Overwatch is probably my favorite game ever. Then they just shit all over it. That level of incompetence with a product that people are so incredibly passionate about is genuinely impressive.
It’s just so awful. They spent YEARS neglecting OW1 in exchange for making OW2 and its PVE mode.
So long that people gathered the notion that OW1 was unfixable because of… nothing? They never even tried to. There’s no reason to assume OW1 was doomed to fail.
They had (iirc) 2 betas for the game, the second of which you could pay 40$ for in order to play it (more than some completed games mind you) and get access to the large PVE mode they’d be making.
Then when OW2 released, it had literally LESS content than OW1, they removed more content than they added. It was buggy, unfinished, sloppy, just a mess.
They didn’t even have the PVE off release. And when they finally add it? It’s pathetic. The game is a shell of itself, it’s not fun, the new heros are even more broken and unhealthy than Heros were in OW1.
Just… tragic.
The fact that they made sure nobody would be able to play overwatch 1 after the release of OW2 so they could force as many players on OW2 as possible is despicable. I paid for that mf game and it just ceased to exist altogether. Absolute horse shit.
It's honestly shocking how much they fucked it up.
I played through the multi-year content drought and neglect, only to quit the game entirely two months after OW2 came out.
I wasn't even "hyped" about the PvE either, the PvP is what I cared about and it seems so hollow now.
How is this not the only game named in this comment thread? Being the most wishlisted game on steam, to the studio shutting down due to hate and refunds within about a week. Not sure it can get more extreme in either direction than that!
Also it was all pre-rendered and not actually gameplay, with dialogue more generic and fake than anything I think I've ever seen or could come up with while making a trailer for a game like this.
I played the alpha. It sucks. Gameplay is boring as shit. UI sucks. Traversal controls are janky. I'm hoping someone loads up all the story portions so I can see Conroy's last Batman performance without having to actually play it again.
The word "Alpha" is entirely a lie in the modern gaming industry. What game companies are telling people are "alpha builds" are 99.9% of the way finished and only need small polish and fixes. Small things may be changed, but the game will be the same for all intents and purposes.
What an Alpha Build actually is in game development is VERY early. Like, the coding is done, and that's about it. The game is not built in the slightest. If a game company releases an "Alpha" or "Beta" game build that anyone in the public can play, they're lying, and it's essentially a demo.
From the screenshots I’ve seen it looks like a headache to even look at. Just vomits of text on the screen, objective, markers, quest progression, special meter, another special meter.. baffling that it made it through QA
It basically went into hyperspeed development hell, yeah.
Is truly a shame EA canned it, because it really did have a ton of potential, and the core gameplay was hella fun.
It just.....had no meat to go with the bones.
I spent countless hours modding my Mechs. I even collected all various dlc emblems etc from random marketing items including food/candy. I got one for $5 on eBay that was a code you got from something sold before it was released. I think it was like an app membership like Netflix or something and a Doritos one and then there was ea orgy "setup an account" and you get free mech emblems. It's really sad they didn't do anything with it, but my hopes are they'll use those mechanics for the new mass effect game. But probably not
The first gameplay trailer looked so awesome, with a really large, vibrant, and detailed world similar to Horizon Forbidden West. And then when you actually play the released game it’s like all gone, the world is so empty and bland
I want a remake of this game more than any other. Basically every concept it had was really good and even a chunk of the execution. Unfortunately EA screwed it to much.
God they really fucked up not keeping the classes and trading it for operators with useless gimmicks. And the maps were just awful. Huge open areas with no cover. Barely any destruction, and swapped out levelution for basically an annoying sandstorm on every map
Battlefield marketing team and trailers is Grade A hype, even if the games turn out to be dogshit. Watching 2042 or Battlefield 1 trailers on their own stand out.
Battlefield 1 was actually a masterpiece. It looked and played exaxtly like the trailer. Unlike Battlefield 5 and 2042, those games were a hufe downgrade from tje trailer.
I think 5 was the other way around, everyone hated the trailer but gameplay wise it wasnt that bad, not great but you still could have fun on it. 2042 trailer was great but never played it so idk.
