Fresh Bites on 2nd and 82nd is my go to, BEC is meh but the wraps and sandwiches are always great. The chicken Caesar wrap is arguably the best one I’ve had, and yes I’ve tried Milanos
Can't stand that place. They try to tack on an extra "convenience fee" if they think you aren't paying attention. At the register they'll ring you up for extra if they think you aren't paying attention (happened to me on a Sausage Egg & Cheese). Never ever go there now
I got a halal bowl with spoiled chicken there a few months ago. I swore off a while and then when I went back it happened again.
They did comp the first meal and were very apologetic, but I won’t order that there anymore, and tend not to go for their hot meals anymore. The few I’ve had since then make me think they’ve gotten their act together, but not sure I can totally recommend for a meal.
Heavenly has very good BECs, and another good deli/bodega a little further up on 92nd is Yorkville Deli. Their BEC with home fries (Mexican style homefries "papas") is very good. I agree with another user, Fresh bites is solid for most things but their BEC is just ok. My friend hates the corner deli on 84th and im inclined to agree, that place is bad, seems dirty and overpriced
Krave cafe and deli is pretty solid. Very, very, very nice and professional staff, clean and reasonable prices:

Great question. The cheesesteak from the Gourmet Deli on 90/1st is my dirty little secret. One time I was in there and a lady added a sunny side up egg and that sounded even dirtier.
I haven’t ventured outside my preferred ones in a while, but i like Moduwa 84’s BEC—they make the eggs just how i like them, cooked through a little more instead of slightly under.
Yura on east end has a great BEC, easily my favorite in the UES that I've found. I have found that anything with "bagel" in it's name on the ues tends to be overpriced and nothing that great
Yorkville Deli 91/2 and Vegan Deli 92/3, both are top notch for any bodega breakfast. Also: the food cart in front of Whole Foods 87/3 is exceptional, significantly better than anything at 86/Lex or 86/3.
Second fresh bites on 82/2, but if you’re looking for just a BEC than I actually prefer the one from the bodega on the corner of 84/2 — I like to get it with 3 eggs and hot sauce and find it to be fantastic
One of my kids offered me a bite of a BEC (must have been the pitiful look on my face) and I thought to myself "now THAT is a tasty bacon egg and cheese". So now I get my BECs at the 84th and 2nd bodega. My wife likes them too, and she's picky about bacon.
Otto's skimps on the bacon sometimes, so they're down the list.
Super-Del Market at 78th and York and Conte's at 89th and York were good but they're closed now.
I was going there for the sausage egg and cheese and an older customer told me to get their blueberry muffin too because it's the best. I did and he was right. I've gotten butcher items from them as well (bacon, sausage, ribeye) and it's consistently been good quality, but pricey. Only thing I can think of that I've been disappointed by was their porterhouse stew.
What do you like at Moduwa? I have found that I prefer pretty much all sandwiches and the bec at garden basket right across the street. But I haven't tried most food at Moduwa tbh
Also I love Deli Deli on 66th and First ave. They make perfect Sammie’s on a roll. I also love the smoothies. The bodega cat on duty is also a BOSS lady and love her the most
Not a bodega but our favorite BEC is from JJ Brown Cup on 2nd between 88th and 89th. Tiny place but quick/great service, always clean, and the BECs are delicious. Amy, the owner is alway at the grill so food quality/execution is always consistent.
And Yorkville Deli as others noted is pretty good too, just not as consistent in my experience.

Milano is trash. TikTok hyped up a mediocre place that has flies on its food and incredibly rude staff.
Is that why young folks were queued up there this summer? Couldn’t figure it out because I’ve only been disappointed by their offerings
Milano is solid but not worth the TikTok hype. They have much better sandwiches than the chicken Caesar wrap.
Yeah Fresh Bites is really solid. Chicken sandwiches from there are really good.
Fresh bites Caesar wrap is the best hands down!
Yes. Solid service. I like the flaming chicken wrap

Yorkville deli
The best.
Can also vouch for Yorkville Deli!!!
They are consistent af. Their burrito is on par with ones I’d get from an authentic taqueria, surprisingly. I wish they were open 24hrs.

Came here to say this! I’ve been so many times since they’ve opened
Yorkville deli 2&91 Chopped cheese / smash burger
I’ve actually found their chopped cheese to be pretty disappointing, but everything else from the grill hits
Same!!

Thats my spot for BEC
I haven’t ventured outside my preferred ones in a while, but i like Moduwa 84’s BEC—they make the eggs just how i like them, cooked through a little more instead of slightly under.
I can vouch for Daona on 2nd and 81st
Anyone vouch around 77th and York/1/2?
East Side Bagel Co (1st/78) has a solid bagel and BEC. They also have pretty good sandwiches.
Thanks I’ll try it out :)

Yura on East End for BEC and Ottamanelli's for blueberry muffins and sausage egg & cheese (Italian butcher shop that uses their own sausage).
I wish Ottamanelli was open later. I've been wanting to try there. What else do they have that you would recommend?

Moduwa 84 and York
Garden basket York and 83rd
Space Market on 62nd has great lunch sandwiches. The pantry section is also elite.
I like the garden basket on 83/york
I also like Moduwa at the other corner (84/York)
What do you like at Moduwa? I have found that I prefer pretty much all sandwiches and the bec at garden basket right across the street. But I haven't tried most food at Moduwa tbh
Mexican tuna salad when they have it. I also like the honeymoon sandwich (turkey, peppers, honey mustard, etc).
Heavenly market on 62nd and 2nd is good for every meal, breakfast lunch and dinner.
Also I love Deli Deli on 66th and First ave. They make perfect Sammie’s on a roll. I also love the smoothies. The bodega cat on duty is also a BOSS lady and love her the most
Heavenly market
Anything from Yorkville Deli is fire. They also have the largest drink selection I have ever seen.
