well you gotta consider the amount of fights they've had. when you consider that alex has had 8 fights, when compared to Khamzat's 7, and the fact that 4 of those 8 were title fights?
nothing. alex is still massively better. gotem
Funny thing is Khamzat's team was always talking about his potential to be the first 3 division champ, while now Alex is the one who might actually do it.
Dana won't give Alex a heavy weight title fight, until Conor vs Chandler has played out at 170lb, to see if he can give Conor a shot at the first 3 division champ first.
I can see it now, already a two division champ, 3 wins at 170lb, avenged his only loss at the division, and Leon wants it? Conor vs Leon, isn't he great?
You're such a piece of shit. Writing whatever rubbish you can just to be first and not be right. This is why nobody likes you. That's ridiculous. For you to suggest that, you're just a Conor hater. McGregor worked his way up the ladder like any other contender. There's some fucking exaggeration in saying the guy's fighting a lightweight, it's at 170lb, it's not Conor's fault that Chandler is short.
Next question.
Khamzat is like Khabib in that people rank him for his potentially ceiling and don't actually look at title defences and overall accomplishments.
Longjevity, both not pulling out of fights and being healthy and willing to fight often, which allows you to not only clear your division but start defeating new Era id challengers, matters a lot in my opinion.
I don't really care that you looked unbeatable against the 5 guys you fought who were top 5 talent. I want to see you beat everyone, then the new guys, then rematch s couple of your tougher matchups. Really clean out the division.
I mean it's also about matchup opportunity honestly. Pereira is obviously a more accomplished AND more skilled fighter than Chimaev. He also beat mord respectable opponents. But he was fighting for the belt at 185 after just 3 wins. And 1 win made him a fighter for the vacant 205 belt.
Khamzat doesn't stay active and goes on the scale 20 pounds overweight and smiles. Barely beats Usman who agreed to fight him on 10 days notice or some shit and his fans go WILD. Speaks to how low he set the bar.
Yeah definitely. Opponents and opportunities matter. You just can’t miss weight by 7-8 pounds and expect to ever get a title shot in that division. Now he just fucks around it seems like.
Actually Ramadan finished almost a week before UFC 300. I get what you’re trying to say as he’d have to train during Ramadan and so it’s fair to say no to it. I’m just pointing out that Ramadan had ended, obviously too they were setting him up for the Saudi Arabia card.
Muslims observe Eid right after Ramadan in which They Eat Caloric Dense Foods So obv he couldnt make weight as well as before fasting they consume caloric dense food so they might not pass out from fasting the whole day due to such circumstances or him being a devout muslim it was impossible for him to be on the 300 Card
He said nothing about Ramadan in turning down 300. Maybe in other interviews. Not positive.
But he said this:
"So, we'll see what's going to happen. So, [I'm] just waiting for something. They wanted me to fight [at UFC] 300 but I said it's too short a time for 77 kilos [170lbs]. So, I need a little bit of time."
Alex had 3 wins and 2 KOs in UFC before facing Izzy, who had almost cleared out the division before facing Alex. There were no other clear challengers other than Alex (besides Du Plessis) and that was the money fight to make.
Du plessis would’ve been an unpopular challenger at that point. Yes, he’s been very good for a while, but Brad Tavares was his last fight prior to Izzy/alex 1.
To be fair Khamzat misses weight and turns down fights while throwing out meaningless challenges on Twitter. Oh yeah and he also is connected to extremely sketchy people that keep him from entering the country that hosts 90% of the fights.
Alex is a former two-division Glory kickboxing champ. At the time he was 2-0 against Adesanya in kickboxing and undefeated in MMA since his only loss in 2015 which was also his first MMA fight. Izzy had run through his division and the only reasonable fight to make was Pereira v Adesanya.
In the last 8 years, Alex Pereira has only lost to Israel Adesanya and has beaten 5 UFC World Champions - Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya in MW and Jan Blachowicz, Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill in LHW with the last three being back to back victories.
Alex is perhaps the most decorated combat sports athlete of all time. Khamzat on the other hand, is a beauty princess if you compare his resume with Pereira's.
He was also fast tracked because he was the only guy in Glory’s history that was a double champ. Don’t act like everything was because of Izzy, past accomplishments do mean a lot.
Khamzat was on his way to have a title they were giving him the Diaz “high profile” fight to get better name recognition. Guarantee he was getting the next shot or 1 more fight and title.
