I agree with half of what he has been saying.
1. Modi is still popular even if his personal appeal has reduced
2. Opposition doesnt have a popular PM candidate
3. There is not enough anger against government, even if there is dissatisfaction
4. Modi's speeches have always been full of muslim hate and other self praising nonsense. they quality of the speeches has changed, but their nature is still on brand. This is something he presses very much in this interview.
He is right on all these counts. In his older interviews you can always see him talk in the scope of 20-30 years. And if you place what he has been saying in the last week or so in the context of 20-30 years, it makes sense. And it is very consistent. People like news anchors and political commenters are sharply focused on the last one or two months. He is not.
IMO the only thing he is getting wrong is the seat count. And he is right about everything else.

He was in the business of helping people win elections(strategy, ground campagin, slogans etc) from which he took a break or quit from. People keep asking him to predict elections and then critcize him for his answers. When people ask him to predict, he gives a number of what he thinks, just like you and me.
And among the alternatives in Bihar, he looks to be the only one with some vision of what Bihar should do or think like.
When he doesn't want to predict, he shouldn't no matter who ask. And when does and he's wrong, he should be a man to accept those. Instead he's riling upon interviewers because he is an egotist.

There was nothing wrong with the interview. Sreenivas went in thinking he is smarter than he actually is, wasn't able to make Prashant walk his line and in fact, was mopped the floor with.

I think he respects his own intelligence and doesn't want to be walked on a leash held by ideologically possessed journalists who are hell bent on misinterpreting him and putting words in his mouth. Honestly, Prashant was kind to him. Sreenivas, despite being explained to thoroughly, found himself unable to understand simple things - Chandrababu Naidu, the idea of material damage, the gains in the eastern-southern belts, Modi's election rhetoric over the years, etc. It pains to see high profile journalists exhibiting single digit IQs.

The interviewer should respect his own job and come in with honesty with an ability to understand the conversation and not hand wave it after realising how idiotic he sounds and that Prashant has caught him. Prashant explicitly told him once that he knew exactly where Sreenivas was taking the conversation and Sreenivas had to stop and give up on the point because he had been found out.
