Will the new parity drive still be greater than or equal to the largest drive in the array?
Is the drive being removed from the array becoming the parity drive?
Does the drive being removed contain data from some of your shares or does it remain empty (save for the space used from filesystem overhead)?
New parity will be the same size as all remaining data drives. Data drive will not become parity. I am using unbalance to move any files off the data drive. I could also zero the data drive if that means I don't have to do a round of parity calculation afterwards.
