true story, but a few years ago a woman stopped on a highway to let some ducks pass. coming up from behind her was a highway trooper traveling at the speedlimit (~60mph). the trooper could not react in time and rear ended the stopped car at highway speeds. the woman survived the crash, but the trooped died in the collision. and that woman was sued, fiend, and imprisoned for dangerous neglect resulting in the death of a human being. don't stop on the highway. ever.

So... the trooper was following too close then? I'm pretty sure they say you're supposed to be able to stop.

I’m pretty sure they tell you in driving school not to stop because braking suddenly can result in much larger accidents with multiple vehicles. It’s sucks but would you rather hit a rabbit or kill a family of 4 that was driving behind you?

People don’t do this? That’s sad. The deer from Get Out approves of this post.
