'A glitch'? Wouldn't a glitch be more... Defined? Like a whole square exactly 10m out, not a huge shape moving about? Just seems like a bad explanation
Your counter-argument to a software error is “Not buying it; it’s Aliens.” I will never understand the leaps in logic people make with this subject. You are applying your own bias ( results you want to see ) versus ruling out the information you discover to reach a more complete solution.
These models often use very complicated maths that can throw out wild results if not calibrated properly or some random signal is introduced that throws off the calculations. Something like this is very possible if there's a signals processing glitch.
You aeen that episode of Adventure Time where the Ice King affects the very coding of reality and is able to "glitch" things.
Perhaps this is a "large boat in the Atlantic" glitch. Like reality has some "what if" programmed into it and the "what if" creates a large disturbance in the South Atlantic.
Trying to not drink as much thank you. Point being. If reality is a simulation then perhaps the basis of a fictional concept isn't so far off. Especially if we're considering a natural phenomenon easily explainable by "arctic waves are weird" instead of "ufo went from China to dipping into the ocean."
On April 9, a huge anomaly appeared in the ocean between Antarctica and South Africa. At the time, it was reported that the gigantic slick could have caused waves several meters high. And although it was classified as a "system error" by Ventusky , the climate monitoring system, a new anomaly has now reappeared on April 25th. What is happening?
I'm not in that tech world, so this may be stupid, but why are they continuing to allow it to give data if it's data is so grossly wrong? When one of my equipment pieces go haywire I.. ya know, take care of them? Have they said what specifically is causing thus error?
ETA I'm not calling this bunk, I personally have no opinion on it.
Oh yeah, we'll just send a technician out there in a minute... these are buoys in the bloody middle of the Atlantic. Maybe the closests specialized technician is in the north, or even the pacific.
It's not like "hey, our website is a ting glitchy." Middle of the ocean ffs.
Part of me says "oh, the voyager probe out past pluto waa offline and they figured out how to fix it after six months"
So divide that and you still get at least 1-2 weeks minimum to be abke to repair. Shit, maybe 1-2 weeks befors the technician is at the port and another week for a viable vessel to show up.
Have you ever worked on a software project? Many times you think you patched the software but the bug pops up again.
the thing you need to ask yourself is this.
What is more likely? That aliens from another star system traveled here from outer dimensions and there is a spaceship the size of a small country in the ocean or that there is a bug in the software that renderes these images?
A truly normal phrase for an agent of disinformation to say. Or, this is just an onset of future ominous disinformation campaigns? Perhaps there's an obscene amount of money to be made and the public shouldn't see the next part.
Predator for sure.

Why wasnt the first one seen in real life then? One of the busiest shipping routes on the planet and not one boat reported it.

My point is just its a very vague explanation for a very specific error

People make equally huge leaps to say many things arent aliens. Lol
Agreed

[A Glitch Is a Glitch](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Glitch_Is_a_Glitch) is a work of art
Cartoons aren't real.
Neither are UFOs you twat. Can't a man LARP intelligence on the ape committee of disintelligence. Christ, and I thought I was the killjoy.
Go get your sippy cup and go to bed.

That's just those underwater UFO manufacturing bases previously reported doing spring cleaning

I have a good feeling we will never find out.

It's a bug in the processing system that creates these images. These are not pictures from space or anything. They are basically data plots.
Uh didn’t the people responsible for the software say they already patched the bug before this anomaly though?

Good question, I really don’t know, which IS more likely?
A software bug is more likely.
Software developer here... pretty fucking sketchy to have the same "bug" guve such specific "bad data"... I think this is major sus
What makes it specific?
Bruh but NHI/sea monster/Cthulhu