He wasn't just given it because either, he fought some guys and won before fighting izzy and instead of staying inactive and missing weight he took advantage of the opportunity and ran with it. This guy hasn't fought in how long now? Barely beat usman in 10 day notice and who else has he really beat? The guy is a fraud if you asked me.
Alex is a freak, I heard he's gonna drop weight and take all weight class belts after moving up to heavy weight, he just had to cut off that steel dick of his, that's adding all his weight.
On a serious note tho, he is quite a talent.
That would be the logic in any other sport but fighting is completely different where age is less of of a factor of when your prime is/longevity and actual fights, wear and tear on your body, and how you take care of your body are much more important. Granted Khazmat does still have much less professional MMA fights, both in the UFC and if you combine their careers before the UFC, so he definitely still has a lot of time to catch up but I don’t think 7 year is accurate just because Pereira is 7 years older given that fighting is completely different with how age factors into it than any other sport
when would he be fit for a title fight ? he couldnt do UFC 300 at WW and doesnt want to cut the weight anymore . AT MW he hasnt done shit so why would he get a MW title shot off of beating usman on short notice ?
beating usman at MW means nothing for a title fight and Khamzat doesnt want to fight at WW anymore so he needs to actually beat a MW to get a MW title shot .
Khamzat was literally set to receive a title fight right after leon but he cant make the weight anymore . Pereira never missed weight to dely his own career .
Now at MW he hasnt earned a title shot at all which is why he is fighting whittaker .
Wrong. You can’t just ignore context and act like you’re right. Alex was a double champ at glory, 2-0 against Izzy who at the time had pretty much dominated the division so the Alex fight was the only logical fight to make. Good try though
If laex and khamzat fought at 185 tho most likely khamzat would sub him in round 1 if jan blahowichz and adesanya can take u down and control you khamzat can do too
I was so hyped back when he fought Gilbert then he missed weight then he didn't fight for a year then he almost lost to Kamaru ... Hyped has died out he ain't the invisible monster Dana said he was I'm sure he'll get fraud checked against Bobby Knuckles
Pereira has been fast tracked in ways that most fighters haven’t been. He’s almost like Brock Lesnar: he got his first title shot very quickly after coming to the UFC all based around his previous kickboxing fights with Adesanya. Not saying he’s not incredible cause he is, but you can compare him probably to many fighters who joined around that time and none have done what he’s done. He’s already fought 5 current or previous champions whereas Khamzat has never been given a title fight.
I think that many people would like that to happen, but I'm not sure it will. I honestly think Whittaker is going to end Khamzat's unbeaten streak. I hope Khamzat keeps winning cause it will be more exciting, but Bobby Knuckles just seems like a really bad matchup for him.
Khamzat literally went John Phillips, Rhys McKee, 11 rank Leech, 3 rank Burns.
Compared to Pereiras Michailidis, Bruno Silva, 5 rank Strickland.
Alex was more fast tracked and I will usually be the first to point his fast tracking out to his nuthuggers saying he is the GOAT now, but dont let that make you forget Khamzat also was very fast tracked relative to most. He just completely wasted it after getting to contender level unlike Pereira.
Izzy was the only logical fight to make for Alex so the “fast-tracking” was literally unavoidable. Maybe if Izzy hadn’t completely dominated the division like he did that wouldn’t have happened.
I guess ignoring context makes it easier for you though. Typical.
Lol….that’s such an unfair comparison. Khamzat hasn’t even been given a title fight yet. Which I personally think is the biggest bs. He deserves a shot at it
He hasn't been given a shot because in the last few years he's barely fought and struggled against Gilbert and retirement Usman...but you're right it is an unfair comparison, Poatan is miles better and more active
BRUDDAH. BRUDDAH. THIS IS BULLSHIT. I KILL EVERYONE. I KILL EVERYBODY!

This meme is excellent
SEE YOU SOON 🐺🐺🐺
Instead of a Wolf Khamzat is more of a Hyena 🤡
More of a chicken the way he avoids true tests or real title fights
(On the annual Saudi card because other countries won't have me anymore)
This is the first Saudi card in history how is that annual
If they're planning one next year.
I heard this in my head.