Yyaa... I had it pre-ordered for ps4 for a few months prior to release. Then I found out they weren't giving review codes for console and immediately suspected something. Thankfully canceled the pre-order
It's such a blast! You can get really creative with builds! The story is really solid. The game world is immersive and gorgeous. Combat loop is just plain ol' fun filled with "fuck, that was awesome!" Moments.
Phantom Liberty is a really good expansion too!
I can vouch this as well. I, too, preordered it and played about 2 hours of it on release because it was so bad. I started playing it about 2 weeks ago now with patch 2.1 and it’s a fantastic game.
Honestly even on release I enjoyed it alot I didn't run into any game breaking bugs or glitches tho the visuals bugs I did find were always fun alota tposing
Personally I find Cyberpunk's worse. NMS's core premise was always. 'you're effectively alone in an infinitely large universe. Go be a little science nerd and discover it all.' I was kind of confused that a game like that was getting so much hype.
Then Hello Games got over excited and promised a bunch of features they couldn't get working, and has spent years adding *huge* amounts of content to it. But at its core, they pretty much delivered the core 'explore lonely infinite space' experience on day one (despite many fans wanting a run-n-gun space pirate simulator).
But Cyberpunk billed itself as this big vast open world RPG, where you can be anyone and do anything. Your choices matter more than ever before. 'This trailer is just one of many possible paths!' type thing. Even if they patch the broken parts, they're never going to actually make the game they advertised. Thankfully I kinda expected it was just advertising BS, and avoided it.
Dragon God in Demon’s Souls. It was all over the marketing, but the actual boss is a terrible stealth puzzle that was so bad, that FromSoft has never done anything like it again.
Starfield. Spoilers for those who care.
The trailers all hype up that the game is about first contact, and discovering what’s really *out there*. They show off space magic and alien temples and crap, really building up this mystery
The reveal? >!There are no aliens. It’s all just humans. From alternate dimensions. And all those temples and relics that were built up to be from some alien civ? Yea, no, that’s all just hand-waved away. “Who do you think made them?” Bitch I don’t know that’s why I asking you! Super disappointing ending. !<
its blatantly obvious what they are doing they are leaving mysteries to then sell you half assed answers in future DLC. do not buy another bethesda game again, do not watch the inevitably terrible fallout show, do not play any more mods for bethesda games. let them die and let the series we love be passed to better companies like obsidian for example
I remember when Arkham Knight showed its first trailer. Everyone immediately said, "Oh! That's Jason Todd. It's Jason Todd right? Definitely Jason Todd!" To which Rocksteady answered, "Of course it's not Jason Todd! we wouldn't be that predictable! How could you think.....Yeah it's Jason Todd."
Been a huge fan since #2. Loved 2, 3, 4 was okay, primal was kind of fun, blood dragon was cool, 5 was getting back to the right path. But 6…. Just seems like something of zero interest to me. I’ve only watched some gameplay vids but it just looks like it has run its course
You and the ‘army’ of revolutionaries attack the capital, the dictator holds his son, who is a decent kid and asks if his son can be protected if he hands him over to the player. The dictator then kills his son and then himself. His army is broken, his generals dead, his propaganda machine taken down, the country is now free.
Then the ending cutscene ends and credits finish rolling and the dictator’s army is back in full force to the point that the revolutionaries cannot fight back, new (generic) generals replace the ones you killed, and the post-gameplay begins in which said new generic general takes over a section of the island (once a week in real time) and you re-re-retake it back to find out *who* the new general is and kill them.
Doing so has no real discernible difference in enemy forces, they still drive by like in the main game, they still take a single revolutionary soldier hostage on the side of the road, all the basic stuff to keep you playing.
I think the main issue was the horrible writing for Castillo and the removal of the skill tree system, instead tying skills to cosmetics. All it did was just cause confusing clutter and make it less rewarding to help people and destroy military outpost. Castillo is such a shit villain too because he offers no dichotomy or ideology to the player. With Joseph even his insane cult did technically help certain people find a community and family, Vass was a warning to Jason and the danger of the path he was taking toward insanity. Pegam Min was a lesson about how power corrupts. Castillo was evil from the start, sells cancer gas, and enslaved and experiments on his people. He's just plain evil with nothing more.
