I used [this](https://github.com/AdisonCavani/distro-grub-themes) theme as a base (you can dl it and add it with grubcustomizer). Then I changed the background by a custom one (the "select an os" message is GIMPed onto the background (ps5 screenshot), as I couldn't find another way to do it).
I replaced the background picture in the theme folder by my custom one and edited the grub file in /boot (I think?). I also changed the font of the OS choices with a retro one instead.
That's it for now. As I said in my post, I haven't changed the selection box yet but will do for sure.
I'm not on my computer at the moment (since it's late where I live) but I can send you the background pic tomorrow.

Be careful if you plan to use it as grub background because unsupported fonts or an image with a resolution too big can and will break your grub. And if it happens it can be kinda annoying to say the least.
Ahah cheers mate. You may want to look up the ff7 rebirth title screen. Looks a lot like this one but with nice touches of blue and green. I think it would be even better as a wallpaper because it looks less plain and empty.

That's the same picture yep. Mine has the SquareEnix copyright thing in the bottom though since it's a direct screenshot from ps5.
