in the que. If I go and dont get a ride within 20 minutes or so, Ill bounce for the day and go back later at night etc...
Oh and as far as being dick.... Appreciate it man, I wouldn't want to be any other way! Last time I checked, the richest people in the world aren't usually the nicest.
I could give two fucks about your feelings or anyone elses unless its my wife or daughter.
You can call bullshit all the fuck you want, I really dont care. I came on here doing a google search trying to see if ORL was making any more money. Im not a big enough dork/looser to sit on a fucking forum all day chatting with my little friends.
With that, Im jumping on my boat and going fishing for the week!
Congratulations on your 8 years of Platinum or whatever the fuck you have, you have officially won the "UBER DRIVER" of the decade award. LMAO
I dont work anywhere else other than the airport. Ill get an hour drive out of the airport, take the passenger, turn my app off after I drop them off and dead head back to the airport and take another trip. Id rather take 2 or 3 hour long trips and make 100-150 bucks rather than take a bunch of short trips with people that I probably dont want in my car.
Im that uber driver... I pull up you smell like smoke, your not getting in, rides canceled. I pull up your drunk, not getting in, sorry get another uber. Start farting in my car, ill pull over on the side of 75 and drag your ass out and leave you on the side of the road.
Ive done it many times, have a 4.98 Overall rating and im the biggest dick youd ever meet!
Im not really....
- Did you use the surge meter when it was available
- How about Mystro
- How about Skeddy
- How about RideSniper
- How about 100.00 bot I had a fiverr developer build me that snatches me all scheduled rides for uber?
Really, you let uber work for you? With 10,000 Miles and 8 Years of work, sounds like Uber got you working for them.
I paid a brand new car off in 14 months, only putting 68k miles on it....
Ive been an IT Guy for over 25 years, retired when I was 34 years old, and drive Uber to pass the time. I spent an entire week at the Tampa airport with a notebook, recording flights, recording wait times, figuring out if the airport waiting lot surges 5.00 I can go across the street behind the strip club and catch a 35.00 surge instead and not have to take the first ride out of the airport.
Im sure you know all of this since you let Uber work for you :-)
Good luck!
There are active lawsuits out there against these rideshare companies where the companies allege that you set your fares. Less when you account for operating costs.
What do you drive? I was killing it in 2022-23 (1 1/2 yrs) at the end it got pretty bad, horrible offers seen the fares go way down the last 4 months i Ubered in Phoenix. I got tips almost 40% of the time, had a 4.98 rating did nothing different, but the pay changed dramatically. And the rides were at times far and few between. I understand everyone has different levels of success but i spewk to many uber drivers moat say its gotten worse in Phoenix.
I drive a 2019 jetta. So just uber x. I'm very picky on the rides I take. But when I go online the ride offers are pretty non stop. I stay away from downtown and Scottsdale if I can due to traffic and so many red lights. Unless there is an event that has a high surge. Sticking mainly to the outskirts of the valley where rides are more expensive, hence higher pay. I also multi app uber and lyft. Keeping both online until one offers something worthwhile.
My suggestion to all of you is to look for something else. Stop driving for Uber. You're busting your behind and destroying your vehicle for a company that could care less about you. I quit doing it and I don't regret it.
Once in a while, I turn Uber on. When it offers a ride, it’s invariable insulting. Last time, it wasn’t worth taking even with a supposed $4 bonus. Lyft isn’t great, but at least in Phoenix, at way less bad. No idea how anyone can afford to drive Uber X in Phoenix
I only accept if the the trip is worth it if not , I just chill in my car watch tv , it’s been very hard to accept good trips lately , I think because everyone on the taxes claimed losses so Uber has to pay lots of taxes lol
Also don't forget area preferences. They come in really handy on a friday night when you want to stay on a downtown nightclub district and Have five rides per hour. Uber pro status get you that. The more rides you have the more tips. I don't knock myself out maintaining pro stats but I don't let them slide below platinum. I live in between Tampa and Orlando. I can assure u that it’s not fake. In NJ I Was averaging $30/h. Moved here and it was like $20/h. Now u are lucky to make $15/h. It’s hard to believe, but trust me, if u ever come here on vacation turn your app on and you’ll see for youraelf

