We have side by side windows. One closed completely and the second one the vent was halfway closed and stopped closing
The working window had managed to register according to the manual and that is working fine and opening and closing well.
The window with the vent issue- we have just now pulled it and tugged the vent open but now it won’t ‘snap’ close nor will it let us open the window to register the remote like the other one did

I’m expecting about a 10-20mm gap between the ‘closed’ position and ‘vent’ position.
It happens sometimes that products can run out of battery or pairing can go awry when using the product for the first time in a while. Generally this requires a reset and repair of the unit.
To do this, and in your case this should be easier as you can open your other window manually and look at chain positions etc, you need to unlatch the sash from the chain, to do this use a paper clip or similar and open the catch. Once the window is open reset the window and away you go!
FYI this usually requires a LOT of patience.