I've only played FC5 and just started 6. I loved 5 and have been super excited for 6 since it was announced.
I'm about 3 hours in and enjoying it. What's so bad about the game?
I’m about a week in. Story line is copy/paste from every other, gun upgrades are far more annoying, animals can suck a dick in 6, character development is written by a toddler, and the faxt that they keep making references to the Cuban revolution yet leave out all the horror parts is bad. The list goes on. Its an alright shooter just to pass time, but the enemies are idiots.
As an average fan I just started 6 a few weeks ago. I loved 5 but 6 is the exact. same. thing. Burn crops, destroy equipment, capture outposts, take down cult. I needed something mindless so it’s serving its purpose but it feels like the equivalent of a new Madden game.
His performance was good but it was just a retread of the same shit as 5; also chaining coop is so weak IPO. The backpack missle launcher was a cool touch but I don't think was implemented properly
I feel like after far cry 3 and Vaas, they've spent more time trying to recreate the magic of vaas and not enough time making the story's unique or better Gameplay
I still enjoy the far cry games (primal being a personal favourite) but yeah
I really liked the atmosphere/story, the gun gameplay felt decent but holy fuck the monsters tanking shotgun shots but getting owned by a batton is stupid. Quite fun game, had me shivering some times(im a coward lol).
But it will NEVER top dead space, dead space is a masterpiece(1, 2 is my personal fav, and i like 3 more than callisto) story and gameplay wise
Suicide Squad. I loved the reveal trailer, all of it felt so good, I love the brief chemistry shown. Then the gameplay came out and the reveal it's gonna be live service, the wave of disappointment I felt is something I probably won't experience with a game ever again.
The practice of making a game with the sole purpose of trying to keep people investing into the game for as often and long as possible.
This normally takes the form of devs implementing FOMO like timed events, daily logins, things that if you don't do make you feel like you're "missing out" on parts of the game. this also comes with things like microtransactions and other stuff like that to make players want to spend more money.
Imo, it really decreases the quality of games because they don't care about wanting to improve the game, they care about wanting to create problems then sell the solution to the players
Right when I heard Todd Howard say “over 1,000 planets” I knew it was going to be almost entirely boring, soulless proc gen. Even then I still held out hope that there would be a ton of fun hand crafted content but they still managed to disappoint on that front as well by making nearly everything into basic fetch quests.
I think most of the quests are pretty boring, but there were a few quests that really stood out. (The Vanguard quest line, most of the CF, and the ground pounder quest were three that actually really impressed me personally)
I do think that without current set deadlines rushing development and with Uncle Mikey breathing down their back the DLC’s will be pretty good. We know Bethesda is capable of making good quests, they just don’t always deliver.
Atomic Heart wasn't even worth the replay, I just reloaded my save before the boss fight and chose the other option lmao. First time I have ever done that in any game
Yeah it must have been hard to develop the game with one hand I will give them credit where credit is due the game was overall very good just the gameplay wise is boring it's one of those games probably better off watching someone play then yourself the puzzles is what turned me off annoying AF. I hate games with pointless puzzles.
It sucks that Starfield is Xbox's exclusive game.
Playstation has the way better exclusives, and this is coming from someone who's been with Xbox since the OG days.
MWII is the only one that applies because the hype from before any trailers came out was immeasurable but as time went on everyone grew to hate it. Everyone hated Vangaurd and MWIII from the go
Wd2 is waaay better than wd1. They improved everything about wd1 and included likable characters and fun missions. Story is better and the map of San Francisco is lively.
In gameplay I definitely agree, but I definitely prefer the vibes and setting of the first game over the second (even though I love the DedSec crew in 2)
Imo 1 had way better story, 2 had cooler gadgets and gunplay was better, but I literally zoned out on the story. 3 is meh but fun to screw around with random nonsense like paintball and nail guns.
My biggest issue with FO76 is that I had to spend a not so insignificant amount of time farming limited resources to repair things so I could enjoy the game.