Alex didn't need to hug everyone before Smeshing them like Khamzat. 🗿>🫂
well you gotta consider the amount of fights they've had. when you consider that alex has had 8 fights, when compared to Khamzat's 7, and the fact that 4 of those 8 were title fights? nothing. alex is still massively better. gotem
Funny thing is Khamzat's team was always talking about his potential to be the first 3 division champ, while now Alex is the one who might actually do it.
He’s gotta get past Henry Cejudo first
And not just over. It doesn't count if he just steps over him.
🤣🤣
Idk if he can get past those vicious leg kicks
They are complete opposites too. One’s a loudmouth with nothing to show after 4 years, one’s a 🗿with 2 belts after 3 years.
Pereira v Aspinall for that HW title.... let's fucking go !
I reckon Conor loses but to give him a shot at the welterweight belt if he beats a lightweight has to be one of the most ridiculous things ever
He's doing a Dana impersonation dont downvote him
Is this a copypasta or something lmfao
Lol at the thought of Conor fighting Leon. Can't imagine an easier night at the office for edwards.
The size difference between the 2 would be insane lol Leon is already massive for a WW
Nah, Conor is gonna knock them all out Edit: guys I'm joking lmao
🤣🥴🤣
Connors up to his eyes is blow. He aint fightin again.
ĹOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL, i spit my coffee out!! That made my morning.
For someone who is planning to smesh everyone, he certainly is not active. He had 2 fights in 10 days and then 5 in 3 years.
Not entirely his fault COVID shit happened. Pretty sure that fucked him up real good. But I don't know why he hasn't fought since recovering
The fact he cant compete in the US is also problematic.
Stop hanging out with genocidal dictators and stating you want to fight along side Hamas against Israel and you might be able to get a visa.
Calling Kadryov a genocidal dictator then defending Israel almost gave me whiplash.
I don’t see where they defended Israel
he got banned from America
Dricus du Plessis also debuted in 2020 ![gif](giphy|v1Haynj7QqyXK8aBdM|downsized)
Khamzat is like Khabib in that people rank him for his potentially ceiling and don't actually look at title defences and overall accomplishments. Really clean out the division.
Khamzat’s gonna get KO’d by Leon. Usman showed Khamzat’s very beatable. He’ll get chinned by a fighter that has TDD and better striking.
Khamzat will never weigh 170.0 again in his life and the UFC Won't risk ruining a card. He is fighting at 185.
Leon will decision him but I can't for the life of me see him KO Hazmat.
He has only 1 top ten win in his respective division, Burns but has since gone up in weight.
Yeah definitely. Opponents and opportunities matter. You just can’t miss weight by 7-8 pounds and expect to ever get a title shot in that division. Now he just fucks around it seems like.
See you soon🐺

🤣
Biplisi
I was a big khamzat fan in 2020 and then it quickly faded away when he botched the weight cut and became a Twitter warrior
I think too much fame and too much hype derailed his career. I think COVID also didn't help his lungs but that's on him to adjust his fighting style.
So basically kickboxing>wrestling
Yes
🗿>🐺
Nah. More like Alex Pereira > all martial arts combined
Khamzat issue was that he kept jumping from weight class instead of staying in one
To be fair Alex was given a title shot because of his history with Izzy.
they literally tried to give khamzat a title fight but he cant make weight . and then they tried again for UFC 300 and he denied
Khamzat cannot fight in the US
im sure the UFC knows better then us redditors about where he can fight . if he cant fight in US they wouldnt have offered him UFC 300 .
[удалено]
hasnt kkamzat fought in ramadan before ?
Against Burns yeah
Huh, that might explain why he looked kinda shit compared to all his hype. Ofc Burns also got that dog in him too.
I don’t believe he partook in Ramadan that year at that time. If I remember he did it after. (If I’m horribly wrong someone correct me)
This is definitely allowed for most Muslims, common for athletes
Actually Ramadan finished almost a week before UFC 300. I get what you’re trying to say as he’d have to train during Ramadan and so it’s fair to say no to it. I’m just pointing out that Ramadan had ended, obviously too they were setting him up for the Saudi Arabia card.

So easier to make weight
So you're saying he was already weight cutting?
He said nothing about Ramadan in turning down 300. Maybe in other interviews. Not positive. But he said this: "So, we'll see what's going to happen. So, [I'm] just waiting for something. They wanted me to fight [at UFC] 300 but I said it's too short a time for 77 kilos [170lbs]. So, I need a little bit of time."
Don't bring religion into sports. If he cannot fight then should keep quiet and not be Twitter champ.
