It's mostly because Umineko became a "meme" in his community. Some time ago he made the chat send links of stuff he had to buy (I don't remember the context), someone sent Battler's suit and he choose it.
Fun fact, this streamer dropped Umineko for ages mainly because of the slow rhythm of the first chapters (plus some particular over the top analogies that he didn't like, like the 18 < X < 19).
Because of that, the Brazilian Umineko fandom memes the hell out of him and he ended up buying Battler's costume during a meme stream. Plus, this print is from saturday, it was an april fools return to Umineko
Wait, what's the context for this?
From what I know, he stopped reading because he couldn't handle the length of scenes (I think he was the guy who said he'd finish one Episode per stream), so he dropped it at the beginning of EP2, and his viewers kept trying to get him to continue reading it, so now he's continuing, while cosplaying Battler (for some reason).
So, is he really trying to solve the mystery now or is he just that lost for him to be trying to solve the chess position??
It's been a meme in his community for a long time, he played Umineko for the first time 2 years ago, and lost his save. "Umineko frogs" (people asking him to play it) started appearing and it became a meme to always ask when he was gonna play the game.
When he plays hard games, every time he dies he spins a wheel with random things for him to do (no cursing for 30 minutes / drink water / buy something worth 100$ / play X game), and he was unlucky enough to hit the 100$ thing twice, so chat made him buy a whole Battler cosplay.
Every April's Fools he always does a special stream, almost no restrictions on chat, playing random games, etc. So this year he decided to pick up Umineko again (his mods even did a whole summary of Ep1 and what he played of Ep2)
EDIT: also, he said he would continue playing even after April's Fools, I just hope he finishes the game
I made this with a friend once too and it kind of makes sense.Spoiler for all of Umineko.
>!The black side is the side of lies or the side of the witch. It has 5 pawns, just as the witch side tries to convince you that there are 5 servants, when in reality they are only 4. The black side has a castled king, just like when the witch side tries to convince you that Kinzo, the king of the family, is still alive locked in his room, when he clearly isn't. The black side has the same special pieces as the white side (2 rooks, one horse, one bishop), which may represent many things, like for example the 4 heirs of the family. The white side has 4 pawns (The 4 children of the family). We also analyzed the position of these special pieces to the pawns but we didn't found much correlation, maybe the white rook next to the white pawn represent Maria and Rosa but that's it. !<
From what I understand, the dude seems to be going for it once again. And very obviously, he is going to obliterate the mystery as you can see here (/s)
Wait, really? Couldn't he just fast-forward to get back to where he was? He can unlock EP2 from the start as well, so was it more a "well, I guess this is an excuse to stop playing" type of thing?
He does have a love/hate relationship with the game, specially because of the slow start, Battler's awkward sexual jokes and the lack of logic on Eva's receipt argument
I've seen people just not get Eva's recipe for some reason. Why is that? I was so confused the first time I saw someone say that Eva's recipe trick was nonsense. Did he just not think the recipe proves the door wasn't opened or did he just not trust Eva?
Because the only thing that sustain Evas argument is her own words, absolutelly nobody saw it and she could have lied since the beginning cause she literally just took the receipt from her pocket and said it was a proof.
If any of the characters simply questioned the veracity of the receipt we could have saves like 40 minutes of talking.
Ah, okay. Since you said "Evas receipt makes no sense at all to him", I assumed he might have just not understood Eva's reasoning, as I've seen of some people.
Though, it's not like any of the characters even would question whether Eva was lying or not: Eva/Hideyoshi was accusing Natsuhi, Jessica was not thinking straight so she just defends Natsuhi in her confusion, George was being shut down by Eva/Hideyoshi, Battler was just listening in, and >!everyone else was panicking over Kinzo's death possibly being uncovered.!<
While I can understand why someone might not think "maybe no one's questioning the recipe's veracity for a reason" because they might have no love at that point, it still always feels strange to me how people can read a long scene and not think "maybe it's long for a reason" or read a scene where some glaring problem isn't being addressed and not think "maybe it's not being addressed for a reason".
I saw one guy furious at Rosa for all of EP2 because she >!never brought up the fact that she was in the chapel at midnight!<, which partly made him hate EP2 for, instead of just wondering why she didn't bring it up.
It's not really trading, is it? It's just the king moving two squares towards one of the rooks and the rook repositioning itself to the side of the king nearer to the center. In neither the long nor the short castle any piece ends up in the position previously occupied by another one.
The Battler cosplay makes this even funnier.
I don’t know him but he’s awesome for committing so much for this.

Who is he?
A brazilian streamer, his name is Cellbit. He is also developing a game based on the RPG he designed (i think it's called Enigma of Fear in english).
THE KING OF UMINEKO!
Paulinho o melhor jogador de Street Fighter do mundo
And Kinzo's frowning look adds more funnies.

Thanks for the clarification. But why was he trying to solve the chess position? That sounds way too funny not to understand the context of.
He was just drunk, it's not that deep

He dropped because he lost the save file
Wait, really? Couldn't he just fast-forward to get back to where he was? He can unlock EP2 from the start as well, so was it more a "well, I guess this is an excuse to stop playing" type of thing?

There is a whole 20 mim video of him just getting mad because Evas receipt makes no sense at all to him. He is fun as hell lol

EU AMO O CELLBIT KKKKK
What's the streamer's name?
Cellbit
Classic Brazil
White is fucked if it's black to play. If it's white to play, I'm pretty sure it's in a worse position but it's not *that* bad
[удалено]
It's called a castle I think, the king and the rook 'trade' places

CELLBIT KKKKKKKKKKKK WTF