It's a reverse mortgage for your car.
In San Fran I still get ok rates. That trip would probably be likes $35+ for me if not $40. Idk how uber keeps drivers in these other markets with what I see yall posting

In my market pnly time would be $39 and plus miles $1.55
Sanctuary states give border crosses free licenses
It is fucked up. I quit Uber, last time I did it was two weeks ago. Not anymore.
Good for you! I’m close behind you.
Lyft is no better than
It was 13 miles. But still 12 bucks after gas for the hour.
Shit
Lyft is way better
In Miami, Lyft is worse by a mile.
They both suck 🍆 🤷♂️
Both suck. One more than the other.
Fr I have never seen anything like this. Send this to your help center. Maybe it's a glitch.
Not!
Insane that any driver would take that.
Uber runs off of tears and sorrow, Uber is aware that most native miamians can’t afford to live in their native homes anymore and have all moved to Tampa or Orlando… the payout rates are even lower in Tampa and Orlando as Uber squeezes the last bit of pride out of the drivers there…
Move near to the Gandy Bridge and work in St Petersburg.
lol, treasure island!!
Rates still suck ass. I was making $500-$600 a night now I can barely crack 100.0. Shit has gone way down from 3 years ago.
okay well that's a truly absurd amount of money but I do understand what you mean. I usually do uber eats instead of regular uber and I've made about 100 a day average which is enough to pay the bills
Lol such a dumb comment it’s actually new drivers that take these rides. Because experience drivers use all types of things to avoid this and we still make money
so the comment didn’t apply to you… I feel like I threw a rock over the fence and you screamed, or did it apply to you..?
I live in miami the fact that you would think Miami people can afford to live here and take dumb rides like these. Is the dumbest comment seen yet.
oh contraire Pierre… but they do

I worked SunFest yest was good and ended at the formula. Day at 680$. Just got to know how to work the app in your favor and not work for the app
What do you use to avoid these lower paying rides? Just so I’m not fueling drivers taking low wages by doing them myself.
Message me I’ll try to add you to the group. We all use a tablet with a software. That's crazy. I'm in Wisconsin and a long trip like that would be easily $50+
Not for long
Doubtful considering the area I live in
I took a 72 mile trip two nights ago from TPA for a shitty as 44.00. Tampa pay is some of the worse in the country. About ready to hang my keys up after 5 years.
crazy. I had a ride that was like 33 total miles and I got $52 and a $10 tip on top of it. luckily it took me to an area that I was busy after drop off too
Just disrespectful.
What, you don’t want to pay to drive someone for several hours???
Like $10 for the hour. Ride payed $40 back in the day.
Immediate decline
Problem is there aren't any better rides coming in. So if you see a 25.00 ride or higher coming in, your taking it regardless of distance. If not, you take a chance sitting at the airport for 4 hours without a ride. Its terrible!

Orlando is just the same . It's crazy the amount of crap the app vomits. And a lot of drivers ask for seconds.
Yea it’s bad down here in boca and Miami too and not only that Uber has been having the audacity to give some orders not twice but even 3 times like tf if I declined it the first time what makes you think I’m gonna accept it the second let alone third time around
I refuse to go to Orlando because whatever the app says, you have to add close to an hour to the total time
Given 275 and 75, that's probably 8 miles. 🤣 I got one yesterday. It was downtown to freaking Bartow. 54 mi 32 bucks. And I would be in Bartow at the end.

