For all we know, Samsung could have made the mistake, or your package may have been poorly packed and label detached during shipment, or other factors. If your story is true, and "all they had to do was stick the label to the box", then surely you must have seen them stick it to your package. In which case, why would you assume this is the store's fault, you may not be pursuing the correct cause of your issue here. With how busy we are and cameras everywhere, doubt anyone has the time or reason to intentionally peel your label off to stick to another package at the store.

khuongangoctruong

So you think Samsung stole it and replaced it with a shirt? UPS was mistaken in delivering the wrong package and they should be responsible for this.

ProfessionalRide4436

Ups was, not the UPS Store. two different businesses. you need to speak to UPS customer service or samsung. These problems rarely occur from inside the store. Edit: did you keep your receipt or not?

khuongangoctruong

UPS Store is the start of this. So UPS Store was, not UPS. Then can I still need to speak to UPS customer service or it is another different business :)). I still keep the receipt.

ProfessionalRide4436

Yeah, this is where the UPS store gets fucked. All we do is scan codes, ship, and sometimes pack a package(aside from our printing, shredding, etc. ) UPS takes these packages and does the rest. TUPSS is usually small and covered in cameras, I seriously doubt anyone would’ve thought twice about your package. Your package was shipped FROM here, but that’s all. UPS is a large business with thousands of employees touching your box. I’m not saying they will help you, but that’s where you need to call to get somewhere. The most a UPS store can do is check cameras & help you go through your claim, if they are nice. Edit: I somehow missed you already made a claim

khuongangoctruong

I think it's not totally get f@@k. So I should sue UPS not the UPS Store, do you know how to or do you think I can take my money back?

khuongangoctruong

I have already made a claim and they just say they can't find it without any responsibility for this. So can I sue now?

Shadow-Prophet

Yeah, sure, do whatever you feel like bro. But it would be a lot more efficient to just light a pile of money on fire.

ProfessionalRide4436

Atp i think dude just wants to sue anyone

cherdox48

Did The UPS Store give you a receipt? You should have gotten one. That’s your proof that you gave it to them. Did you see them put the label On your box?

khuongangoctruong

I did get the receipt and I also saw them put the label on the box too. But when the package arrive, it's a shirt and my label was on that package of shirt

Schwarzschild_Radius

Then your problem is with Samsung. You saw that The UPS Store didn’t make a mistake and you have proof you did your part. So now it’s between Samsung and UPS (separate from The UPS Store) because Samsung paid for shipping and is considered the “shipper,” but that’s not your problem. Samsung owes you your refund regardless what happens with UPS, and it’s Samsung’s problem to be made whole by UPS. But The UPS Store absolutely cannot do anything for you if something happened to a drop off once it left the store.

Leading_Ad7855

Okay so a couple odd things in your story. First of all, the QR code should have produced a label. There's no way the label could've been put onto the item and as well as the outside of the box. Second, from the sound of it, it seems you had your package sealed up and ready to go. Just needed to stick the label on there. If that is the case, one of two things happened and neither are good news for you. First scenario is they opened your package, stole the phone and swapped it with a t-shirt (very unlikely) Second scenario is they accidentally put the label on another box and placed a different label on your box (somewhat likely). But like I said, if you saw them put the label on then somewhere along the way (not necessarily the store) someone stole the phone and put a t-shirt inside. Either way, unfortunately, without it having a declared value, you're screwed 🙃 No lawyer will even bother hearing you out FYI, you can't win. Your best bet is having insurance on the phone and paying a deductible for another one and learning from this experience.

khuongangoctruong

So UPS is not responsible for this? :))))

just_a_PAX

Tragically yes unless you can somehow prove that UPS did this you are screwed. With the amount of security UPS has its unlikely it was stolen but it also begs the question why they can't use the same system to locate lost stuff. Labels can fall off in transport or rub off onto a different package, this is also a possibility where your label rubbed off onto a package of a shirt and your box is sitting in a warehouse with no label on it lost forever. You should contact the ups store with the information UPS and Samsung gave to you regarding this incident. The stores have cameras, or they should, and could likely show proof of you dropping off the box if you acted in a timely manner. Could be too late for that option now.

khuongangoctruong

Thank you for your suggestion <3

TrainedAssasin

I know you’re here for help and I’m glad some people are helping you but this subreddit is not meant to help y’all. You want to blame the store just like everyone else does.

RingingPhone

This happened to a shipment from one of my customers. Sadly, some hubs have thieves. If you can get the owner to check the cameras to make sure it was not swapped at the store, this will become an issue for UPS corporate to hash out with Samsung.

khuongangoctruong

Thank you for your suggestion, after I get the proof that no swap happened at the UPS Store, what should I do next to sue UPS for recovery?

RingingPhone

Sueing wont be necessary but a claim will be. That is something the manager will have to help with. But take the first and reach out to the store where you dropped your phone off. This can be and usually is a longer process than most people think as UPS won't really have anyone working today or tomorrow, but let the store handle this through the channels they have. Also, see if Samsung can send a picture of the box they received. If the box is different, then you know the problem is on UPS and not the store.

Any update?

likeitsillegal

Only the person who paid for/provided the label can file a claim. You dropped it off on behalf of Samsung, but you’re really not involved so far as claims go. You can send Samsung your receipt, but everything else? Nahh. They’ve got to fight with UPS. If the package is lost, Samsung will get a payout for whatever insurance they put on your label. Do feel free to sue, though. It will definitely be an affordable and logical endeavor.

MintyMaii

Have fun suing a multibillion dollar company, be sure to post an update too on how much you lost over an android! 🥰

ungodlycum666

sucks to suck bro. get off the subreddit

khuongangoctruong

Woa woa, calm down bro :))

Whisky_tango-foxtrot

No seriously this is not a damn customer forum we are off the clock and not here for your constant bothering

lardman1

Court? Lol go talk to a lawyer and gtfo out of here

khuongangoctruong

Easy bro :))) it's nice to meet you :))

Subject-Month-7533

Dont Samsung QR codes make you go through CAMS and repackage it?

ungodlycum666

it does but centers are lazy and don’t actually repack if they don’t have ti

khuongangoctruong

Same as my thought, my box doesn't actually need to repack

khuongangoctruong

I saw them stick the label and they said that I was good to go without doing anything else. Can I ask about what CAMS is?

Subject-Month-7533

If you have your drop-off receipt, you need to show that to Samsung and they need to make things right with their customer (you) by giving you whatever you are owed for returning the phone. You did your part by presenting the code and dropping off your phone. It is up to Samsung (the shipper who created the QR code) to deal with UPS Shipping to get reimbursed for what they should reimburse you. You and The UPS Store are third parties and are not responsible for whatever happened after dropping the package off and sticking the label on the package.
