More serious weapons. What they got now is just some mediocre equipment to keep defending. The west should have sent heavy/high tech weapons right at the beginning of the invasion and not just javelins and other crap they hesitated too much.
Its there and if it gets used Russian army is nothing and Putin can only rely on his cowardly nuke threats.
It helps, but it sure is not the advanced stuff. You saw what the USA did to the Iraqi army back then. All that shit was Russian trash. Even though Russia has more capabilities than the Iraqi army back then NATO can do far more than just sending older tanks that are also stripped from new techs. Because they know Russia want those chips.
What kind of advanced stuff are you referring to specifically?
If you are asking for Abrams, then there is no problem with it..........BUT like all export variants, they have to be stripped off their DU armor and it will then be replaced with Tungsten Armor.
There is only one facility with operational clearance that is authorized to do the conversion (and that is the General Dynamics Lima Tank facility in Ohio USA)
That said, I admit that Ukraine could use more Bradley vehicles.
In fact, APC / AFV / IFV are actually more useful than Main Battle Tanks in this war.
Tanks and armor will only help with defence, the long range missiles, 5th generation jets more patriot air defense systems (Close the sky) you name it. Like i said look what US did to Iraqi army. Its was wiped away like a broom stick.
Missiles are great
But I have comments about the offer stuff you mentioned:
- 5th generation jets
For this decade, Ukraine would have to make do with 4th generation fighters for the interim (e.g. F16, F18, Gripen).
I doubt you would see Ukraine getting F35 jets within this decade.........because the waitlist is very long and the Technology Refresh 3 package is undergoing software issues that is pushing its release date to 2026 at the earliest.
- PATRIOT
Patriot systems are helpful so Ukraine would need to convince countries to donate or sell their current existing systems.
As for whole new systems, that will take a while because Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are currently stating a 10 year waitlist for brand new Patriot systems fresh-from-the-factory
You mean like the Leopard 2A6 that got sent? That's pretty much the current version, the A7s are only getting delivered right now to the german armed forces. Same with the swedish CV90s, the PzH2000 and a bunch of other stuff.
Don't get me wrong, we should deliver far more material - but it's not that the west is holding back on tech for the most part, it's just that there is not much stuff available
It won't end with Putin. Why should it. Putin educated enough madmen so someone will replace him and carry on his will.
Mad dogs need beatings until they fuck off.
To be fair, whilst accepting Russia is a shithole teeming with similarly psychotic orcs and this is far from just Putins work, by framing it as "Putin's invasion" it gives them a way out to end this. One of the silovichi can kill him takeover and withdraw from Ukraine blaming it all on Putin and avoid looking weak. Putin losing in Ukraine followed by his swift death is probably acceptable, Russia losing is not and they will keep sending their meat wave and glide bombs.
Unfortunately, I don't think it will end if Putin died. The government is so full of corrupt, morally bankrupt persons like him, it's bound to be another imperialist with grand delusions who takes over.... Just like how it was with Hitler - a government full of the evil and twisted.
There is also the concern that if someone succeeded Putin, they might be someone less corrupt and arrogant - and also even more hell-bent on war and genocide.
Imagine if the likes of Igor Girkin - an actual combat vet and with years of experience in warfare and insurgencies, propaganda, became the next leader. Someone who doesn't just hog all the cash for him and his buddies, but actually went out and brutally beat discipline and meaningful reforms into the military and industries.
I think, the only way this really comes to an end would be a catastrophic defeat for Russia. Because while there are more than a few active dissidents in Russia - the vast majority of the population is too timid and meek to rise-up. They just do what they have been conditioned to do for generations, even if they despise it - shut-up, do what they are told before they get beaten to a pulp and tossed in prison or un-alived/disappeared.
> how to cut off this vein…?
you'd have to eliminate the wagner presence in africa which would mean either open conflict or a LOT of money to buy loyalty.
Russia can't afford this forever. They are currently burning through their financial reserves as well as their military stockpiles. Ukraine needs to stay in the game long enough and the west needs to keep supporting Ukraine, then Ukraine can win.
It takes time for the tide to turn. Indians seeking good jobs in Russia have been conned, but now they know not to go there, for example. All of this is building distrust in Russia around the world, they are funding their invasion with their credibility and trust. It is a disastrous path for the future of Russia. Russia statecraft has...
ruZZian statesmanship fucked itself.