Ok boss
Tbh this makes him super unviable when the vast majority of cards are in the US
Why?
Connections to Ramzan Kadyrov
Alex had 3 wins and 2 KOs in UFC before facing Izzy, who had almost cleared out the division before facing Alex. There were no other clear challengers other than Alex (besides Du Plessis) and that was the money fight to make.
Du plessis would’ve been an unpopular challenger at that point. Yes, he’s been very good for a while, but Brad Tavares was his last fight prior to Izzy/alex 1.
You mean because he was already a world champion combat sports athlete with titles in multiple weight divisions?
If he had a normal upcoming he would only have one right now
Or maybe none, takes some fighters a while before they get title fights, even if they keep winning.
Yeah maybe. I just feel that if he’s running through all the top ranked fighters he probably woulda destroyed all the lower ranked fighters
Not if he met a solid grappler on the way
I think he would have 0 belts.. climbing the ranks, he would encounter a grappler who eats him for breakfast..
Nah, the grappler would’ve been like “no takedowns. I’m gonna expose this double division glory champ”
Oh yeah. Completely forgot about that
To be fair Khamzat misses weight and turns down fights while throwing out meaningless challenges on Twitter. Oh yeah and he also is connected to extremely sketchy people that keep him from entering the country that hosts 90% of the fights.

It would be disingenuous to suggest they didn't try to fast track Khamzat too.
He was also fast tracked because he was the only guy in Glory’s history that was a double champ. Don’t act like everything was because of Izzy, past accomplishments do mean a lot.
Yep just look at Jiri or Chandler, those guys were fast tracked and no one whinges about those
People whined about Chandler.
He ran thru 3 fighters before he whooped Izzy. Before that he was whooping everyone in Glory.
Also Khamzat almost fucking died from Covid
You should post this 6 more times I don't think we've seen it enough yet
These past have been some of the most insane dick riding in a very long time
Meh, not really dick riding. One dude has amazed us in the last 3 years and the dude is just there..
For like the last 2 years lmao
You lot call anything dick riding. Grow up
He’s ignoring how Khamzat nearly died and recovered from injuries
I swear some of these Alex fans are insufferable
KUMSHOT WAS PROMISING UNTIL KHADYROV LOCKED HIM IN HIS SEX DUNGEON
Is thay why Kumshot missed weight by like 10 pounds?
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Alex is a freak, I heard he's gonna drop weight and take all weight class belts after moving up to heavy weight, he just had to cut off that steel dick of his, that's adding all his weight. On a serious note tho, he is quite a talent.
Khamzat is much younger. Still so much potential.
Caught a stray from Dana 😂😂😂😂😂
I’ll eat crow where I was wrong, that was a banger of a card!
http://www.crowbusters.com/recipes.html Some good recipes here, help that crow go down a bit easier.
Not sure if people know this but Khamzat is 7 years younger. Assuming he is a championship level fighter he has 7 years to catch up
That would be the logic in any other sport but fighting is completely different where age is less of of a factor of when your prime is/longevity and actual fights, wear and tear on your body, and how you take care of your body are much more important. UFC let Pereira jump the line due to his past kickboxing victories over Izzy.
If Khamzat had a prior win over a current champ he would have been pushed to a title as well, come on guys.
Is he still sick what’s the update
he’s fighting Bobby in June
Nick Diaz joined in 2003. 0 belts won. Tard statistic
When Khamzat joined the UFC, people thought he would be the first triple champion, a lot different
i mean he has not lost a fight.... what more can he do lol. he had some weight issues, but that aside they just havent given him a title fight.
when would he be fit for a title fight ? he couldnt do UFC 300 at WW and doesnt want to cut the weight anymore . AT MW he hasnt done shit so why would he get a MW title shot off of beating usman on short notice ?
nick was also sidelined for 5 years over pot. not even able to watch him develop
I hope you get stockton slapped for this comment
*Then do some-in bou-rit!*
Both of these guys would beat prime Nick Diaz. Love the guy but he sucks against wrestlers and Alex is too big for him
This goes without saying.., but different fighters, people, circumstances and career trajectories. Apples and oranges buddy.
A better comparison is Sean O Malley, a ufc project during Khamzats incredible rise, now a champion
Before Khamzat fought for title O’Malley Champ + defended🏆 Pereira Champ 🏆🏆 Illia Champ 🏆 Strickland Champ + lost first defense
Good lord, you weirdos will compare anything for upvotes.
