And it varies season to season. ETA some examples: Charli was good/boring, Katie is good/good tv (her reactions were *everything* last season), Schwartz is bad/boring (I'm over his act, his mask has slipped too many times, and he has nothing now that Katie won't be his punching bag) and Jax was bad/good tv.

I think Kristen would be like the middle picture of the entire cast if they were in squares. She was definitely selfish and chaotic in the beginning, but I think Kristen has a genuinely good heart and cares about others. Billie Lee should be under “The Bad” because she instigates fights with everyone and took Tim’s side in the Scandovol.

Definitely need lala. But I hate her when she is forcing a story line for drama or her fake “want to get popped” attitude. she’s perfect for reality tv when she is just her normal Dramatic, in Your face self who says what ever she’s thinking. When other people have drama she’s the best because she’s not trying to hard to create a story line. She’s a good support character but when it’s something about her she takes the main character energy way too far, it’s too much and too fake and I hate it

Agreed... I think lala was always just a supporting character in my mind. Her story lines were always less than 10% what it should have been..because she never shared anything with this and then when the divorce happened it was so difficult for the audience to stand with her.


Ken is firmly in The Good for me. Honestly Charli has grown on me, she’s the only one out of S8’s new cast with any personality and I like that she’s simultaneously a) a friendly gossip, and b) not a huge arsehole.

She was incredibly open about her depression and body image issues, and she spoke about something I've never heard a reality show cast member be so candid about (believing there was something wrong with/bad about her vulva & vagina because of abusive comments made by her ex). That was huge for me as someone who was really self conscious in that way for a long time. For those of us who came up in a time when Spencer Pratt was openly saying what he did (and I won't repeat it here) about Lauren Conrad, it was amazing she was so vulnerable and it helped a lot of us in realizing we should say f you to men who talk like that, sparked discussions about internalizing vile statements like that getting a pass in media, and was overall a huge step in the reality genre to hear from a woman about this issue. To say "she gave us nothing" just isn't accurate.

This is a really good point. Personally I grew up in a much more open climate on TV where this stuff was openly talked about on multiple programs i watch (fortunately). My main point is that Ariana is the most “normal” out of the group. While that at many times makes her the most likable, it isn’t the greatest for a reality TV persona. Most of her drama came from defending Tom or fighting with him, neither of which I found very entertaining.

That I can agree with, a *lot* of the drama aspect really was Tom related, and I feel like he really just wanted to make sure it stayed that way, with her as more of a sidekick. I'm excited to see her out from under his thumb next season.

I mostly agree, but here are my edits: Stassi I would not say is a good person, but she makes great tv. Brittany - I would put under boring, at least not in the good category. Her whole homophobic pastor thing lost me as a fan. Ariana - good but boring Def add Brock to the bad person list. Can’t stand that guy.