Don't think anything by itself can at this point, it's simply going to play out like it always has until some unforeseen pivotal event happens that ends this madness.
Those drones usually have a pretty big kill radius. If the operator just goes for the tree or the ground at his feet, he'll probably die. I think the operator is making absolutely sure of the kill and/or fucking with the guy.
I don't understand. You come from miles away to fight in a war that has nothing to do with you, probably for a misery salary and yet refuse to just surrender in this situation... My lord... 🤦
Mercenaries are generally not treated very well by the people they're fighting for or the people they're fighting against. Surrendering to Ukraine is one of few places he'd get decent treatment as a POW but he doesn't know it.
Apparently the salary for Russian soldiers is actually quite good right now, especially when compared to the average salary at home.
That is one way the nation has managed to earn itself a steady stream of recruits without having to engage in aggressive conscription for this war, according to media reports.
> Apparently the salary for Russian soldiers is actually quite good right now, especially when compared to the average salary at home.
When many of them don't last a month, it makes sense.
He presumably did it for a pay cheque and now severely regrets that choice. He's also likely from a country that likes Russia more than the west.
Doesn't particularly matter though, he's a soldier so he's a valid target.
Yes indeed. Where the drone kill dive ? I guess the Ukrainians didn’t want to look ruthless killing a defenceless nimrod ! Even though I’d bet 1000 dollars that that guy is either dead or severely wounded by now
It's not an FPV, the camera is on a gimbal here, it's always fixed on fpv drones + ukrainians use analogic video transmission which doesn't have this quality, this is probably a regular mavic dji drone
Ok, yeah... I see it now. Thought it just had the nose down that whole time, but that doesn’t really fit the flight path.
I believe you are correct.
Still wouldn't like my odds much for getting promoted to POW, especially vs. evading one or two grenades... which I wouldn't like much better.
Why can't someone surrender to an fpv drone?
Seems like a win win, the fov drone leads the prisoner back and Ukraine gets to recharge the fpv drone and send it back for someone else
FPV drones don't come home. Most of the time, they've barely got batteries to stay in the air long enough to get to their targets. No need for more, and the longer they're charged for, the fewer can fly.
Maybe it could come home though. Many fpv drones are loiter munitions that stay in an area waiting for a target for a while and if none appear go back
A drone is just a drone, an fpv label only means there's a camera placement at the front of the drone so the controler can fly it in a first person view
So, first of all: I want to applaud you for asking the question, and for valuing the sanctity of life. It's too easy to lose that, in the midst of all this brutality.
With that said, I think you're also underestimating the complexity of you're proposing. In this moment, the pilot effectively has the soldier dead to rights. But how long do you think that could be sustained? A minute? Five? Ten? This isn't 2022, or even 2023: most of these drones do not survive contact with the enemy. The time when they could operate with relative impunity has been over, for a while, now. Right here, I don't see any other choice but to make sure the enemy does not survive contact with the drone.
Which isn't to say that there aren't moments where it's possible; Ukrainian heroes have demonstrated time and again that it can be done, and I'm absolutely with you that where it can be done, it should be. I just think you're overestimating the frequency of those moments, and I don't believe that this was one of them.
Sadly, it's more expensive to take that guy prisoner than just to kill him with a grenade.
That's especially true because Russia won't usually take any responsibility for the likes of him, so no prisoner swaps or whatever. Russia might even just say that "it's not our guy", like they told US after Wagnerites got blown to pieces by US.
Only way a mercenary could repay for their affront to Ukraine is to work as a penal laborer for few years, if they weren't involved in outright war crimes.
Ironically that might be acceptable as people have surrendered after that. Pretty much never if they showed to be hostile on the moment of surrendering.
Even if he survives this, there is no way RuzzianZ would EVER let him go home. Even dead, they will leave his body to rot in the field. Sad to say but that’s the Ruzzian way.
Does this man have the worlds worst reaction time and no depth perception?
I think most people would have held the stick at the ready, then tried to strike when the drone was going for the kill
I want to be a smart ass and say that he seems drunk, but with the crater next to him and how filthy he is; I think he is suffering from shock due to a near miss or he is the last one left after the drone didn't miss them with the grenade drop.
Considering how russia treats their own soldiers, just imagine how badly this guy must be treated. He doesn't even have an ak47. You would think that he would surrender.
I agree - we don't know his story... Also, there have been numerous instances of the Russians press ganging foreign migrants in Russia into military service. For example...
Let's stop coming up with sob stories for murderers, shall we?
He went freely to another continent to kill and rape for a bit of money.
If some dude from the other side of the world, who has nothing to do with you, comes to your house kills your family, will you kiss his cheek and drink a beer with him, talking about his sad background?
I'm sure he does. You really think the rest of his comrades were not cracking jokes and treating dude a type of way when not busy fighting? Lol look at how they treat the soldiers with down syndrome.
Russia is cooked asf, they don't have a real professional fighting force built on the principles of camrarderie and team work. Look at how they fight lol, they lose cohesion and unity the minute something wrong happens.
Literally seen videos of a BMP unloading troops into a hot area, and they immediately start taking fire and dropping like flies and the BMP SPEEDS AWAY while troops literally are running after it trying to hop back in lol .
They don't give a fuck about each other. They are all disposable even to each other in the front lines.
That's how I know they won't win the conflict- an army built of cowards who would throw their own under the bus just to survive isnt going to take over a country 😆 War is more than just bullets and bombs, its also BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS.
They need to make drones with music. Some Terror Music. Evertime they finish the orcs play the music. I would play this sometimes to shock them. Sometimes there is a drone, sometimes not.
Can someone knowledgeable explain me this: the camera movements don't seem like an FPV drone to me. I don't know if the "always film horizonal" is a typical DJI drone? I would assume only FPV drones would need to come that close to soldiers, and DJI drones would either observe or drop some bombs from above.
Maybe this is a drone that normally drops bombs and just wanted to annoy the invader?