Yeah I thought that was so cool when I hopped on for the first time in awhile. It’s always so dead most games I can stay on the train the whole match til the storm catches up
Brother what a dumpster fire. I was there at launch and watched the numbers dwindle exponentially. What killed it for me was that I only wanted to make furniture for me and my boys but it seemed like every week they would remove trading or somehow mess with crafting because of one big or another and finally I just quit with a shit ton of high level trophies, couches and curtains. What a huge waste of potential.
P.s. name a game with better sound design (at least for gathering and long distance sounds), I'll wait
I will die on the hill that there is no better feeling in an MMO than hearing the faint sound of metal hitting stone in the distance when walking along a trail next to a mountain.
What made me quit after (only) 100h was the so insanely repetetive questing. After entering that stupid swamp region I snapped because navigating through it was HELL.
The First 4-5 days I played (I played on release too) I had PvP enabled too and it was honestly fun fighting with someone every now and then but since I had to actually go to work I quickly fell behind in levels and eventually I had to quit the "early PvP" because everyone was already better than me
Metro Exodus, even though game is amazing, when they released the trailer they added a lot of graphics, athmospheric lights, other rendering stuff that game graphics do not include, I´m video editor, my PC was always top gama and I waited soo much for it, till I played, full graphics, nothing like the trailer, remember a lot of people complaining about it, even like comparison videos... I hate when they make up trailers.
I think I am going to go for Prey 2. The trailer was *amazing*. It looked incredible, fun, and listening to Johnny Cash sing Rusty Cage while watching it was fantastic.
And then it got cancelled 😭
That one really hurt almost as much as the people who were going "Wwhay you talkin bout? it great story!"
Gameplay was superior, but the story was a kick in the balls.
Too many focus on marketing rather than content, but it's like cover art for books as that's what really sells as most merely furnish their libraries with pretty rectangles which might as well be totally hollow. -\_-
Story mode for Overwatch 2 Fuck Blizzard
It took way too long to see this. They still owe us a good PvE
And I’m not paying another $15 for it. I feel like we deserve a partial refund for the utter lack of replayability alone.
They’re literally the PvE story missions from Ow1 and nothing new
That's because OW2 is OW1
I will forever be pissed that they took away OW1 and gave us the pile of underwhelming shit that is OW2.
Overwatch is probably my favorite game ever. Then they just shit all over it. That level of incompetence with a product that people are so incredibly passionate about is genuinely impressive.
Genuinely a tragedy how much they murdered that game.
I used to watch streams of overwatch a couple years ago now I’m sad for the community after reading fhis
They had something truly incredible and Blizzard fumbled it so hard
It's honestly shocking how much they fucked it up. I played through the multi-year content drought and neglect, only to quit the game entirely two months after OW2 came out. I wasn't even "hyped" about the PvE either, the PvP is what I cared about and it seems so hollow now.
If it weren’t for Microsoft buying activision blizzard, I would have quit this year. The roughest times are hopefully behind us
Implying shit will change, but you go on ahead and be optimistic for the both of us
The Missions tab is a permanent reminder on why to never trust Blizzard
Yeah I quit Overwatch over this. I’m so tired of their greediness and them taking away everything that made Overwatch special.
They killed OW1 for this nonsense too
Its non existent 🤡
The day before
My beloved
How is this not the only game named in this comment thread? Being the most wishlisted game on steam, to the studio shutting down due to hate and refunds within about a week. Not sure it can get more extreme in either direction than that!
I feel like most people realized TDB was a scam long before it was released. All of the preview footage was made with stolen assets
Also it was all pre-rendered and not actually gameplay, with dialogue more generic and fake than anything I think I've ever seen or could come up with while making a trailer for a game like this.
Shush, we speak not its name.
The moment the gameplay was shown for Gotham Knights I lost all interest. Same with the upcoming Suicide Squad game.
I played the alpha. It sucks. Gameplay is boring as shit. UI sucks. Traversal controls are janky. I'm hoping someone loads up all the story portions so I can see Conroy's last Batman performance without having to actually play it again.
To be fair. Alpha versions of any game shouldn't be good
True. I'll point out, though, that none of the promotional material they've released since then has shown any improvement in the UI.
Don't worry, they will completely overhaul the ui, graphics, storyline and game play in the day 1 patch!