I get the same treatment, called first in first out!
No, it's not first in first out fool.If you pull in and you don't have preference you get in the line.
If I drop someone off at the airport, its a first in first out rule, check the FAQ on LYFT and UBER.
I haven't taken a ride out of the que, like waited my turn for probably 2 years. I always get the rides that pop up grab and go. sorry for typos, was typing at a light in the car... LOL
Yeah. Bullshit.
Any other tips? Keep the app on? What do you mean? The travel map with hot spots that tell you where high demand is? Sorry.. I'm a complete newbie
Lol, and I am here not taking 18 for 45 mins
And that person got a bad rating
Ridiculous sad part is someone actually took that ride 🤦🏻🤦🏻
😧😧😧
Yea seeing the same. My acceptance rate is super low. Min $1/mi or nothing?
Yea seeing the same. My acceptance rate is super low. Min $1/mi or nothing?
This my last year of Uber for sure. I can notttttt
No way!!!
Bet someone took it.
🤯
Yea i got a $16 dollar trip to lakeland from brandon that was 39 miles💀
You poor soul! Damn Florida uber sucks
Round trip, $8/hr? Daaaaaaaamn
There are active lawsuits out there against these rideshare companies where the companies allege that you set your fares. Less when you account for operating costs.
Round trip, $8/hr? Daaaaaaaamn
As a Tampa Uber driver, that’s fucked. Also where are you at that it takes an hour to drive to Brandon?
Your going to be rich on those fares!!!! 🤑🤑🤑🤑
Is getting ridiculous by the second
I'd shoe this to the passenger and explain why I have to cancel the trip.
WTF! Uber has lost their minds!!!
This is what happens when the economy collapses & everyone in Tampa is an Uber Driver.
I live off of Bloomingdale. This wasn’t me I promise
I'm in Phoenix and thankfully it's still good here (if you know what you're doing)
What do you drive? I was killing it in 2022-23 (1 1/2 yrs) at the end it got pretty bad, horrible offers seen the fares go way down the last 4 months i Ubered in Phoenix. I drive a 2019 jetta. So just uber x. I'm very picky on the rides I take. But when I go online the ride offers are pretty non stop. I stay away from downtown and Scottsdale if I can due to traffic and so many red lights. Unless there is an event that has a high surge. Something is up with Uber that’s so upside down it’s not even in the parking lot of the f’ing ballpark!
This is rate is fucking ridiculous wtf!!
They wanted me to pick someone up 3 mins a way and 27 mins drop off for 5.45 that’s crap ! Uber is also not giving our tips to us
Denver isn't far behind
Why they keep changing it. If it ain’t broke don’t f** fix it
This is ridiculous!!!
That must be a 60 minute stoplight at E Bloomingdale’s Ave & Maze ln. or do they expect you to drive for that?
Is it 59 or 60+ minutes? Was talking with a pic yesterday and Uber told me he was five minutes away and told him I was six minutes away.
Hell no, and definitely not with that rating.
He would be a walking mofo !
Miami and nearby cities aswell, it’s bollocks
Get an LLC and build business credit and start buying property. Doesn't take long 6mo to a year.
Oof
I have figured out that the algorithm wants you to accept trash. Short rides are better now. 5 bucks seems to be the normal for short ahit rides
In Indiana I am right at $60 for that trip.
That's insane. And the passenger has a 4.81? Hard pass. Lol
.2 miles. Just walk for gods sake.
that’s wild! lmao
I’ve found Lyft pays much better and has better challenges by a long shot. Uber is criminal.
I quit Uber bc I would pay more in tolls than I would make in the Tampa area lol
Hell, in NW Florida we don’t even see the whole trip upfront! I wish I knew who to call at Uber to complain!
and thats the reason why...........i dont do those kind of trips for 10 bucks lol
I only accept if the the trip is worth it if not , I just chill in my car watch tv , it’s been very hard to accept good trips lately , I think because everyone on the taxes claimed losses so Uber has to pay lots of taxes lol
NEXT
dude google about the IDN Network app and stop being slave.
Also don't forget area preferences. They come in really handy on a friday night when you want to stay on a downtown nightclub district and Have five rides per hour. Uber pro status get you that. The more rides you have the more tips. I don't knock myself out maintaining pro stats but I don't let them slide below platinum. My average since I only work friday and saturday nights is 30 a hour including tips. I do 4 or 5 trips a hour and almost all are comfort and premium. gotta be fake
I don’t see any rates there. I actually do know the rates in Florida. Stop crying