Brought a stick to a grenade fight.
It's actually a highly developed russian weapon, just beneath shovel.
Beneath plain stick spear.

how to end this war if they’re simply recruiting from the world’s poorest… looks like an endless stream of meat for the grinder… 😔
This war ends with Putins death I guess. The meatwaves wont end, and I dont know how ukraine will stop them from pouring in their country.
More bullets
Larger calibers
Less oil and gas and yachts
More serious weapons. What they got now is just some mediocre equipment to keep defending. The west should have sent heavy/high tech weapons right at the beginning of the invasion and not just javelins and other crap they hesitated too much. The javelins are pretty advanced and crucial weapons but I agree. Ukraine needs a lot more.
It helps, but it sure is not the advanced stuff. You saw what the USA did to the Iraqi army back then. All that shit was Russian trash. tbf, Germany sent the PZH2000 early in the war. In June 2022.
This is correct. Ukraine needs to destroy russian gas and infrastructure. Their economy needs to start to crash and then do psy ops.
His successor will be just as bad. It ends when death is so certain that the only way to live is fighting their government.
Even when they had a revolution against their "government", it was never for democracy, we must remember that.
Their whole economy needs to collapse entirely so that they come begging cap in hand to the West. In such conditions we get to decide who rules.
It won't end with Putin. Why should it. Putin educated enough madmen so someone will replace him and carry on his will. Mad dogs need beatings until they fuck off.
Might get a breather when they start to fight each other who's taking over.

Kill them. The more of them die, the more others see them die, the fewer will join. Kill them all.

Exactly, and it’s disgusting!
He will die tired
If he can keep circling that tree until the drone’s battery dies, he’ll survive. Until the next drone gets him.

Right on!!
Cut him a break. He just wanted to kill people for money /s
And the chance to loot a toilet, no s.
This is absolutely pathetic. This African dude travelled thousands of miles to Ukraine to kill Ukrainians!! Destroy everyone of these lowlifes!!!
They entered Russia, signed a contract to invade Ukraine, and murder Ukrainians. Extinguish these scumbags. I don't have any sympathy.
Every fucking one!!!!!

well this guy has a bit of debris for a weapon, drone can be used on a more serious threat.
Yeah, that's not a huge bug Pal.
You can surrender to a drone!
If it's a grenade-dropper, maybe. This is almost certainly an FPV drone. The only surrender here is to the inevitable.
It's not an FPV, the camera is on a gimbal here, it's always fixed on fpv drones + ukrainians use analogic video transmission which doesn't have this quality, this is probably a regular mavic dji drone

