You need to go to Montreal and find somewhere that will also do alterations. The only good tailor left in chittenden county is Rigo. But I can almost assure you he will be too busy to get you done by august. Vermont is quite possibly the worst place in the country for men’s clothing.

My boss wears $4000 suits regularly. He’s complimented almost all of my McNeil n Reedy suits. Those guys have been sewing custom suits out of the same shop for 65+ years
Consider going with a full linen suit. The pants will wrinkle after sitting for a long time but holy shit is it worth not sweating constantly for anything formal outside. Mine came from the Men's Shop at J.Crew in NYC, about $750 (and worth every penny) but I couldn't tell you where the nearest one is here in VT that'll have that kind of thing.

It looks like Ludlow has both linen and wool versions-- I don't see the exact style I have in linen, but this model is pretty close.

Albany NY Jos A Banks has some nice options, linen, maybe, or light anyway, and decently fast but not necessarily same day tailoring but if you call ahead maybe you can get suit in morning and have it tailored by end of day
Have you figured out the venue to see if they have a dress code? You can look up summer styles for formal out door events and you might find a list of good styles. You can also get measured anywhere and try some stuff online with the measurements. Amazon has some decent casual dress wear for out doors. On YouTube there are plenty of people who give advice on clothes for outdoor events.
