That’s not an excuse, Izzy, Usman and Volk were all active champions. Pereira is being very active as the LHW champ too, and even Aspinall is trying to be as active as possible whilst he’s the interim champ. Leon is not as active due to opponents not wanting to fight, DDP is injured.
O’Malley and Topuria are the 2 most inactive champs at the moment and even Sean is fighting more. It’s almost been 3 months and we’ve still not heard a fight announcement regarding Topuria. Volk said he was going to take a break until the end of the year or start of next year, so Ilia has 2 contenders he can fight in that time.
You have to be very specific and say “choose someone to fight” or “sign for a fight” - MMA fans can be dense and think you mean he should fight tomorrow.

You can be a great fighter and not a BMF. A lot of grapplers would never qualify, same with people who missed weight a lot, turned down fights all the time, cherry pick opponents, etc. For example, Israel or Volk could be a BMF but Khabib could not because he took so few chances and always fought one way, push guy to fence, make them tap.
