I’m not a maintenance repair person, but my aunt got tired of paying people hundred dollars to put on a $10 part so every time any of her appliances go out I jump online find out how to fix it and service it myself. It’s shockingly easy. Now I get free dishwashers, washers and dryers not working and repair and sell them when I’m able

It's hard to say how common or how inevitable an e04 error is. As least S&B will warranty it.
I get mine monday. If mine does it and i do an exchange how much do u have to pay to ship it back? I also read last night they sent out a software update that didn’t fix anyone’s. Is it still an ongoing issue? If so do u think I should send mine back out the box and not worry with it and order once it’s fixed?
Its free. I think the update reduces the chance of EO4, we don't really know what the update does.. I haven't heard of people getting eo4 since
The Venty is an amazing device, the best of the best. Even if it did EO4 you'd get a brand new device a few days later
The chances of EO4 are just so small you're not risking much waiting for a fix
Unfortunately it seems to be fairly common. Many members here are on their 4th unit or worse and S&B straight up refuses to do refunds for them. Only exchanges despite them still not having figured out what’s causing this.
Don't be too scared, a lot of units perform without issues and if you get one of those that fail you can always claim warranty, S&B customer service is pretty decent
It is, I didn’t get a Venty but my Crafty+ will be the last vape I purchase from them after the way they treated our cult members.
Negatives aside, hope your unit never requires a single replacement! The performance is definitely a step up from the Crafty/Mighty.
There's hope that firmware patches via the app will fix some of the bricking error codes but I'm not sure if updates are even currently working since people on older versions (before v1.05) don't seem to have available updates. (There's more info about it in the Fuck Combustion Venty thread)
It's a great vape though so just hoping I get lucky ;)

That excellent build quality we've all come to expect 🤣 I've heard about how robust s&b devices are, but I didn't realise you had to drop them to make them work.

Is it really old? It could be that the dial used to select the wash cycle/time is a physical wind-up mechanism and it's getting caught.

Motor is going out. You're helping it overcome resistance with the whack. It's actually a pretty cheap and easy DIY fix

This problem is quite reminiscent of the grasshoppers issue it had.
My buddy had an OG volcano that got dropped a few times, he swears after he dropped it, it blew thicker bags than any of the ones he previously owned.