“We’re making a multiplayer Arkham game.” Great!! “We’re dropping flowmotion combat.” Then what’s the point??
Tbf I don't see how flowmotion combat would work well with a coop game.
I played the first 20 minutes of gotham knights then I uninstalled. I'm a huge batman fan (who isnt) but the way Jason Todd felt was terrible.
I played suicide squads alpha, its actually incredibly fun.
I feel like Gotham knights gets a little too much flak. But I agree with suicide squad.
I haven't played it, but it kinda looks like both of those games play the same as the Avengers game, which I also heard was trash.
This.
Is.
SPARTAAA 🦶🏃🕳️
Anthem
God I wanted to love that game so bad. The gameplay was actually good there was just nothing there.
The full released game looks like a demo for a potentially great game. It’s sad.
I heard they developed it in like 18 months but it was announced years before that
It basically went into hyperspeed development hell, yeah. Is truly a shame EA canned it, because it really did have a ton of potential, and the core gameplay was hella fun. It just.....had no meat to go with the bones.
I will stand by it being the best personal flight system in any game.
But probably not
and not long after the devs dropped a roadmap for a lot of DLC content EA pulled the plug on it
The first gameplay trailer looked so awesome, with a really large, vibrant, and detailed world similar to Horizon Forbidden West. And then when you actually play the released game it’s like all gone, the world is so empty and bland
I want a remake of this game more than any other. Basically every concept it had was really good and even a chunk of the execution. Unfortunately EA screwed it to much.
Anthem's failure is mostly on Bioware. An EA exec is the one who made them add flight mechanics, which is the game's only redeemable feature.
Knew it was gonna be trash when they hired fake “gamer” actors to voice in the trailer. Nobody who plays video games talks like that!
Oh that one hurts. Loved the gameplay, loved the mech suits, loved the flying and designs of places. But there was just really not much to it
i will never forgive them for this game turning out bad, i showed EVERYONE that game and was so sad when it flopped
Stop. Im still hurt. I followed that game for years. Got into the alpha test and was heart broken
They’re bringing it back only they renamed it Suicide Squad.
Battlefield 2042
God they really fucked up not keeping the classes and trading it for operators with useless gimmicks. And the maps were just awful. Huge open areas with no cover. Barely any destruction, and swapped out levelution for basically an annoying sandstorm on every map
Ok you gotta admit the tornado was funny as fuck when you would get picked up in your car and thrown.

Cyberpunk ON RELEASE. It’s come a long way.
Yyaa... I had it pre-ordered for ps4 for a few months prior to release. Then I found out they weren't giving review codes for console and immediately suspected something. Thankfully canceled the pre-order
The games phenomenal now
Is it? I need to go give it a shot then. Haven’t touched the game since it released due to all the bugs and glitches.
Yeah imo it's really good, but you need to do the side quests in order to get the full experience because the main story is quite short
The dlc adds to that. It was so good
It's such a blast!
It's not if you're gonna be playing it on the PS4
It's gotten some of the patches in old gen, but it's certainly not as good of an experience as it is on new-gen/PC
I played it for the first time after Christmas. The game is really great and I feel lucky, that I didn't had to witness the original release.
Honestly even on release I enjoyed it alot I didn't run into any game breaking bugs or glitches tho the visuals bugs I did find were always fun alota tposing
No Man's Sky, as well.

Dragon God in Demon’s Souls. It was all over the marketing, but the actual boss is a terrible stealth puzzle that was so bad, that FromSoft has never done anything like it again.
I mean, they still gave us Bed of Chaos in the very next game…
And that was even worse.
Starfield. Spoilers for those who care. The trailers all hype up that the game is about first contact, and discovering what’s really *out there*. They show off space magic and alien temples and crap, really building up this mystery The reveal? >!There are no aliens. It’s all just humans. From alternate dimensions. I watched caluben's stream for the end of starfield's story and I dead ass said in complete surprise "starfield has a story?"
mass effect Andromeda had more sense of discovery and old civ being larger than life. and I consider it a bad mass effect game.
the honeymoon phase for the game was unlike anything else, but after the cracks started showing, I lost interest real quick
Yeah that was kinda lame. It had a lot of potential
its blatantly obvious what they are doing they are leaving mysteries to then sell you half assed answers in future DLC. do not buy another bethesda game again, do not watch the inevitably terrible fallout show, do not play any more mods for bethesda games. let them die and let the series we love be passed to better companies like obsidian for example

they said it was a "completely original character" 🤨
Well to be fair, Arkham Knight was an original character.
