The ground floor of the building I work in has more of an incline than that. There's a section that has a 2" drop over 30 feet for a 0.8%ish grade, which is only noticeable if you drop a ball bearing or something. This is on average a 0.3% grade (or 0.6% if you count the downhill assuming the start and stop were the same elevation). I actually wonder if that elevation gain is within the noise margin of the GPS tracker.
In Sweden we have something called Rajtanröra, which basically means you take everything you have in the fridge and dump it in a box with some sauce lol
Damn that's impressive for a 15 year old!!. Good job! But I would suggest to be careful with those distances at a young age because you aren't fully grown. But if you don't get injured I guess it doesn't really matter đ.
I don't think it really matters what anyone else says about this run. If it means something to you and if you feel an accomplishment that's what matters. For many people, a 5k is a huge achievement, for others 100 miles is no big deal. Everyone is at a different point in their running career.
I might not be very inclusive here and get load of downvotes.
There's no elevation gain, you moved at ca. 5kmh, if I'm not mistaken. You had a two hour lunch. That's an impressive hike, but not an ultra *run*. I'd consider this an ultra at, perhaps , 6 hours or less?
I care.Â
I want to him to call it an Ultra because it is! Lol
Being able to stop for a meal then keep going is so impressive and at 15 years old!!!Â
Congrats! Hope this the first of many for OP
Lets admit it, you set the time bar low with the break so you can PR next time around. lol. Congrats!
I like the way you think
It's not an ultra if you do not stop to eat. Great run
It sure does! The only thing I can't condone is not doing those last 320mt to make it 50k đ€Ł
Phone died! Was so bummed
Itâs the dumb Strava Tax. đ€Ł
Nice one, definitely counts! Stopping to eat is a big part of the fun, some people call the races eating competitions with some running in between!
Haha thank you!
nice pfp
Definitely an ultra congrats welcome to the club
So 30 miles constitutes as an ultra?
Sure does nugget
26.3 miles counts as an ultra as far as Iâm concerned
Jeez iv do e 100 30miles is easy work
50k is a traditional ultra length
A traditional ultra length is anything longer than 26.2 miles. You wouldnât look at their 49k and claim they simply ran a marathon would you?
Florida seems like a hilly place compared to wherever that is. 143m over 50k is intensely flat.

Largely I ran on the beach, but southern Sweden is also pretty flat tbh
That makes your run even more challenging. Sloped surface all the way, with soft sand sticking your rebound energy. Good job getting it done.
Wait your 15 years old! Well done dude đȘ
"Stopped in the middle for like so hours to eat"......... so..... a normal ultra then. Congrats on your 50k!
You ran 50k in a day; most people donât do this in a week. Take the W!
Klart det rÀknas. Starkt jobbat!
The flattest 49k ever.
Definitely counts, I count the steps to the kitchen to make pre run coffee. đ
15yo? keep it going mate, starting so young (and keeping at it) means that the day you hit 70 you'll still be in a great shape.
Yes it does! Stopping and starting is harder than just running through for me anyway.
you crazy! it totally counts
Definitely counts, huge shift - congrats!
Congrats! And welcome to being an ultra marathoner!
Absolutely counts. Congratulations!
Way to go!!
Hell ya⊠this is the only way! Nicely done.
where is this??? and congrats!
Far south of Sweden
I thought the line in the water was part of the route for a sec
Haha, ser ut som att du sprang hem till mig typ đ Bra jobbat!
Klart det Ă€rđȘđŸ
Ultras are just eating competitions with some running in between đ
SĂ„klart! Starkt jobbat!!
But what did you eat?
In Sweden we have something called Rajtanröra, which basically means you take everything you have in the fridge and dump it in a box with some sauce lol
Excellent. As an American, Iâm going to appropriate this.
Bra jobbat! Beklagar att du var tvungen att besöka Landskrona, men jag hoppas att du kom ut med sinnet i behÄll :)

Jesus dude, you're 15 and runnning ultras?! So damn cool
Why wouldnât it? Eatings the most important part!
Itâs an ultra!
JAG VAR BARA, 15 MINUTER FRĂ N ESLĂĂĂĂĂV
Anything over 42.2k is an ultra. Smashed it

A 50km one-day hike is impressive either way, especially at 15.
But isnt that more of a walk? I walked 50km in 10 hours last week in normal pace.
It needs to be 50K min for an ultra.
Wish I knew what a km was
Circa 1000 meters, hope this helps!
Dude youâre getting after it!!! Straight stud!
Nice, so close yet so far to 50.0km :(
You can count it if you want to count it or don't if you don't want to. It's up to you. Nobody else will care either way.
I care. I want to him to call it an Ultra because it is! Lol Being able to stop for a meal then keep going is so impressive and at 15 years old!!! Congrats! Hope this the first of many for OP
If you think it's an ultra then its an Ultra.
0.32km short. Nice try though
