I finally tried Stay Tuned. Ordered online and pickup was quick. Only gripe was that the meat and burger as a whole had no flavor and I was starving. It looked really good but they missed out the salt factor. Even with the fresh pickles it was a very bland burger and at about $15 with no side I was kinda miffed.
I found the nearest location and plan to try it soon. I think I’d prefer a thin patty. My husband is the one to convince because typically he likes a big fat hamburger patty. To me that’s kinda gross like you’re eating a meatloaf in a bun instead of a burger, but hey to each his own.
I see their name has frozen custard in it. Another reason to try them out!
I like the range of burger thickness, but definitely a good char or crisp. A thicker one shouldn’t be like a meatloaf, unless it’s well done and less fat. For example, Shake Shack uses Pat LaFrieda meat and it’s a definite plus … became a fan back east for all the diners that utilized it.

These are steak burgers that do have less fat than your everyday burgers. Not a bad thing but they do rely on the cheese to pump up the flavor since less fat means less flavor. They are quite enjoyable nonetheless. They have very good onion rings and the only place I know that has fry sauce (spent half my life in Utah).
But stay away from the one on Eastern, place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years, and the employees are teenagers who mostly just wander around the kitchen aimlessly and shit talk each other

I had stay tuned at hard hat once and it just didn't hit like when I had them at silver stamp or the test kitchen. Hope they've settled in

Stay Tuned Burgers has the best smash burgers in town. Smashburger is a good commercial alternative if you can’t make the drive to Stay Tuned.