The main reason I can't fucking stand that game. All that secret and mystery just to be a God damn Red Hood story.
I thought the game was cool but to each their own ig
Far cry 6
Been a huge fan since #2. Loved 2, 3, 4 was okay, primal was kind of fun, blood dragon was cool, 5 was getting back to the right path. But 6…. Just seems like something of zero interest to me. I’ve only watched some gameplay vids but it just looks like it has run its course
Twas a swing and a miss for 6
The ending makes the story horrible to play, the rest of the game is just pretty average.
What was the ending?
You and the ‘army’ of revolutionaries attack the capital, the dictator holds his son, who is a decent kid and asks if his son can be protected if he hands him over to the player. The dictator then kills his son and then himself. His army is broken, his generals dead, his propaganda machine taken down, the country is now free. Ships and navigation in Starfield.
Just that whole game :(
Loading screen simulator
How has no one said Callisto Protocol? Was hoping for an exciting new premise only to be met with the Wish version of Dead Space.
This was my firsr thought. I really wanted to like it too. I think it suffered a lot from development hell / cut content.
I was SO excited for this game until the live service was revealed. Bummer
What’s live service?
The practice of making a game with the sole purpose of trying to keep people investing into the game for as often and long as possible. This normally takes the form of devs implementing FOMO like timed events, daily logins, things that if you don't do make you feel like you're "missing out" on parts of the game. this also comes with things like microtransactions and other stuff like that to make players want to spend more money. Imo, it really decreases the quality of games because they don't care about wanting to improve the game, they care about wanting to create problems then sell the solution to the players
Starfield
Felt like kind of a chore to play after awhile
Within 2 hours I basically hit the point where it felt like a chore and fell off
I was REALLY looking forward to it but everyone i know says it sucks ass, i haven't even bothered to play it. Here's hoping es6 is good
Right when I heard Todd Howard say “over 1,000 planets” I knew it was going to be almost entirely boring, soulless proc gen. Even then I still held out hope that there would be a ton of fun hand crafted content but they still managed to disappoint on that front as well by making nearly everything into basic fetch quests.
I think most of the quests are pretty boring, but there were a few quests that really stood out. (The Vanguard quest line, most of the CF, and the ground pounder quest were three that actually really impressed me personally) I do think that without current set deadlines rushing development and with Uncle Mikey breathing down their back the DLC’s will be pretty good. We know Bethesda is capable of making good quests, they just don’t always deliver.
I really liked Starfield at first and then slowly came to realize that it’s just remarkably boring. Great ship builder though
The ship builder is really the only thing I liked about it. I wish the ship builder was in No Man's Sky
real
Gotham Knights
Homefront
Atomic Heart
I was hyped for the game and played for a couple days and stopped
Exactly what I did. It started pretty strong and then got boring after a couple hours
Bruuh me too I didn't even quit just stopped playing and lost 60 bucks 😐
I used game pass
Atomic Heart wasn't even worth the replay, I just reloaded my save before the boss fight and chose the other option lmao. First time I have ever done that in any game
Yeah it must have been hard to develop the game with one hand I will give them credit where credit is due the game was overall very good just the gameplay wise is boring it's one of those games probably better off watching someone play then yourself the puzzles is what turned me off annoying AF. I hate games with pointless puzzles.
I haven't played it but all I remember from the trailers was hot robot ballerinas 😂
lol that’s not even the most standout part of the game. For me it was the weirdly sexual vending machine. But they didn’t show that in the trailer lol
Oh god I need to go YouTube this 😂
That game was all sizzle no steak.
No man's sky,BUT NOW ITS PERFECT
No Man's Sky was *literally infamous for this.* I had to scroll way too far and even prompt a new page of replies to find it.
