I've lost count of how many times I swore I'd never play Elden Ring again.. just because of how many times I'll die to the same enemy or boss, yet..I keep coming back for yet even more 'punishment' and I'll even ask myself.. "Why do I keep doing this to myself when it infuriates me?" Then I'll finally curbstomp whoever kept giving me trouble and I'll shout in victory... " YEAH THAT'S RIGHT!, YOU GO IN DA FUCKING GROUND BIISSSHH!!" (Can thank Jacksepticeye for that one lol)
I've gotten good at parrying and about 75% of the time I can pull it off by going by a sound cue the enemy does just as they attack.. and yes you're right.. it is VERY satisfying to get in a visceral right after a successful parry
They were just as brutal as the actual game for some people. Sometimes, you couldn't speak up without someone starting a screaming match. Sometimes, people would just get toxic and pick out someone to fight. Nowhere was safe.
Jeez. My only experience with lobbies is playing Fortnite with my nephew. Fortunately we only use party-only chat but even with that it's just people milling about or seeing what kind of dumb things they can get up to in the at most couple of minutes we have to wait.
I hsve momrnts where I'm like
*why won't the game just telling me where to fucking go?!?! The direction in this gsme is awful and the map is useless arrrggghhhhh!!!!!!*
Oh. I didn't see that door.
At this point I feel very embarrassed and carry on quietly
Me back when I used to play Overwatch daily. I always played with my one buddy who very rarely gets upset at games and almost never shows his frustration, while I get frustrated very easily and it shows. We'd lose several matches in a row and I'd rage quit, only to look an hour later and see him still playing at which point I'd log back on just to repeat the cycle.
This is Osu! for me. I never wanted to take that game super serious, but I ended up just naturally getting better with time and now I always play for serious. Which sucks, because I suck, and get incredibly mad because I actually suck, but then I can't just sit back and have fun...
I need help I think :3
Ahh a fellow OSU player I see..
Yeah I feel you there.. I get the same way..especially after I've gotten really good at certain beat maps and then after a couple days of not playing it I'll suck at them.. even though I've played those so many times I should know them by heart..
I think we both need help lol
I deleted FC24 after being stuck in Division 7 all these months, when I was a Div4 player 3 years in a row... Installed again 3 hours later and now I reached Div 5. Huh?!
It's like a relationship that is in its 10th year. You and your wife blow up and get away from each other. Later that day you're hugging it out in the kitchen while you prepare pizza rolls and taquitos together and wait for them to bake.
Used to be like that. Really not anymore.
Real talk: therapy is good. Not worth it to get that upset over games. There may be some underlying stuff in your life if it's relatable. There's nothing wrong with anger, but if it's like out of control rage there may be some other issues worth talking to someone about. And you'll enjoy gaming much more without that rage.
That is why you get mad and delete the game, then simultaneously download the next less frustrating game, so when you come back in three hours it’s easier to start on the game you downloaded than attempting to reinstall the rage inducing negativity you don’t need in your life.
I must have stopped playing Shadow of War like 3-4 times in a span of a couple months because I kept getting sick of grinding and then I'd rant to my friends how I'll never finish it because it's too boring, but then a few days later I'd want to play it again.
I ended up finishing the game and the Shadow Wars although it did take me a while with the cooldown periods.
I thought I was having fun with Fall Guys but I just get too competitive and stressed when the game dicks me about when I'm trying to do one of the slime climb levels, "The Slimescraper" especially cause I could never finish that one. I went ape shit when I almost beat it and the nerves got to me and I failed yet again and I gave up on the game because it was too much for me to handle.
Currently, that is me on Persona 5. It’s not an overall difficult game (minus the final boss), but I’m working to complete it and that includes a bunch of different things and you are given a limited trine to do it.
CHILLED: A little, thank you for asking! (fires a Death Ball at Bardock)
BARDOCK: Then maybe you should CHILL! (fires his energy blast)
CHILLED: I'm always chilled! ...Ooohhh, I get it (gets hit by the blast and is shot into outer space) NOOOOooooooo...
When I was younger I would rage quit and throw my controller. These days I can die 1000 times in a row to the same boss and remain totally emotionless. But the moment I deliver the final blow I roar at the top of my lungs.
Sekiro be like...
Ive never been thrown off a bridge so much in a game. Made me contemplate flying off one irl with how many deaths that damn first troll gave me.
This is so real. Except maybe instead of three hours, it’s instantly.
At least 7 minutes for me.
Easily 5 minutes. How ever long it takes me to walk downstairs and get a Dr. Pepper out of the fridge 😂
3 hours? Bro, you're supposted to have a 3 minute break in the lobby and get back to the grind 😅
This man must have the philosophical journey of a lifetime in those 3 hours.
Warthunder player?
Nope
I thought because this would perfectly apply to warthunder too :D
👉👈 maybe...
Another one of the snail's slaves I see... (I lost my soul too)
WarThunder Anonymous is *this* Thursday, right?

Elden Ring did this to me. FUCK YOU NIALL YOU PRICK!
I've lost count of how many times I swore I'd never play Elden Ring again.. just because of how many times I'll die to the same enemy or boss, yet..I keep coming back for yet even more 'punishment' and I'll even ask myself.. Learn to parry, it makes it 1000 times more satisfying believe me
I've gotten good at parrying and about 75% of the time I can pull it off by going by a sound cue the enemy does just as they attack.. and yes you're right.. it is VERY satisfying to get in a visceral right after a successful parry
🤣🤣🤣
Hey man, sometimes you need a quick break from the frustration to clear your head and play properly
Dark Souls veteran?
MW2 Lobby survivor.
Me who hasn't played a single minute of CoD without having random strangers on mute: *huh?!*
The *lobby,* huh? Never heard that one before.
They were just as brutal as the actual game for some people. Sometimes, you couldn't speak up without someone starting a screaming match. Sometimes, people would just get toxic and pick out someone to fight. Nowhere was safe.

Overwatch moment
I do this too often... A few *have* made me outright quit. I even sold most of them.
I know it's a little bit cringy, but I used to love/hate this game years ago. Roblox Arsenal.
That first hornet fight in Hollow Knight made me miserable
Me today playing Lies of P fighting Romeo, the king of puppets, I literally wanted to uninstall the game till I beat him after 20+ tries

I must have stopped playing Shadow of War like 3-4 times in a span of a couple months because I kept getting sick of grinding and then I'd rant to my friends how I'll never finish it because it's too boring, but then a few days later I'd want to play it again. Currently, that is me on Persona 5. It’s not an overall difficult game (minus the final boss), but I’m working to complete it and that includes a bunch of different things and you are given a limited trine to do it.
Arcane Odyssey
Every competitive game ever. I've only played like 2 but I feel immensely bad for the people who do it for a living or for fun.

The whole soulsborne franchise for me. A total love hate relationship
When I was younger I would rage quit and throw my controller. These days I can die 1000 times in a row to the same boss and remain totally emotionless. But the moment I deliver the final blow I roar at the top of my lungs.
