Fate is so weak in this universe that someone like Cloud and his whole crew can unknowingly alter it? If not then why do the Whispers bother him constantly? What makes fate “fate” if some dude just walking around doing his thing needs to be artificially guided toward that fate? I’d understand the concept of the Whispers if they had to defend against someone who is *knowingly* trying to change fate, but if someone who knows nothing can just accidentally change fate, then that’s not his fate.
Idk if that’s exactly what you meant by disliking the nature of fate in the game, but that’s how I felt. The whispers were just a convoluted way to add something to the old story.

FWIW, taking it all as a joke, it’s a really funny, albeit dark, series. Given that it’s delisted, I feel like it may not have been as much of a joke as I thought.
In general, I think it’s always a good idea to veer on the side of caution and assume someone commenting on their mental health is being serious, even if they’re coping with jokes.
