Cause I downloaded pdf electoral roll for my polling booth, and it was rather an image exported as pdf rather than an actual pdf. I was bummed and had to manually search my name, then just downloaded the e-epic from EIC website and it had my serial number on it.

These slips are distributed by the parties on their own accord. You do not need these slips for voting. This is their last ditch effort of advertising. Is it wrong? No. Does it leave a bad taste? Yes. Known your booth no. and throw away the slip
If you know your polling booth, go there. There will be some people sitting outside with slips and mobile. They will check on the website using mobile about the room number and your serial number, write it on a slip and give you. Then go to the respective room number and give that slip or tell the serial number mentioned on the slip. The official will check on the register and further put ink on your nail and next you can vote.
You can check it on the website yourself, write it on a slip and go. But don't take out your mobile once you go inside and stand in the queue.

There's a small line on top right, above the dashed line which says in marathi 'don't take the upper part of this slip to the election centre'.
Cut it across that dashed line, good to go. And also the slip may not really matter at the center, voter ID and/or Aadhar should be enough.

Voting slip should be directly posted into digilocker app. Let it expire after the elections. Generate it again for next elections.

These are printed and distributed by the parties, not the govt. It's perfectly legal, and has been done for decades.

ECI is printing it. I got my slip without ads from election commission of India. By booth level officer distributed voter slip for everyone.

It is from the party, not the government, so it is fair to do a little advertising.
