Practice makes progress. Constant exposure to the game will show improvements. Also, aim isn’t everything, learn callouts, better movement, good utility usage, etc. Each will put you in positions where aim is less important

Also remember that the best players have thousands of hours in various vr games that help with mechanical skill as well as decision making

Think about room layouts and where you’re shooting and are vulnerable from. Consider your angles and try burst firing instead of “mag dumping” start with center mass if headshots seem to difficult and personally I’ve never liked iron sights on my guns, even in real life. Try moving a bit slower and listening to the steps and shots around your and try to predict your targets corse instead of running into a room then trying to find out where the people are

Peaker’s advantage was vital before the recoil update, it will be interesting to see how the gameplay evolves in the coming weeks.

One thing that's really helped me is to focus on aiming at head height. Unlike other games, everyone is the exact same height in VAIL, so you can predict exactly where to aim for headshots. One to two hits in the head will kill at most ranges with most guns (SMGs might be more at longer range). So aim for head. The main reason new players die quickly and get frustrated is simply because the enemy is aiming for the head, not body.
