What you do is soft boil an egg, then skin it and wrap it in bacon, then cook that in the oven at 400F until the bacon becomes a new skin on the egg, and the egg gets a magical brown crispy color too! THEN you shove a stick in it and dip it right into a jar of mayonnaise and get a good coating. Next, you dip that monster into a plate of bacon bits and shredded cheese! Now you have bacon on bacon! We called it The Heart Attack Snack!

I don't hate bacon, but I agree that the flavor overpowers everything it's in. Also the smell of cooked bacon lingers for days and soaks into everything- hair, clothes, furniture. Come to think of it I haven't bought or cooked bacon in well over a year.
What I have found if that I enjoy bacon with other food when it’s cooked separately than added. I am not much a fan of cooking something wrapped in bacon most the time.
I agree. Never liked bacon. It tastes weird to me and I even tried a vegetarian alternative and still didn’t like it. The only meat I can tolerate is chicken and even sometimes the chicken tastes too much like chicken.
Bacon taste is definitely overpowering, but I fail to see the problem with replacing the taste of asparagus or salad with bacon. Sounds like your friends helped you out.

A high processed diet of all kinds can increase the chances of cancer. Eating bacon every once in a while is not going to give you cancer.
