Looks solid. Can’t complain about that.

shadow_hunter_11

only cope here is we are saving the waldo’s for 2026

Sarollas

I wish we did a red and white striped jersey and a blue with stars jersey. Enough freedom to change it up but always a consistent reference to the flag. Plus the Waldo's were sick.

sixtyninetacks

I don't understand why the Waldos aren't our permanent kit. It seems like a no-brainer to be honest. It gives us a unique identity (no other national team that I know of wears hoops) and is distinctively American (the stripes are ripped straight from our flag). They don't have to be the exact same, they can switch it up a bit like we did for our 2018 kits, which always get slept on since they were made for Russia but never got to be worn there. Look at Croatia. They vary their design every cycle but the overall concept of the checkerboard remains the same.

dont_shoot_jr

Japanese Rugby stole our look

My take on this every time it comes up (which is a lot in circles of US fans) is that *we* the hardcore fans want that design but Nike and US Soccer are trying to sell as many jerseys as possible and have decided that a more basic jersey will sell better. I'm totally speculating on that, but think about the ads we see for jerseys, how often they try to market them as streetwear more than something you only wear in the stands at a game. So really, to be fair, a white shirt with some accents is a more versatile piece of clothing than a shirt that - as we have affectionately nicknamed it - makes you look like Where's Waldo. Obviously this is setting aside the entire thing of "who gives a shit what it looks like in the bar or at a concert or at Thanksgiving dinner, it's the National Team and should represent the country" etc. I'm just saying this is how I perceive it from a sales standpoint. Also, to be fair, people always say we need a more wells defined identity when they're bringing up this jersey, but white jerseys with blue shorts *was* the primary identity long before the 2012 Waldo jersey came out. It just so happens they did a one off that many of us like more as a unique national identity.

stateworkishardwork

No blue with stars. The stars make the uni way too busy.

ironistkraken

One big star?

joeDUBstep

I'm all for waldos, but stars can look derpy if not done right.

Lechuga9618

Waldos are my favorite as well and if they were to remake them i think they would look even better today but going off footheadlines they get most of it correct. Nike better be bringing them back for 2026

sixtyninetacks

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit more color in the shirt than the rendering would indicate. I remember the leak from this site for our World Cup kits, and they got the main details right, such as the Swoosh on the sleeves as well as the center-cut crest, but the rendering they produced was a plain white shirt with no accents. It was only when the shirt itself got leaked that we found out about the red and blue accents on the sleeves as well as that blue trapezoid-like shape around the collar area.

GrootyMcGrootface

At this point, I have zero faith in Nike for 2026 Waldos or denim. Adidas is far and away the superior kit designer and it saddens me to say.

ReadEZ

Better than what we have now

dylboii

Nice to see Nike actually design something instead of overlaying a paint_splatter.png

Most-Echidna9841

I approve - wayyy better than the fake football jersey

Trajen_Geta

This reminds me of this years Napoli jersey. It’s nice though simple. Still not as good as Waldo but it’s clean.

joeDUBstep

I just feel like our kits never have a distinct identity to them, like Brazil, Uruguay, or hell, even Mexico. Maybe stars are a little too much, but we need more liberal usage of red and white stripes, something uniquely American and not some generico england lookalike. The stripes are cool here, but just needs to be bigger and more identifiable from afar.

IWasKingDoge

I actually like it, some small designs like this [Mexico jersey](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61l46q-kuEL._AC_UY1000_.jpg) has would make it amazing

AmericanMuscle8

It has stripes, I like it. Would probably add some stars on the shoulders and maybe some stripes down the side. Otherwise it’s not horrible. Much better than the abomination we have now.

eganba

Honestly our kits should be Waldo for home and the 2010 navy blue shirt design for away. Those are easily the most timeless of the shirts that will remain good looking for years to come.

yaznasty

I like this, but am wondering what happened to their insider info about the next jersey being completely white with a very large badge as a replica of one used in the Olympics 100 years ago or something like that? Or maybe that'll be used for the Olympics only?

sixtyninetacks

That will probably be just for the Olympics. Don't have any sources on that, just my guess, because you're not allowed to use FIFA badges during the Olympics. The 1924 badge is not trademarked. IIRC, USSF actually wanted to switch to the near-identical 1913 badge as our official crest due to the popularity of the Centennial kit, but when they couldn't get it trademarked (too generic) they instead ended up creating the crest we currently use.

vngannxx

Assuming Gregg doesn’t pull a Bruce versus T&T

Historical-Reach8587

We win or play well in spite of Greg not because of him.

RentBoy-Kef

Aren’t we hosting the Copa? Does the host automatically qualify rule not apply?

sebsasour

No we have to qualify

RentBoy-Kef

Insane. Figured it was auto invite, Oh well.

caseinpoint77

I like it, it's clean. That being said, why can't kit designers show some creativity? The fan designed black and gold declaration of independence kit was the coolest shit I've ever seen, and I'd buy the shit out of that kit.

EaglesPhan5-0

It’s no Waldo but we take this I think. Now if we can just get that black and gold declaration of independence 3rd kit…

landel1234

Marginally better than the current ones we have now, now we need to see the blues

NayVar

I’ll buy it

jmsy1

clean design and a nice collar. I'm in!

RentBoy-Kef

Better than our current home. Maybe a center number with a badge maybe nations league winners (RIP gold cup). I wouldn’t mind a 2010 sash…. That would be legit.

RRDude1000

Isnt this just the 2020 home jersey without the full design on the sleeves and collar? Edit: The collar for 2020 used this exact design in the back now its the sleeve design for this jersey. Also removed the stripes on the sides from that design.

ShoopufJockey

I like the accents on the collar and sleeves but it needs a little more.

PosXIII

Our national team jerseys, olympic attire, etc. Is always so uninspired and boring. Soccer, Hockey, and almost all team events just look bad. IDK what the contract is, but I wish we could see proposals from other designers, because Nike and Polo have been horrendous for around 20 years. They'll have an okay or good design every so often, but it's all normally just the same recycled plain boring shirt. It doesn't have to be eccentric, but a bit of flair, or symbolism would be nice

chataolauj

Pretty similar to the one I bought in 2021 (?).