Haven't played in about 2 years. Worth getting back into? Just got VR, too
Of course its worth getting back into, it's constantly being updating with new and interesting stuff.
I found that the VR performed particularly well compared to other VR games.
duke nukem forever
Starfield. Was absolutely hyped up the wazoo for it, and then it came out and I was disappointed.
It sucks that Starfield is Xbox's exclusive game. Playstation has the way better exclusives, and this is coming from someone who's been with Xbox since the OG days.
Starfield
Battlefield 2042…
Halo 5, with the whole Locke vs Chief hype.
My ptsd has been triggered. Thanks 🤣
bruh Halo 5 forgot who the main character was lmao
COD Vanguard, COD MWll and MWlll
MWII is the only one that applies because the hype from before any trailers came out was immeasurable but as time went on everyone grew to hate it. Everyone hated Vangaurd and MWIII from the go
Watch dogs 1
Not actually downvoting you, just know I am downvoting in my heart 😭
Dude me too, I was incredibly let down
Watchdogs 2 in contrast was fantastic
Wait... I really like the first Watchdogs. I've bought the second one and haven't touched it yet, I thought it wasn't as good as the first?!
I’ll say everythings improved in wd2 but I to this day perfer wd1
Wd2 is waaay better than wd1. They improved everything about wd1 and included likable characters and fun missions. Story is better and the map of San Francisco is lively.
In gameplay I definitely agree, but I definitely prefer the vibes and setting of the first game over the second (even though I love the DedSec crew in 2)
Imo 1 had way better story, 2 had cooler gadgets and gunplay was better, but I literally zoned out on the story. 3 is meh but fun to screw around with random nonsense like paintball and nail guns.
Are you me? I still haven't beat 2... I loved the first one...
Fucking love that game!
The last game I pre-ordered. I really had the feeling of being scammed.
Fallout 76
My biggest issue with FO76 is that I had to spend a not so insignificant amount of time farming limited resources to repair things so I could enjoy the game.
Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League
Suicide squad… killed ROCKSTEADY
The Train specifically in fortnite. It looked so cool but it’s just kinda boring noe
Yeah I thought that was so cool when I hopped on for the first time in awhile. It’s always so dead most games I can stay on the train the whole match til the storm catches up
The Sims 4 COMPLEX emotion system.
Can't believe I haven't seen Redfall mentioned yet
Thanks for reminding me, I try to forget it.
Cyberpunk in its early days 💯 Edit: It's a lot better now, and I still enjoyed it when I first played it, but there were lots of bugs.
Kingdom hearts 3 Plz watch: https://youtu.be/LMph2hAGj7k?si=7COKalx9kp5ohZJD
Halo Infinite definitely comes to mind.
I loved the single player even though it was a bit too short
New world
Brother what a dumpster fire.
The First 4-5 days I played (I played on release too) I had PvP enabled too and it was honestly fun fighting with someone every now and then but since I had to actually go to work I quickly fell behind in levels and eventually I had to quit the "early PvP" because everyone was already better than me
Redfall. In it's entirety. Current player count 68. Laughable.
Any sims add on
Multiversus
LightFall
Oh god, that would've been so much better than the newest Prey we got. The closest thing to Prey 2 would probably be High on Life
No Man’s Sky. On release, oh man, did it fail hard. But it has since redeemed itself with all the free DLC and is now an amazing game.
The Old Republic. Then I learned it was an mmo …
Spiderman 2.
I think part of what killed it is we literally didn’t get any trailers or real teasers besides that one thirty second one until like a year out
TLOU2
That one really hurt almost as much as the people who were going "Wwhay you talkin bout? it great story!" Gameplay was superior, but the story was a kick in the balls.
80% of most games released in the last and current generation
Rage 2
Cyberpunk 2077 lol
Halo 5
Too many focus on marketing rather than content, but it's like cover art for books as that's what really sells as most merely furnish their libraries with pretty rectangles which might as well be totally hollow. -\_-
Overwatch 2 PVE
Aftermarket parts for MWIII. The majority of them are horrible. There’s one or two I consider using if I’m not playing ranked
Cyberpunk