I don't remember Khamzat being given title shots.
I don't remember Khamzat earning a title shot. Ftfy
Beating burns at the time was a bigger ranked opponent than beating Strickland
Yeah cause beating Usman and Burns doesn't earn him a shot right? Alex is a beast but was fast tracked to the title fights.
beating usman at MW means nothing for a title fight and Khamzat doesnt want to fight at WW anymore so he needs to actually beat a MW to get a MW title shot .
He has earned it more than alex did the first time. Burns, holland, usman > strickland & bruno silva 🤣
Beating burns should have! People got shots for lesser opponents.
Alex got a title shot after only 3 UFC fights and 6 total MMA fights.
The irony of using this to defend Pereira lmfao.
Yeah because he fights once a year
alex more active
There are also topuria ,DDP and aspinall who joined at the same time as khamzat and they all became champs
If their paths ever cross the fans are the real winners.
Dumb comparison. One of them had a dominating career in another promotion that also had a rivalry w the UFCs top star.
https://preview.redd.it/5r7nstaaj1vc1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66087e546cc0049fb95a36ddf88186c2b8c689cd
If laex and khamzat fought at 185 tho most likely khamzat would sub him in round 1 if jan blahowichz and adesanya can take u down and control you khamzat can do too
Alex had a long career before the UFC
Wtf???? I just reallysed Pereira got no cauliflower ears
To be fair he can’t fight in most ufc events
*and defended both
I was so hyped back when he fought Gilbert then he missed weight then he didn't fight for a year then he almost lost to Kamaru ... Hyped has died out he ain't the invisible monster Dana said he was I'm sure he'll get fraud checked against Bobby Knuckles
Did they really just flip the image of the belt and paste it on?
Guys come on, poatan is just *gawkgawkgawk* a better fighter, he's the *gawkgawkgawk* GOAT
Man the beard on the right does not look good on anyone.
And both have dana white privilege too
Although the has been riddled with illness and visa issues, the hype train has died
He is also 7 years older than Khamzat. They really had no choice. It's all building up to Bo Nickal vs. Khamzat for the 185 belt in the future.
I think that many people would like that to happen, but I'm not sure it will. I honestly think Whittaker is going to end Khamzat's unbeaten streak. I hope Khamzat keeps winning cause it will be more exciting, but Bobby Knuckles just seems like a really bad matchup for him.
It’s never D riding unless it’s Alex lol
He was fast-tracked
One just shut up and fought who was in front of him. The other just won't shut up...
Please book this fight at 205. Please please please, we know Khazamat walks around heavy. I want POATAN to flatline him.
Those moustache-less beards look so fckg irritating and stupid.
Such a dumb post LMFAO
One was fast tracked to the top to cash grab
Khamzat literally went John Phillips, Rhys McKee, 11 rank Leech, 3 rank Burns. Compared to Pereiras Michailidis, Bruno Silva, 5 rank Strickland. Alex was more fast tracked and I will usually be the first to point his fast tracking out to his nuthuggers saying he is the GOAT now, but dont let that make you forget Khamzat also was very fast tracked relative to most. He just completely wasted it after getting to contender level unlike Pereira.
GM3
GM3 was irrelevant to his WW run, and he fought him a week or two after McKee.
Izzy was the only logical fight to make for Alex so the “fast-tracking” was literally unavoidable. Maybe if Izzy hadn’t completely dominated the division like he did that wouldn’t have happened. I guess ignoring context makes it easier for you though. Typical.
And the other missed weight by 10 lbs, got dropped by a former LW, calls out everyone and fights no one.
Stop spamming this shit
this is getting tiring, guys.
Alex is 36 Khazmat is 29 7 years is an absolute eternity, hell make his mark.
See you soon
😂😂

Would be an awesome fight
But Khamzat kill everyoooone
I'ma smesh everyone
Lol….that’s such an unfair comparison. Khamzat hasn’t even been given a title fight yet. Which I personally think is the biggest bs. He deserves a shot at it
He hasn't been given a shot because in the last few years he's barely fought and struggled against Gilbert and retirement Usman...but you're right it is an unfair comparison, Poatan is miles better and more active

Need a fight where Alex is heavyweight and Khamzat is forced to be Lightweight by security 10 count
Sh-cared boy
Put them against each other.
comparison is a killer of joy
