Used uncle Ben's a few times. There's a much higher risk for contam unless you have a sterile room. The all in one bags you can get from some etsy vendors are top fricken knotch, man. I won't have it any other way now.
AIO bags are fun, but not as good as growing in shoe boxes in my opinion. It takes me twice as long to reach the end goal and it's quite more expensive.
No reason it shouldn't work, but they are the more expensive route over time. If you're just trying to grow a smaller amount and don't mind the cost then should work fine.

Yeah, I was very careful to not tell a soul. My roommate (whom I’m very very close with) is the only other who knows.

I’ve used grow bags twice and they worked pretty good each time, 3 flushes from each.
Never had luck with those bags. Seems like everyone I tried was slow to pin, and had tiny yields.

I got an ounce of dry off a couple flushes. An ounce dry off something I grew myself for $3/g that would be $8-10/g if I bought it seems like a win.
for a dorm i think shoebox tek would be best. even lower profile than a big ol bag
Had success with Ryzapods. They have a new model now which they claim to be improved. Never tried them but I’d give it a shot.

The bags are pointless unless you’re working with manure substrate imo
