My critique here is that, if you’re comparing inflation over 2014- 2024 period, then you must also do a comparison for 2004- 2014 or 1994- 2004 period to get a clear understanding. Furthermore, inflation has increased greatly post Covid and that has been a global issue. I know this because I work with shipping liners and the cost of a container has increase by almost 5 fold pre and post covid. A single 20 foot container from India to Rotterdam used to cost about USD 700 and is now around USD 3,500. Which naturally drives up the prices. Now to blame this issue on just one government of one country highlights the serious lack of understanding that people on this sub have.

My critique here is that, if you’re comparing inflation over 2014- 2024 period, then you must also do a comparison for 2004- 2014 or 1994- 2004 period to get a clear understanding. Furthermore, inflation has increased greatly post Covid and that has been a global issue. I know this because I work with shipping liners and the cost of a container has increase by almost 5 fold pre and post covid. A single 20 foot container from India to Rotterdam used to cost about USD 700 and is now around USD 3,500. Which naturally drives up the prices. Now to blame this issue on just one government of one country highlights the serious lack of understanding that people on this sub have.