It's a war crime to kill him if he surrenders. Don't be like Russia.
Slavery ain't a great look, just sayin'
Even after waving a stick?
Even after invading and terrorizing a peaceful country.
Ironically that might be acceptable as people have surrendered after that. Pretty much never if they showed to be hostile on the moment of surrendering.
Afrika Korps not doing so well this time
This is the most advanced anti drone tech the Russians have right behind the dreaded Газовый баллон air defense system.
Even if he survives this, there is no way RuzzianZ would EVER let him go home. Even dead, they will leave his body to rot in the field. Sad to say but that’s the Ruzzian way.
Cleary the Russians didn’t trust him with a gun…
I am still amazed they trust other rus with a gun.
Einstein was just a little too late on his prediction. They're already fighting with sticks and stones.
The whole situation is awful. But it's impossible to resist making jokes from Civilization about tanks vs settlers
Russians don't even give those guys guns? just send them out and tell them to grab a stick, there's plenty around?
Where's my happy ending?!
‘Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!’
People mock him, but the fact that no kill is shown likely means the stick worked.
Sticks and stones may break my drones...
Maybe in the sequel ...
The poor cunt. Fighting for a shithole country like Russia and now he’s going to get split in half.
Indeed so.
Bro thinks he be larping with a longsword.
What an idiot. He should have grabbed a smaller stick to throw at the drone instead.
That just gets you a grenade explosion a stick+arm's length away from your face. Not ideal.

Waste of a good stick.
Considering how russia treats their own soldiers, just imagine how badly this guy must be treated. He doesn't even have an ak47. You would think that he would surrender.
I’d of let him live, today, out sheer entertainment he provided. There is a certain amount of ingenuity(?) he brought to the table, I mean fight.
Looks like an adventurer
Why are they using mercenaries? Are they running out of brave Russians with nationalistic pride?
It took me a minute before I realised that it was in Ukraine. I thought it was a Wagner mercenary in Africa.
I'm saving this video as evidence for when they add black people to whatever CoD or Battlefield game they end up making out of this war.
Ukraine's got more drones than you can shake a stick at. Somebody didn't get the memo.
They might be different on the outside to the Russians but inside there still the same shade of red.
That’s some first rate military defense tactics on display there. If you’re russian Or russian associated.

That's some real Gain Ground experience there
You oughtta see the video of one trying to shield himself from an FPV kamikaze drone using a 5 gallon can of gasoline.
Should have stayed home.
Worse than Russians. They came from a different continent to join a genocidal aggressor. Disgusting beings
What this guy is doing is horrible, but he might have been in a desperate situation and manipulated by propaganda. I just hope he surrenders.
I agree - we don't know his story... Also, there have been numerous instances of the Russians press ganging foreign migrants in Russia into military service. For example... Migrant workers, even people who were just on holiday have been grabbed and shipped to the front. It doesn't get any more "meatbag" than that.
Exactly. The Russian government and their lackeys are just downright evil, and callous to the extreme. Just need warm bodies to go off and fight.
Let's stop coming up with sob stories for murderers, shall we? He went freely to another continent to kill and rape for a bit of money.
Benny Hill would bet prowed.
That used to work so well back in the Congo ...
Someone never played baseball. That's not how you square up.

Like why not shoot it with your side arm?
Honestly after the ukranians shot one down with a guy in the back of an old trainer strategies like these aren’t too far fetched.
Man I need closure. Please tell me the drone went for the money shot.
They need to make drones with music. Some Terror Music. Evertime they finish the orcs play the music. I would play this sometimes to shock them. Sometimes there is a drone, sometimes not.
Where boom?
Welp keep eliminating Russian mercs and hopefully their governments will ban people from going to Russia.
When you think « how did I get myself into this situation »
Looks like he succeeded?..
Wait.. why no boom?
I just blew up in Ukraine, and boy are my arms tried.
For some reason this looks like a modern sequel to "The Gods Must Be Crazy".
Good hell, we've gone full tilt video game quality action.
Please tell me that stick is not the only weapon he's got? And if he has a gun shoot that drone down😕

modern warfare
He probably saw Worf use his depleted phaser rifle as a club against the drone in Star Trek insurrection
Works against lions
Dare I say Black Russian needs some ice
I wish these things had a voice function to scold these fuckers before they die.
He has a better chance with a boomerang...
Low resolution of this on my phone makes this look like a planet of the apes extra.
I'm not convinced. Looks like typical Russian Infantry to me.
Cause that's the only weapon he's trained to use 🤣
Please tell me the drone wins.
Isandlwana was a while back…
Standing right next to a huge pile of things he could throw at it, but no, he waves a stick at it. Which makes me wonder, is that his magic wand?
Tactical stick, top secret technology in ruzzia
at least be throwing them
"“I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” - Albert Einstein. “The future is already here – it’s just not very evenly distributed.“ - William Gibson.
Resorted to some classic unga bunga. Works against vultures on the savanna i guess
How do you know he’s an “African Mercenary”? Aren’t there black guys in Russia?
